...If not, CC will soon realize that everyone is using the same code nationwide and discontinue the code. If you do use the code, I wouldn't sign my name on anything or give them my address, b/c they could go back and charge you full price since you're using the code under false pretense.

Ok here is my story (Big Thanks to Tweak)

I made a couple of print-outs of the coupon and cut them out.

Went to one CC that had RE4 in stock, gave him the coupon, got the $20 discount. dancing

Got greedy and asked if I could use it again on another game and he said ok lets try BUT it came up invalid the second time. So I left.

Went to another CC got Sim City DS, gave the girl the same coupon and it worked again! dancing

Asked her if we could try another time on one more game, and she tried but once again it didn't work a second time.

So bottom line is the code on the coupon we have is all the same (meant for one customer) and can probably only be used once per CC store. After that the next person (trying to use the same exact code) is %^&* out of luck. happy

People are just takign in the number and telling the associate there they want to use the discount. The associate inputs the number and it works. And no where in the coupon does it say Employees only.

On the email it says for employees...didn't read that. But on the actual coupon it doesn't say anything about it. And I do wish I was retarded. They get to do some kickass stuff.

Recently quit from Circuit City. Some coupons work over and over, especially the gift card ones. But this one, once redeemed, it should be done.

My best bet would be to look for the associate who's cool and laid back. If he's nice enough and the coupon doesn't work the manager will adjust the price for you. I've done it for some customers, depends how nice they are haha. Anyway, one sure bet would be to ACCEPT THE PROTECTION PLAN! It's only $2 for a game and if the manager sees that you accepted that, why would he hurt his Circuit City Advantage Numbers(CCA)??? If I see someone is purchasing CA, price adjustment NO PROBLEM haha~! Maybe anyway, it's only $2. However if you were buying a TV :)

Just came back from CC. Bought the Nyko Charge Station for Wii remotes for $9.99

I made sure to get checked out by the manager who was at a register. He said "A bunch of these have been showing up lately. Where did you get this?"

I made up some intricate story so then he said "Well some of them scan, others don't. If the system accepts it I'll use it." It worked. He even told me I should keep it for the future.

the lady i dealt with tried the code on a 2nd game to see if it would honor the discount again. it came up with a error like it didn't want to take. but on her screen it gave the $20 discount which came to -$40.00. she was going to do it but she had to call to get verification so she wouldnt get in trouble, but they didnt let her. but i got more CC's around.

I got it to work at a local store for me yesterday (tried two, one did't take it). But I had to use it alone, so I got one game for $10 (reg $30) and then I also used Toys-r-us buy 2 get 1 free price match and got all 4 games for about $87 ( $35, $35, and a $30 game for free). Then I am going to use my entertainment book 10% rebate thing the have off any purchase and I should get $7.50 back from that. (I don't buy from CC much). So I should get 4 games for $80 all said and done, reg $130.

Just used it at my local Circuit City to pick-up XBox 360Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 for $29.99 ($49.99 - $20.00 Coupon). The cashier input the code below the bar code and it was denied. She asked if I had already used this coupon and I told her that I had not. She swiped her badge and adjusted the XBox 360 game price down by $20.00 and noted in the comment section "$20.00 coupon".

I resized (downsized) the JPEG image of the coupon prior to printing and then tore off the top half of the print-out. I left the last paragraph that begins with, "To show our appreciation . . ." I didn't want to just cut out the coupon in case I was questioned on it. I wanted to be able to refer the the last sentence in that last paragraph: "Print this email and take it to your local Circuit City store to redeem your coupon".

In case people have not figured this out yet, you can only use this coupon once per store, so if u live in the same area as someone who has already used the coupon it will say coupon has already been used. this is because all the barcodes/ numbers are the same on all the coupons. unless there are multiple coupons floating around on this board with different barcodes u are going to get denied.

This is only a theory and im interested in finding out whether anybody has had any luck using the coupon twice at the same CC, in the same day or on different days.

I had asked a couple BB employees and they said that they didn't match coupons. But I went to customer service and he said that he could. I agree with the above poster. It would really help you guys out if people would read the thread and then go for the deal (or at least skim it). The whole "redeemed" thing has been talked about in-depth.

Woo, I'm gonna rep you just for injecting some common sense. When I went, the flunkie at the register (predictably) had no clue what to do with the coupon. I walked over to customer service, they called a manager, and he did it no problem - even apologized for the wait.

That's basically the gist of it. Some people find it more worthwhile to work an extra hour on the job or so rather than deal with (sometimes) cranky managers and other frustrating customer service people.

coupon didn't work for me. said it was already used, and that it looks like a photo copy so there not going to take it. Then they asked if i worked at a CC and i said Yes, then they asked me what department and ID number. I just walked out. To bad it didn't work.

Worked for me for Wii controller , too bad RE4 in OOS.

First time I got a Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 and the second time I got Dawn of War: Dark Crusade for $9.99...both times the coupon showed as redeemed and I told them I'd just received it, my nephew had signed us up for "City Games". I had no problem with getting an override.

LiteSalt, i HAVE READ THE THREAD even before signing up and posting! I'm just concerned about the store number. I would look real dumb claiming I'm a new employee, giving the number of some CC in California while I live in the East Coast! All I was doing was looking for advice! :(
