A search here led me to think it might be from the 6-month Chevy offer, but since my sub is only apparently 4 issues, I don't think it's that. Any ideas?

Also, NYLON -- but in my inbox instead of my mailbox. That was odd.

BTW..all the duplicate issues are taken to the local library, a women's shelter and now to Ronald McD house. R McD were more than happy to receive all the mags we get in, and set the mags out for parents and siblings who have loved ones in the hospital etc..

Mercury and FreeBizMag occasionally (yearly?) offer a year of Elle. Last winter, both sites posted offers for Elle, which I was able to combine into a two-year subcription.

Mercury and StartSampling sometimes (every few months?) offer half-years of Cosmo.

The offers have to be current, though. I once found an old webpage for Mercury's Elle offer, but even though it let me sign up, I never got anything in the mail.

So keep your eyes tuned to this forum. Or opt-in to to these website's mailing lists (you can set it to where you only get notified of new free magazine offers).

If you can't wait, ebay and amazon are good sources for discounted (less than $10/yr) subscriptions. Just be sure to check the seller rating.

Hallmark Mag has gone out of print. They are sending Midwest Living instead (at least to me, maybe it's a regional thing).

MAD. This had two mailing labels on it, one over the other. The top label has my subscription expiring on Jan 2011. Peel that off, and the bottom has me up until Oct 2017. I wonder if this has to do with the magazine's decrease in frequency, from monthly to quarterly.
