I am in a leg cast (surgery last week ) and sitting here starting to go through slickdeals Contest forum. Is there a way that after I read or open a thread in the contest forum that the thread can either disappear for me or change color. I know that if I am in one session on slickdeals, it chanes to a lighter blue but if I log into slickdeals the next day and someone posts to it, it bolds again and goes to the top of the page in contests because of the new post. Sometimes I cannot remember if I entered that particular contest and if they moved or disappeared, I wouldn't have that problem.
You could always select ignore once you enter the contest.

I've never used the option, so I don't know exactly how it will work, but at the top of every thread page there is a 'Thread Tools' click that and you can choose 'Ignore this thread'.
Also, in your User CP there is a link to see ignored threads incase you ignore one on accident.

I just reply to the threads with a "Thanks" - then if I see the little pencil on the icon, I know I've entered that contest. Works great.

Just ignore the threads you don't want to see. Don't reply 'Thanks'. To ignore a thread, click on the grey circle to the left of the 'Thread Started' date.
random.

You can either go into the thread like this person suggested, or click the http://i.slickdeals.net/images/buttons/ignorethreadsmall.gif next to the title.

I know which thread I've read because the font becomes normal, as opposed to bold for the threads I haven't read.
Or you can go as far as ignoring the threads as others have suggested.

Don't you have to be bold to ignore threads?

I keep an alphabetized list of the contests I enter including the daily which are kept separate from the once only.

No. 0-49 reps = 100 ignorable threads.
50-99 = 200
100+ = 300
At least those were my observations from another thread in site issues and suggestions.
