Not all teams do, but the likelihood goes up if you send a hand-written letter to them. Make sure you explain how big of a fan you are and how much you hate that they're so far away, etc. Good luck!

Just the ones on their websites, for the Devils, just scroll down to "contact us", and then I think I went with "Community Relations."

Anyway, I'll break this into a few separate categories between college, soccer, and baseball kids clubs. Some of these aren't exactly free, but they were worth the small processing fee or cost in my opinion, so I stuck them in anyway. For example, getting a quality hat, t-shirt, backpack, and so forth.

COLLEGE PROGRAMS

For most of these, you will find the link on their athletics department website, occasionally on the first page or else in the "fan" zone.

Yale University: Supposedly gives you a free t-shirt and some kitsch, but I didn't get mine...

Oregon State University (GenBeav Club): Free football / sports tickets, birthday card, newsletter

University of Montana: Free t-shirt

Northwestern University: Free t-shirt, membership card, other assorted knick-knacks, letter

University of Virginia: Free t-shirt, letter

Ohio University: Didn't get back to me, but perhaps worth a try ... ticket vouchers, newsletter, t-shirt

Cornell University (Big Red Club): Didn't get back to me, but perhaps worth a try ... two free season tickets for football and basketball, other sports, membership card

*** For many college kids clubs, they will charge between $15 and $25 and you will get ticket vouchers (for the kid, not the parent), a t-shirt, occasionally a hat, stickers, pencil, notebook, etc. Easiest way to search these out is simply by Googling your favorite team.
