I run windows 2000 with a black background and white text. I set firefox to use the system colors, so the default blue link and browsed magenta link colors are used. Background images are also not displayed so the background is black.

The first thing I do in the morning is refresh the latest deals on the front page. I did this and they all turned to magenta. This has happened in the past when I accidentally opened up a header link to a new window to look at the deal. The header links become browsed and I have to delete the "slickdeals.net/#" link from my history to return them to blue. I deleted the slickdeals.com entries from yesterdays history and it did not fix it.

After looking at the page code I see the deal headers no longer contain a href="#" in the code. Now it is just href="", which makes the link "slickdeals.net/". Of course that is always in the browsed history and causes all my headers to be magenta. Hopefully changing this back to the way it was isn't a big deal, but I don't know if there was a reason for the change or not.

I also noticed the category labels and the thumb ratings are blank in the forum listings. I have noticed the same thing on some other sites like webshots and the images are simply "blank.gif" in my browser. I usually go and use microsoft explorer to browse these sites. Is there an advantage to the code being changed to display the icons differently now?

Other changes to the site I have been able to go with. These changes seemed unnecessary and I wanted to post this before rushing off to work in case others have noticed the same or similar problems with the website.

Awesome, my links are blue again! :bounce:

Now the code contains a fix with functionality! - href="/?nojs=1"
- On second thought, I think that is what it used to be... oh well, its good to have it back.

In a perfect world, I will soon see all of the icon images instead of the blank.gif space holders. ;)

We decided to define the icons via CSS so with CSS styles disabled, there's not much we can do on our end. If you have the stylish extension for Firefox, you can add the icons via that.
