One of the biggest annoyances is when a newbie asks how to add a rep point.
Any chance it can be added as a button to the group with "Mod Alert", "Reply", etc.?

That's the way the software company sets it up. All of the Vbulletin site I see with rep points are set up the same way. It's not SD specific.

Maybe the first time they try to rep, they're taken to the manual/FAQs.

In an ideal world (with certain people) it would be nice to the FAQ to be read before posting. But we can't make it mandatory.

Forcing people read FAQ is draconic
I think that a page design that causes these questions to come up is simply a bad design - which is why I posted the suggestion.

Forcing people read FAQ is draconicNo it's not. It helps people learn more about the board.
If they post a question that's covered in a FAQ, what reaction will they get from most folks here? They'll be flamed mercilessly. That's not a very positive initial experience.
A small amount of pain up front saves a lot of pain later :)
For people that have suggestions for vBulletin, where should they be posted? I assume they have a forum somewhere.
