Does anyone else have a problem with some members posting snippy comments when a person reposts something? Why do some people get so bent out of shape if someone reposts something that was old? Personally, if something was old and I didn't see it the first time around, I appreciate someone reposting it. I just think that the catty-ness is unnecessary. It's not like the person reposted on purpose. Basically, if you are going through a forum and you see something that you know was already posted, guess what???? You don't have to read it!! But just to post a comment under their submission that says, "This was already posted, but thanks anyway!!", that just seems so sarcastic and condescending! Plus, that is what we have the nice moderators for - so lets allow them to do their job. :)

This was already posted under post #...... Just Kidding. I agree totally. I know some people have nothing else to do in life but try to rip others down, but I wish they would saved that for their failed marriages.

Actually you can only have guest posts under the slickdeals thread so it's not that big of a deal.

Seriously, you guys are awesome... I've been annoyed all week and dreading looking through the forums because of the lightbulb/heart witch! I get so annoyed by it I want to punch my computer screen... but then I realize that I need it so I can find more free stuff & slick deals... I appreciate this threads ability to let me clear my head!!! Lots of LOVE to you all!!!

there are more positive people posting on this site than the negative ones.

I don't want to point out the obvious but the purpose of this board is to share information on deals, we could do without the rude comments that have been posteing lately. I'd rather have a deal posted twice than not posted at all and miss out.

I totally agree with Ambah (bah in Dutch means yuck, but that's besides the point). If you read something that you don't like, then just ignore it and move on to the next post. There is enough to read on this forum that you don't have to spend your time putting other people down.

Some people spend their time putting other people down, showing themselves up etc. rather than appreciating the fact that someone has spent a part of their time to post a deal that he/she thinks might be of help to somone.

But if it wasn't for some of the people posting, we would have no reason to come here everyday, would we ??

Maybe we *DO* need Nanci after all. I mean has anyone checked out the freebies section? The newbies are taking over. They are reposting things now that have been posted 3 or 4 times! Mods please help us. There should be a mandatory search that goes up everytime someone tries to post. (Like a spell check, only searching for the same post!!) Maybe this could help eliminate duplicates. And, why do newbies sign up and then flood the board with freebies? Shouldn't they sign up, browse the board a bit THEN slowly ease into posting? Maybe they should have to post some comments ONLY first before they have the privilege of starting new threads. Sorry had to vent.

i think differently, what if some noob joins, and start reading, he would not go back to check out the old stuff. so reposting it keeps it fresh. secondly, there ain't much of those freebies out there, most of them is posted already. just an opinion.

ambah aren't u sorta contradicting yourself? i mean u started this saying that its unnecessary for people to be rude about reposts, but then later u go on saying that reposts ARE annoying.. or something like that... that was just what i thought when i was reading so plz jus correct me if im wrong. what's the big deal about them anyway... and i mean so what if newbies do repost alotta things, we shouldn't forget that they're only doing it to help others.

Often, it's not what you say, but HOW you say it. :) This post was in reference to a particular person.

I don�t think that it�s contradictory to say �reposts are annoying� she might very well think that - but that doesn�t mean she�s going to flip out and go ballistic because she comes across one (aka get snippy)
