View Full Version : Advanced Search still not working
Advanced search is still not work. Specifically when i try to sort by thread start date. It's been over a week now. I see threads starting in 2003 and ending in 2005. Anyone know whats up? I'm using firefox 2.0 and IE 7.0. Same problem with both.

Yes when the topic ws first posted. I don't think any of the advanced search features are working lately, they only show things from 2003 to 2005.
There is another thread also complaining about search problems but it looks like it went cold so i created another one. I'm sure i'm not the only one having these problems but i have seen no official response to anything or anykind of timetable.
Can someone else please do these searchs and tell me your results.
When i use advanced search and select thread start date and title search only for "dell" it works fine.
Then i do the same exact search for the word "year" (looking for recent mag subscription deals) and everything is from 2003.
Anyone else?

Try searching for titles only in the meantime, see if it helps. There may be a small issue with searching full threads and ordering them the way you asked.

I actually never search full threads anyway, only by thread title.
Titles only search in advanced without the date sorting works a little better but still a bit on the random side.
I always used to search by title only with a sorting of thread start date and was working great up until about a week ago. Why is it searching for the word DELL seems to work but the word YEAR doesn't?

Right now search results are based on relevance above all, so there is a chance it for some reasons thinks older threads with "year" in them are more relevant.
Now advanced search with the word Dell and thread start date sorting isn't working either. Any ideas how long before this will be taken care of? It's seems to be a intermittent problem but very frustrating. It's almost impossible to search for anything without be forced to sit there and and find what your looking for out of 10+ pages of threads.
