Why dont most mods add a comment to Mod alert issues when they close them so we can see what was done to resolve the issue.

Depends on what the issue is. If it is a repost alert, I tend to just merge the threads and not add a comment. I will almost always put comments in however if I close the alert without taking action explaining why I disagree or the reason I close it.

What would you recommend be included?

i only put a comment if i disagree, or the comment would be other than a one word merged/deleted type.

all it takes is for it to say something like "merged, closed, edited, deleted, attn: mr.sd" etc etc.

This can be frustrating for the people who are mod alerting. Sometimes I have no idea what the result was. It is helpful to get feedback so I can get a better idea of what should be mod alerted, and what would be a waste of time to mod alert again. I always appreciated even a short comment from the mod.

i watched the carver finale pretty cool.

Yes the comments help sometimes i feel that they get closed with no action because that person is popular on the board or something and is allowed to do whatever they want.

Yeah I like when the mods respond with comments... only Redsolar and Lowpro did that with my modalerts (with one exception from TR)

I never thought to do it. I didn't know that that many people check the comments field. I don't see a reason to enter a comment for obvious reposts, but I'll try to be better with it.
