View Full Version : My only complaint about this big board:

My only complaint is that I don't feel like enough people keep in touch. I know it's a VERY large board, with many members, and most the time the people posting in "Help me find a Deal" section are new members, signing up just to post requests, but that's why I think these people should start thanking us regulars a little more often. I'm curious to see how many people I can help, that's what motivates us to look for the best deal for you, helping people. So I'd just like to see more people follow up and say "thanks, your link helped get what I needed" or "I decided not to buy it" even, just to hear feedback. Thanks for listening,

I agree with thanking the originator for posting a deal that you took advantage of, but not with the whole "thanks, but I didn't go for it".

Personally, if I go for a deal that's posted, I thank the person who posted it. If I don't go for it, I won't clutter up a thread with telling you I'm not interested in it; I just won't post.

i agree when you post something its nice seeing someone else uses it. its wrong when views are way more than posts unless the headline is misleading.

I think that a thank you can be inferred. A thread full of "thank you" replies would piss off the moderators at every other board that I use.

But a simple "thanks, it worked great" is a helpful way to let others know that the link and offer works as "advertised"... at least for a post or two. Let's not get carried away.
