View Full Version : Why no feedback when a seemingly OK new thread gets deleted?

I've had a couple or more new deals that I posted since I joined SD that apparently got deleted. I'm not sure why, but it would be nice to know so I don't make the same mistake twice or whatever. I can understand NOT doing this for threads that blatantly go against the rules, etc, but how about a simple little PM when this happens?

You can PM any mod and they will take a look and see why it was deleted and report back to you. Knowing the thread title would be helpful for them.

Was this about the coffee post?
I had it emailed to me by a friend and was going crazy looking for it to say thank you for the heads up.

Due to the large volume of removed, moved & merged posts, the moderators do not PM people about why a post was altered. If the post violated the rules, you will be notified. Other wise, you need to PM a Moderator in the section where it was posted.

Yeah the coffee post was one of them. Thanks...glad you enjoyed it.
So, since I wasn't notified, I assume it didn't violate the rules. Therefore, why delete it?

Probably a repost, or put in the wrong thread. Example: Walmart sample posted individually might get merged into the big walmart sample thread. It doesn't always happen, but if someone mod alerts your thread it will.
