I like to get the samples of different dog foods and then use them as a treat for my puppy. That way her treats are good for her. Since it's different from the food she eats regularly, she thinks it's a treat but it's giving her nutrition just like her regular food. It also makes training cheaper since I don't have to buy so many treats while we're working on a new trick!

I buy Greenies all the time for my dogs, they come in different sizes depending on the size of your dog. I have 2 dogs (one is about 15lbs, the other is about 70lbs) and they love these things!! They've never choked on them or had any problems digesting them.

I work at Petco and have seen and heard a ridiculous amount of feedback on this topic, the answer is simple... The only reason any dog ever choked on greenies is because somebody bought a size too large for their dog and did not monitor them when they tried the first one. Buy the right size and make sure the dog does not try to swallow the treat whole (like any other treat you give it) and it will love greenies.

FYI, I just took my dog to the vet last week. The vet says these things are really bad for your dog, they can cause intestinal blockages. He's seen quite a few pups because of these things and highly recommends not feeding these to your pets.

Anyone know anything about how these work for Airedale Terriers? My husband and I are getting one in about a month, and I asked our breeder about Greenies, and she said that since Airedales have strong jaws and can break off pieces of them, she didn't recommend them. I thought the point was for them to do that. I thought it was like a treat. Anyone know anything about this? I have been communicating a lot with the breeder through e-mail and sometimes I think she doesn't get me. Thanks!

Slightly off topic but
my kitten has hated every treat I have ever given her and when I got the free samples for kitten she went nuts for them. I really like when I find a sample that I end up using.

I actually wrote them an email thanking them for offering samples just because I would have never known about them and my kitten wouldn't have any treats. She plays fetch and actually comes and sits so she gets treats for her "dog-like tricks"

Maybe they are tracking through the requests from the old site NightVessel? I always use disposable e-mail that changes every month so I can track things better.
