I got this today in store. I agree, most of the samples don't appeal to me. The quality of the hat box also isn't that great, but it's cute and reusable. After receiving this, I personally would not go out of my way to spend $35 just for the box, unless the samples are appealing to you! Just my two cents :)

All of the sephora in NYC is out of the Josie Maran 500 point perk. they said they had it for over 3 weeks with little interest and now it's all gone. i went to sephora about 2 weeks ago and only saw the korress and olesk....something...
so disappointing.
i got the benefit one but i tried the dandelion in store today and it's not good on me. the coralista is not that better than the blush i currently use. i was told that i couldn't return the benefit one. i haven't open the thing yet, still sealed and all.
if anyone who has the josie maran is interested in trading, let me know.

I'm a sucker for ordering online when there is a good incentive being offered because I usually have a list of things that I want and will usually wait to order when there is a great goody to go with it. I usually mail back my returns using their prepaid label rather than spend 30 min. driving to the store. I like most of the samples being offered in the hatbox but I haven't ordered yet because I know when they arrive I will just put them with all my other samples and never get around to using them. :shake:

Got this too with an in store purchase. I really liked the samples and actually prefer them to the ones that were in the email (I don't like lipgloss, I've tried the phyto finishing serum and wasn't impressed, and while I would've liked to try the brazilian peel, I can get way more uses out of the ddf). So I'm a pretty happy camper, plus I didn't have to do a $50 purchase to get free shipping. Also the hat box while not the greatest quality is very reusuable and the al of the samples were more that amply sized. I think the ddf was once offered as a 100 pt gift (as was the brazilian peel).

I had two substitutions in mine. Instead of the Benefit Stay don't stray, I received Benefit Ring my bella perfume and I also got the Phyto scalp elixir instead. Otherwise everything else was the same. I used the scalp elixir yesterday...omg the smell is still in my hair...

the code worked for me too (i picked up my hatbox on friday), but note that it seems only valid for ONE online order, even though it says ALL orders for the rest of the month. i tried to place another order and i got this error message - "Sorry, you have entered an promotion code that you have already redeemed on a previous order."

They are more moisturizing than the average lipstain. They actually apply a bit glossy (except the matte ones, which are creamy in a dry, almost chalky/velvety way but sinks into lips) and dry into a stain. They don't last through a meal/wiping but I have gotten good wear from them on nights out and in between meals. I just love the sheerness and how buildable the color is. The minty scent and gel texture is nice too. The glitter ones have micro-glitter/shimmer effect that kind of gets all over the place. I got a set of three from Ulta that was $32 so this is a way better deal. I think I like them so much because they are easily to apply and feel almost like nothing (a little goes a long way!).

They've never freely given samples to me, but I usually ask for some samples of items while I'm shopping. I'd rather choose my samples of items I've been wanting to try, rather than just get something random that I'm not interested in.

Also, if there is something in particular that you want to try they will usually make up a sample of it for you in little vials.

I don't think that you can just walk in and get the discount. I think you have to print out the email they send around to VIBs and Beauty Insiders.

Just be careful. Unfortunately, the first code I recieved had "already been used" by the time I tried to redeem it. I didn't have any issues with the second one I got using a different email address, but in the past there have been problems with people figuring out the codes and using them illegally. So if you get one, I would say use it as fast as you can to be safe.
You're allowed to get 5 codes from the same computer, according to the rules, so at least if you have multiple emails like most people, you should be able to place a few orders!

Sephora takes 1 to 2 days to ship and usually if I order on a Thursday they will get it out before the weekend. Last week I ordered on a Friday and the order sat in the warehouse until the next Tuesday when they finally shipped it out. They were swamped with orders due to the F&F but hopefully they will still get the orders out today. I didn't order until very late in the day so mine probably will get a weekend in the warehouse again.

They do subtract 100 points from your beauty bank after you select a perk but yes, you can choose to leave the points in your account and build up to either get the 500 point perk or just get a 100 point perk whenever you wish with an order.

I have no idea... but have you tried clearing your cookies? or maybe try using the website on a different browser?

My first order, that I placed Thurs night ended up shipping this morning! I imagine they are totally slammed with orders right now.
My order from yesterday is still being sent to the warehouse, but the difference in the order #s is gigantic. There are over 100,000,000 orders in between my first order on Thurs, and the one on Fri, if you take the difference in Order #s between the two. So I think A LOT of people ordered from them!

Ok, this has been driving me absolutely CRAZY for so long and I am hoping SOMEBODY here can help me!

The wishlist/shopping list. It only allows you 100 items. That's good and all, HOWEVER whenever I try to add to my list it tells me my list is FULL, yet there is only SIX items on my list!! Does this happen to anyone else? It's so frustrating! Why does this happen and is there any solution??

This happened to me before too, but less extreme. I could only get 80 items instead of 100. What happened to me is that items were discontinued before I removed them from my list and they were still being counted towards the 100 items even though you couldn't see them on the list. Bottom line, I called Sephora Customer Service and they were able to reset it, although it did take a few days. So give them a call and you should be able to get it fixed.

I totally agree! I am also surprised at what is selling out. In years past, the inexpensive things that were already deals before the 20% off would sell out quickly. But this year, the $5 Bliss No 'Zit' Sherlock Breakout-Busting Rubberizing Mask, $10 bareMinerals Trio of Mini Eyeliners, $12 Stila Lip Glaze Trio and $15 DDF Blemish Foaming Cleanser are all still in stock. It looks like to me that people are buying items that they can use everyday, such as skincare, but are still considured "splurge items" vs. purchasing trendy eyeshadow or other color cosmetics that aren't used everyday, even if they are a good value.

I think you're definitely right about that. I did that myself too. I splurged on some skincare things, like the Argan oil set. But it's definitely something I'll use everyday!

I want the Naked Palette,but I don't really Need it. Generally I end up using the same 3 eyeshadow colors [I have dupes of literally the same colors from about 10 companies that I bought w/o realizing conciously that they were all the same]. So while I totally WANT a palette, I know I won't use most of the colors in it, even in the Naked one. They're a terrible deal for me, even though they're fun to look at and pretend that I would use them all!

They have a 1oz sample of Purity if anyone missed out on the larger size. At least you can still try it! I thought it was weird, because the big announcement email about the full size samples just got to my inbox at 5pm today. They really should have a better system for that, because it happens constantly that the promo is totally sold out a whole day before their big email goes out telling everyone about it.

same here. From what I've heard on other forums, it's the REALLY large orders, like over 1k in merchandise that are having issues with being put on hold, or cancelled.
Some of the larger name beauty bloggers were having trouble because of that.

The other set comes with 2 different colors of foundation that are each the really small jars, at .06oz each. If you don't know what color you should get, I would suggest going in store to get colormatched if at all possible.

I tried to return it a couple of days ago but they told me EVERYTHING must be in the kit. I even have the box that it came in still just not the CD. I'm so very frustrated. :(

Then I went over the shipping manifest just to check, and they forgot to put in the 16 oz Amazing Grace that I ordered! It looks like the person just totally skipped it by accident on the list. Everything else is in there, including all the samples, so I'm sure it was just an honest mistake. But it's still kind of frustrating, since I REALLY hate calling places up. I wrote on their FB wall, so hopefully they message me tomorrow to get it taken care of. Check your orders carefully everyone and make double sure that your stuff is all in there! I think they got super overwhelmed with orders and people ordered so much stuff at once that it made it hard for them to be accurate. But it's still a bummer that they don't have like, two people check each box, as tedious as that would be, just to avoid mistakes like this.

I think a lot of companies are worthless when it comes to emails. I have good luck getting them to respond on Twitter, though.

No, because that's not the regular selling price. The only way they would take 20% off is if you used the gift card issued to re-buy with.
