How can I get a list of all members sorted by reputation points? Or really just the top 10 or top 100 or something like that.
I tried the advanced search by member screen, and that didn't work.
Member List: Search Members: Advanced Search: Order Results By: Reputation: In Decending Order
OK folks. Enough with the stupid rep points. Who the hell cares how many points anyone has?
Any time I see someone beg for rep points, I rate the thread down...

So quit your bellyaching and turn 'em off. Otherwise you just look jealous.

You gotta want something to be jealous. And what do I care how I look to anyone else?
Turn them off? Is there a way to turn off posts where people are begging for rep points? Please tell us, we're waiting for that tip...
The one and only solution is just to get rid of them. I too am very sick of seeing people begging on there knee's like little kids asking for them. Im 10 times more likly to give someone a rep. point for not asking for one...

:offtopic: This is not about whether or not we need rep points. That topic has been beaten to death. Do a search.
Back to the subject at hand, why doesn't the search function work correctly when you sort by rep points?

id like to see this feature implemented
itd be pretty cool for those of us who care
ive always wondered who is first and last and everywhere in between.
for those of you who dont care, YOU WOULDNT HAVE TO USE IT
That will just incourage more asking, begging of points.

I really hope this doesn't get fixed. It would be worse than member list sorted by posts is for PWing.

Some other important sorts for the membership list:
Number of free Ipod solicitations posted.
Measurements of various body parts (category depends on posters' sex).
Time of day of posting.
Member since...
Age
# of times flamed others

Funny how all these people who "don't care" about rep points: have low rep points
have their rep points turned on
post in all these threads about rep points

I like rep points... I like giving them (and getting them)

Ditto.
Rep points are a good feature because Slickdeals is a website with a primary impetus on locating & posting deals. That's the lifeblood of the site - without the deals, the site, and all of the pleasant features and other forums would not exist.
Having rep points isn't about bragging or showing off, but an acknowledgment that one is doing their level best to make a contribution to the site.
I've saved so much money scoring deals that I spotted here, I don't know where to start.
I could pay retail for what I buy, but why should I? Scoring deals is an addictive & rewarding game.
M.S.R.P. IS FOR SUCKERS!!!

How is asking for a rep after an awesome deal you post such a bad thing? You are trying to get somthing (a rep) for an awesome deal. Sure if its for nothing then dont ask, but if someone is like thanks i bought 3 because of your post... why shouldnt you ask for a rep, seriously

If you do a good job, people will give them, if you don't, they won't. Who cares if you miss out on a few. Tacking a sentence "if you find this post helpful, give me a rep" onto every post seems trite and adds to the general "noise" level of posts. Do we really need that external affirmation so desperately?

He meant you can turn your own off. And since you have yours on, it looks like u want to show off but can't cuz yours isnt high, is what he meant I think.
Whatever either way, but if you go into your personal settings, there is a check to "show rep points". Just uncheck.
