New User Can't PM?

I have just recently registered and don't seem to have any options in the User CP about PM'ing or have the default inbox and sent items folders. Is there a limitation on new users as it relates to Private Messaging?

they've been disabled for new users thanks to many users who abused it. once you're a "seasoned" user you'll gain access. saying limits won't help anything.. so just stick around and continue to contribute. you'll eventually get them
