In one of the most important threads on Slickdeals, I am not getting notification emails. I have to keep going back to check it. Is there an issue with the notification emails?

under thread tools you can subscribe to a thread. it should email you every time there is a new post.

which email account you having them sent too? hotmail, gmail, etc? Also, is it recent or been happening awhile?

I'm using a Yahoo account. It's been happening quite a bit lately. It was just on and off before. Now, I go to a thread I created and there will be 5 replies but no emails to me.

I'm still not getting my notification emails. Anyone else having this problem? I've gotten 2 PMs that I didn't know about until I came to SD. I am also am missing posts in threads I am subscribed to. What's happening to my emails? Anyone?

I subscribed to this thread and I just received my "instant" email notification. They are sent out once every night. Are you checking your bulk/junk folder? Free email providers tend to dump everything in there.

Yeah, I've checked the bulk folder. I have the slickdeals domain set to always go to the inbox. I got a notification for arjunsr's post. But, not yours. It's a sporadic thing. Some threads I will get all the notifications. Then, some threads I don't get any at all.

I subscribed to a bunch of threads and have gotten email notifications. It doesn't send an email for every reply so I'm not sure how the forum software determines whether to send one or not. I'll browse around the bug tracker and see if there's a fix.

As for the posting problems, I believe it is a server "out of memory" issue. Hopefully it'll go away when the server is upgraded.

Thanks for checking on it. I know it won't always send a notification for every reply. But, once in a while it will not send any at all. Then, for another thread, it will send a notification for every single reply. It seems to be at it's worst on threads that I started. Thanks.
