OMG, I am getting annoying emails and PM's on a Deal Alert I set up awhile back every single day, warning me that it's about to expire.

SD, I don't care if the frigging thing expires, just quit bugging me about it.

Instruct me how I can be permanently rid of what amounts to NAGWARE and, believe me, I will never set up another SD Alert again!

Is your server on crack? Who advised SD that I ever want to be contacted through the SD alert system for any reason other than that a deal is being discussed?

It never dawned on SD that I may not want to be excessively contacted by the site? You don't think I'm mature and intelligent enough to program a new alert if I want to? You have to beat me over the head with it, not only in my mailbox but with a Daily PM Nag?

How do I turn the frigging thing off?

If you remove the deal alert (http://forums.slickdeals.net/dealalerts.php?do=viewdealalerts) (check box, choose delete from drop down, hit go) or change the expiration (check box, hit go) on it, it should stop harassing you.

:iagree: It says that in the Deal Alert itself too :). Sorry if it bugged you.

Wow. Talk about a feature in bad need of an overhaul, this has got to be it. Either you babysit your Deal Alerts . . . or suffer to be engaged with them some other way?

The Deal Alert Bot needs to get a life for crying out loud lol.

Get a date with List Subscriptions. A Buddy. An avatar for chrissake. :lmao:

As the French would say . . . Ees Crahzee!

The deal alerts have an expiration because some people will set them up and never remove them. So if you are not going to read the deal alerts, we're going to purge them because sending emails to the abyss uses needless resources. The nagging (once a day) starts when it goes into a 7 day grace period after the expiration date. All it takes is a few clicks to renew them and confirm that you still want it.
