extremely high noise floor for such a small low powered set.
auto matrixing can't be disabled, WTF, it takes any stereo signal and sends this weird distorted version to the rear speakers. the rear sound so incredibly bad.
So, you have to rely on the matrix to auto-detect whether your source is stereo or indeed surround.
- so if during a movie the rear channel is quiet long enough, it'll splice the front to the back. OMFG who thought this was a good idea.
Worse yet, they didn't seal the power cord, so the air from inside the subwoofer escapes via the power cord exit, and makes a pfffffft pffftt sound.. :(
-fixable with hot glue,, but they shoulda debugged this.
I am horrified by what has become of the original x530 series :(:(:(
If you guys use this as a 2.1 set with the rear speakers pulled, it may work fine, but NO WAY is this a proper 5.1 system. :(:(
