What do people think about a possible computer game forum? This way you can meet other people who play the same game and possibly schedule online matches. It can also be used to give out tips/cheats.

I like it!
People could anounce games they are setting up, give out passwords to the server, etc. It would lessen cheating and other BS that online games suffer from.
Good idea Rayzac!!
I am going to have to figure out xbconnect now.

don't see why it would need another forum, just start threads in the lounge. if it became a lot then we can make another forum. with gta we are talking about it in a single thread.

then the game threads wouldn't disappear so fast though.. the lounge is so fast paced

then might i suggest you use the search feature and bump up the old thread? did that fine with a couple game threads i was invlovled with and it worked fine.

well obviously searching works, but for example: why separate the freebies section AND the free mag section? to make it easier to find what you want AND so there is a section on mags where people can talk about nothing but free mags. After all, both forums are just talking about free stuff.. why not just do a search in the freebies section for that mag you wanted?
organization IMHO.

It comes down to whether or not it'd be worth it. Most of us are here to either post/get deals or BS in the Lounge. I'm just not seeing a huge following for a game section. Maybe a sticky in the Lounge?

because at the time there were tons of free mags. its slowed down considerably lately. look at the product reviews section. its a great idea, but without many people using it, its pretty pointless. if you guys start tons of threads that are active in the lounge, we'll defintely consider it. but as it stands now, there isn't that great a demand for gaming threads that it deserves its own forum.

Well if number of threads started is the deciding factor, I am guessing we will see a free SOYO MOBO forum by tomorrow. :lmao:

It'd go down in flames.
Literally. :D

I thought you were talking about the Arcade (http://slickdeals.net/forums/arcade.php?).
BTW, how come there is no link to it from the "Forums" page (http://slickdeals.net/forums/index.php?)?

Use the "Quick Links" on the blue menu bar.

Yeah.... Apparently, that is the only way. It's not in the Forum Jump thing, and it's not listed in the Forums.

It is in the lounge as a sticky and the guide to the lounge. Other than that, I do not think it is listed elsewhere.
