How are the levels decided?
L1:
L2:
L3:
etc...
Is it by rep points, number of posts... What? Is there guidelines anywhere?
Who gets to be moderators and all that?
PLEASE PM ME IF YOU KNOW

The levels go up by how many posts you have under your belt. I think L2 is 50 posts, and L3 is 100 posts...L4 is probably 200 posts and so on. I don't remember the level changes off the top of my head. If you don't want to go by levels you can change that "custom user title" to say whatever you'd like, you can do that by going into your User Control Panel and changing it.

Generally, one is asked to be a moderator based on their behavior on a forum. I would assume that this is the case on the SlickDeals.net forums as well.

What do rep points do for you? Why do people want them so bad?

This topic isn't even about rep points. But I agree, they are pretty worthless.
