Reason i ask was because i bought a sweater, but the sleeves were too long, asked to see if they could shorten it, but they said it wasn't included in the free basic alterations. br emails you coupons. the more you shop, the better coupons you get. but then again someone got a f&f coupon and he only shops twice a year. *shrugs*.

i have three emails for br. one linked to luxe and the other to the regular one that turned luxe. the third is just a non br card. dn't ask why i signed up so many times, i didn't realize. anyway, the luxe and regular get good coupons. though luxe usually gets the ones that say extra points and stuff. and usually the luxe one gets the emails first.

most of the time, the double or triple rewards points is only good for the luxe cardholders, though a few weeks back, they did have a double rewards points good for all card holders. card holders do seem to get the best coupons, not to mention, Luxe cardholders get free shipping and free basic alterations. This is particularly a good deal, since I bought a few pairs of pants from BR for $15 or so, and saving $10 or so to hem them up is quite nice!

This compared to no free alterations at Express, and free alterations on FULL PRICE items at J.Crew. I haven't purchased a full priced item at BR ever.

i walked in to my local BR B&M today looking for some dress pants. I was fortunate to find 3 pairs in the clearance section in my size (32x32). I found out that not only were they priced down but there was an additional 20% off PLUS I used my 30% off friends and family.

It did! i was gonna go again 2day on my way home. Thanks for th eheads up. I got a dress, 1 silk top, 1 regular t-shirt material type top and a skirt all for around 70. i thought it was a great deal considered how jacked up the prices are in that store.

ah ok, makes more sense now. either way, $50 is a good deal for it.

with regards to dress shirts, button down shirts are more casual than say spread or point, so maybe that's why they're cheaper. what i mean is i wouldn't wear a button down shirt with a suit, though i do have some button downs that i wear for business casual. with that said, i don't remember BR selling button down shirts for men. i haven't seen any women's button down shirts either, but then again, i didn't look very closely.

Cost wise, i wouldn't be surprised if the shirts cost maybe $5-10 to make. Labor is well under a dollar, materials, depending on the shirt, but prob not more than a few bucks for the regular shirts. Monogram shirts that use Thomas Mason or something like that would prob cost a little more. My guess would be most of the cost would be in the transportation, store rent, employees, etc.

imo, i think that for a skinny woman, that a slim peacoat would look nicer than a trench, perhaps in black.

That is what they used to do. Now the cashier has to enter the whole unique code in as well so u can only use it once, either online or in store. Atleast this is what happened to me with my reward certificate that i used last month.

yeah, that was changed some time ago, probably more than a year ago. but it depends on when you bought it...if you bought the item during the unlimited return period, then you should still be able to return it. all receipts in stores say 90 days, the invoice online, i don't believe says 90 days, so you may try to fight with them there, though the policy is stated on their website.

on another note, if you "lost" the receipt (but of course are returning within 90 days), then you can return the item in stores, and they will give you a gift card in the amount of the last selling price on a gift card.

i bought a leather bomber backet, was $450, marked down to $150, after coupons, paid $108. also bought a Monogram cable-knit wool zip sweater recently, was $275, marked down to $100, paid ~$65. and also recently got a tri-blend car coat, was $225, marked down to $100, paid ~72. got a Cotton banded-collar zip jacket, was $79, marked at $30, paid $27. yeah, those were part of the reason why i had no available credit. but goes to show, don't give up, the item may drop in price. on the other hand, if you really want it, don't wait too long as it may be gone.

oh, and i got a cashmere scarf. very soft and warm, but also seems delicate. not sure it's worth the original $130 price tag, at $30 or so, it wasn't bad pricewise, but i don't like the color.

you might have to go back and rebuy with the coupon. you can call the store to double check but they usually just have you rebuy it.

I asked a rep about this, and he told me that 36 blazers are only available online. same with anything Men's XS & 29 pants. i tried on a 38S in the regular line and monogram and noticed that the Monogram line is slimmer. keep in mind though that sometimes people return online stuff in stores, so there is a very slight possibility that a store may have a 36. you can call BR @ 1.888.277.8953 or 1.888.906.1345 (TDD hearing impaired) and ask them to do a stock check. Reason i say is because i saw a suit jacket size 48 in stores, it was a 2006 item, originally $325, marked down to $60.

here's a list of blazer sizes and their availability in stores/online. 36 is only offered in regular.

i'm probably not going to go to the store. the clearance rack didn't have anything i wanted, at least at the stores i went to over the weekend, and i doubt they're gonna re-stock clearance items until after the g&g promo. in the past, i haven't really found much, in fact, i seem to find better deals outside of the g&g promo.

In the past I get the coupon from the nice sales associates at my forest hills location, but the website always has such a biiger selection. Thanks!

i find it hard to find my size in the stores. i usually buy online. i don't get great prices that you do but i get pretty close :lol:


i have a similar problem too. i need dress shirts size XS for a good fit, and they don't have that in stores. sometimes, i'll go with S just for some casual dress shirts, because that's all they have in stores. they don't offer suit/blazer jackets in 36 in stores either which is really the size i need. i got the Monogram 38 which is slightly slimmer, but still a little loose. i'm kinda torn because 38 is more comfy, but then 36 is really the "proper" fit for me, it just feels a little too tight. .
