I had http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=86892&t=389073 in Freebies stickied. There was a repost of it tonight which I MODalerted. When I went back to the main page of Freebies & refreshed it was no longer stickied. I re-stickied the thread but don't think that it was me who caused it to get un-stuck, maybe a SD problem?

Yes I know this post is very gooey (sticky) :).

this probably depends on how the threads are merged.

stickies are probably based on thread id numbers. if, after merging threads, the thread you sticked keeps its thread id number, then it probably stays a sticky. however, after merging, if the thread you stickied adopts the thread id number for the thread w/ which it was merged, then that would lead to it becoming unstickied (or unstuck?).

granolagirl is correct, it's exactly what happened. Same happens with subscriptions every now and then when they are merged.

Thank you GranolaGirl & RedSoalar. I will keep a lookout for my stickies in the future plus I will make sure to wash my hands after stick"e"ing.
