I think it would be fun to start a chat room or maybe an IRC channel. We all could discuss the various deals, and I am sure, BS a lot. Of course nothing could replace Slickdeals, but some user interaction would be nice.

I would love to watch a chat with some of the podium guys. It would be interesting to have a live debate based on current knowledge and not links that some post from the partisan blog sites.

We'd have to give them their own room - They'd kill the chat for the rest of us.
Kind of like they did here. What do you know.

I like Loueloui's idea.........I'd rather pop into a chat room espically when it's a slow deal day....the lounge and podium bore me most of the time......
Chat room would be interesting.. Or we could just do the "group thing"
(I meant a group IM!!! :) ) What were you thinking?!?!

I'm sure they wouldn't mind too much if somebody took the initiative and setup an IRC chat. You'd just have to check with Mr. SD and make sure it was ok to use the name in naming the channel. I personally love IRC - so much to read, so much time to catch up on it in.

i HATE the lounge, by the time i get to that forum, each post has 50 replies, and I get bored after the first 5 or so. An IRC channel would be awesome. All it takes is for one of us to set it up. Anyone have a preferred network? I don't even know what's around anymore. I left EFNet years ago, and haven't been back on IRC since.
