My parents (68 & 65) are looking at buying a 2008 CR-V LX 2wd with tow package and security alarm system added. They will be paying cash.

What is a good price? They are in no hurry so should they wait until the end of the year for incentives?

With the way that the CRV has been selling since it (redesigned model) came out (#1 Selling SUV in its class in the USA) Honda really has no reason to offer any incentives, and so far...after almost 2 model years...they havent offered any...so I think now is as good of a time as any to purchase...

Price wise....tell them to try to go for 1 to 1.5K under MSRP with those things installed and work from there....thats about as much as I have seen in the way of discounts on them.

Sorry for the delay...had a meeting I had to go to...

Looks like some pretty legit numbers to me...however usually there is a Diffference of 500-650.00 between a Manual or Auto...not just 260.00.........

Maybe for your area....

I have one on my lot with right at 89k miles...ex 2001 accord...and we are selling it for 8500.00 so that pretty close...

This is true....considering the 08's have incentives and the 09's have none....

Until the Supply of 08's goes down....the 09's wont be budging.....otherwise the 08's would be hard to move...

The bright side of things is that Honda is making up for the lack of sales in the Truck lines with the Gigantic Increase in the sales of the Car lines....and trust me when I say we have NEVER seen such a shift or anything like it...

Well that was the problem with the 2 dealers I went to, they only had a floor model of the 08's left, and a handful of 09s coming in.

Does Honda do anything special around the 4th of July, based on previous years? I still wouldn't mind an 09 Pilot, but not at MSRP pricing. Also looking at 08 Nissan Pathfinders, just having trouble finding what I want in the area.

I dont think much is going to change...until after the 4th...

Thats when most of the Specials end...

On the 09, they are starting to drop a little...so keep looking!

Hello again to everyone!

June is shaping up to be another great month here...and I wanted to update everyone with what is currently going on as well as things to keep in mind about certain vehicles you may be interested in.

For starters....lets talk about Fit's / Civic's and Civic Hybrids:

These are getting to the point where being able to purchase one in a Specific Color and Trim comes down to wether or not you have a deposit one one you want.

Overall supply is no where near the demand, and if you are looking to get one in the next few months, put a deposit on one that matches what you want so that you get first dibbs so to speak once it arrives.

(For example, Deposits here are 250.00 and are fully refundable and transferrable...so use that as a benchmark!)

For the 2008 Accords....we still have many of them in different colors and Trim Levels....but considering the fact many people are purchasing them INSTEAD of one the Civic / Fit / Civic Hybrid's...inventory is slowly getting less and less on them as well.

We have some pretty awesome things going on in the way of discounts on the 08 Accord...so let me know if you want specifics for Pricing and availability on one to use in your search.

For the Truck Lines - 2008 Ridgelines / CRV's / Odyssey's / Element's and 2008 / 2009 Pilots:

I really cant stress it enough how good of a time to get one of these is right now...as Im sure anyone can imagine.

With Incentives combined with Special APR Rates, there is only so good a Situation can get.....and right now it has to be one of the better Situations I have seen....so same here when it come to info...just email me or post here!

A lot of what is going on right now will be ending soon....so dont wait too long, and let me know how I can help in any form or fasion, and I will look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, sorry if some of my questions have already been answered.

I am looking to buy a certified used s2000.

Is the price negotiable? What can I use as a starting point? KBB private party value?

I am going to finance. Would I get a better deal to finance through the dealer? or get financing before hand and approach the dealer as a cash buyer?

What's the best rate Honda offer on certified used?

Thanks.

Well...

To answer in order...
1. Sure...depending on what dealership you are working with or person you are buying it from.

2. That depends on the car and your credit and who you are buying it from...as well as what specials may be going on.

3. For any Certified Used specials going on for your area...visit the honda website and type in your ZIP Code.

If you need help on buying a New Honda or any Used Vehicle...Let me know.

Ill take a look at what you are being offered (Or told anyway) and make sure everything is on the up and up...and help you verify that it actually is a Good "Deal"!

I have access to Vehicle Availability Nationwide (For Honda's) and am pretty well versed in the Finance / Leaseing side of things....plus I usually know well ahead of time (a week or so) when new Rates are coming up as well as time frames for New model releases.

So if you need help locating a Certain Vehicle or advice on whether the price you are quoted is legit....let me know!

Chris,

Been reading the threads for the last hour. You seem very helpful.
I been doing research to get the best deal on an 08 civic lx coupe.
1) Does it benefit me to wait for last week of this month to apply for internet quotes?
2) Does honda dealerships have July 4th sales. (New Orleans & Houston)
3) Been thinking of also getting internet quotes in Houston area to get the color i want ( Royal Blue Pearl) to extend my chances of getting a good deal. Since your from Houston, can you let me know what kind of deals i can get over there.(im from N.O.)

Hope I am not asking too much, but i can really benefit from your reply

Thanks in advance

So you never considered the Accord????

Congrats on you purchase, but I wish I could have known you were shopping Camry and I could have given you REAMS of info of why its ranked 4th behind the Accord / Malibu / Altima....

As long as you are happy that is all that matters though!

Thanks back at ya!
To answer in order:
1. No especially not on the civic...be happy your dealership has any.
2. The same thing going on for the fourth is what is going on right now....but dont expect much in discounts on the civic.
3. Im actually in San Antionio....but we consider Houston Competition...and I have had TONS of people heading this way to buy just because of the amount OVER MSRP many dealers there are charging for Civic's...

Best thing you could do is email me what you specifcally want and we can take it from there!

Altima/Malibu>low resale value
i really considered an accord but the lowest OTD price was ~$800+ than a camry
not so quiet interior (comp. to a camry) + 6 cylinders==> less mpg
btw..i do hav an accord

I'm debating picking up a Fit now or waiting for the new model in the fall, any word on fuel economy from the new model?

Current used Fit prices are driving me nuts, I want to get a white one but it's almost cheaper to get it brand new and get a different color...

One more question Chris, is the Costco Buying Program a good deal on a new Fit? I know most dealers won't budge, this is one of the few times this program seems decent.

Good deal? Bad deal?

Honda EXL 2005 with 53K miles. dark blue, dvd, possibly navi on it. Will verify when we test drive this afternoon.

NOT being sold by a honda dealer, rather a Hummer dealer. This si why I think it is lower, they screwed someone on the trade in. Thoughts?

The problem with the "costco" program is that they really dont do anything...you have to find a dealer willing to be a "Costco" dealer....and even then the dealer doesnt HAVE to do what costco says they will...especially on a vehicle like the Fit that almost no one has any of for any length of time. Plus I have had customers who used the Costco program to buy from another dealership (we dont play the Costco game...mainly because of the kickbacks that go to them) and they could have bought from me for sometimes 1k or more less....so its all relative to the vehicle and dealership.

White Fits came out for the 07 MY and thats it...so as long as it has really low miles and is Certified used...I wouldnt say close to a New car price is that bad of a deal...considering the longer warranty coverage that the Certified Used will have over the New....depending on Milage etc...

If I was in the market for a Fit...and didnt have to buy RIGHT NOW...Id put a deposit on an 09 Sport with Navi...It will be still well priced and an overall better vehicle with more HP and equal MPG
(keep in mind the bodystyle we have...the 07 and 08 YM.... is 6 years old in Europe and Japan)
And the New one is only one year old there...

19,922 is a HORRIBLE price...so I hope I got this to you before you went and bought.

I had a Certified EXLV6 used 06 with 28k Miles with NAV and was sold at 21.5k Drive Out 2 weeks ago....

Thanks for the feedback...

I don't HAVE to purchase a car now, it is going to be a third car for the wife and I, we don't drive much and my S2000 gets decent enough MPG...

The Costco program I understand has it's issues, but on a vehicle like the Fit that almost needs to be ordered, isn't it the only way to get below MSRP? Are dealers actually dropping prices on any of these cars?

I do like the look of the 09's interior better, any word on the price of the Navi?

I think i'll keep looking, see what the official mileage is from Honda when the EPA releases it. I'm hoping for some slightly better gearing and with the addition of I-VTEC it might get better mileage than the 07/08...

When ordering an 09 now, are you guys selling at MSRP?

We sell at MSRP or below.

The costco program cant Guarantee a Below MSRP price....and the fit Dest. Charge costs more than the profit margin....so I doubt you will get one at a Sub-MSRP Price....but anything Under MSRP is a great deal...so see what you can do there.

I recently bought a 2000 Accord LX with just under 100,000 miles in really good condition for $8000... was that a good deal?

Just chiming in ... I have an '01 Accord LX; got it 18 months ago with about 40,000 miles on it for about $10,000 (original owner's dog put a few chompy marks on the back interior door panels). It's in top-notch condition otherwise. (So I hope it was a good deal!) I expect to drive it for at least another 5 years, probably longer (had my last car 14 years) and then look for a used hybrid Accord. I like the previous-generation body shape a lot better than the newer (2009?) shape, which is too much like the big-butt Altima to me.

Very happy with my Honda! :D

And on the 2008 Accord redesign....it is deffinately one of those "like it or not" type cars....I however love mine for the fact it is so much larger as well as many other reasons.

Chris great job in this Thread.

I am looking for an Accord EX V6 (No Leather)

I am in the Pittsburgh Area (Not a Blue one to be found)
So I am going with Polished Metal Metallic.

My best Price is $24,895 with Wing Spoiler and free splash guards.

Will be getting .9 for 3 years also.

I am selling my car instead of the rip off trade in.

Let me know what you think of the deal?

Or will prices be better after July 4th?

I am assuming I have the tax, and the transfer fees which should be it.

So no insight on what July may bring?

I had a 2006 odyssey EX-L and traded it in for a 2008 odyssey EX-L recently. Without looking at the specific mileage for the new vehicle (which I should have) the salesperson assured me that the gas mileage was the same from 2006 to the 2008 models. He was definately wrong. The 2008 gets 3 miles less per gallon. That comes to 63 miles less per tank, average.

I would have thought that the newer vehicle would get better mileage. The 2008 even has less horsepower.

Is there anything I can do? Does anyone know why the new model gets that much less miles per tank?

For starters, a new engine will not start getting peak MPG for at least 5-8k Miles....I know my 08 Accord didnt start getting the Good MPG's until after my first oil change....so depending on how new it is, you may just not be to that point yet.

It will get as good or better MPG's than what the 06 did...plenty people out there who have them and will tell you the same.

A great place to determine if a price offered for a new vehicle is edmunds.com
They have a forum where people write in what they got/offered with vehicle specs. and location and people give their opinions and a GREAT way to find out if you are getting a fair deal or can do better.

It is model specific so no need to wade through tons of irrelevant posts.
Also articles on how to get the best deal...negotiate...and what incentives the dealers are offering
http://www.carspace.com/csGroups

My apologies if this has already been posted. I could not read through the entire posts.

Hi Chris,
We are in the midst of looking for a Honda Odyssey, baby #3 arriving in 8weeks and we need a car that can take us all and be relatively good on gas...hence the decision to buy the Odyssey. We have been test driving the 2008s as it is hard to find a used Odyssey. We were hoping to find a used 06 or 07 for around the $20K mark, but not sure if that is likely. We live in Canada and have decided to go to the US to buy - market in Canada is about $15-$20K above the USprices. What is a reasonable price to expect to pay for a 06 or 07 we are hoping to get the touring as we want the leather, automatic doors, 3 seats in the 2nd row and the RES are the main points for us.
We are also contemplating getting a new one....what would be really good price to get a new 08 for in Touring or EX-L? Do you know of any dealers that sell to Canadians?? We live on Vancouver Island - close to WA but so far, not many dealers on the border cater to Canadians...not sure why.....
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Chris,

I am looking to by a used civic or accord in oregon in the upcoming months

What kind of prices do you think I would be looking at in terms of year/millage/model

I dont think I want to spend more then $11,000 and I will not require any financing

You can probably find an 02 through 05 depending on milage and trim level....

Try using Cars.com / Google Honda Certified Used Cars / Autotrader to locate cars in your area and price range.

hi chris, i was just wondering how much commission does a sale make average when selling a 30k car. i want to buy a honda pilot here in Florida and thinking about how much will the sale man get out of it. not the dealer commission. maybe this is too personal of the question. can you give me the ball park number?($100, $200) ??? thanks

Cant really answer this one for you....I work in a "One Price" dealership that pays on volume, not on Gross......so I get paid on the amount of cars I sell...not on how much I made from the person who bought it.

Thats the great thing about working here....doesnt matter to me how much or little you spend, I get paid the same either way....so I can focus on custoemrs getting the best deal possible instead of wondering how much Im going to make!

Some might think from an Employees side of things we wouldnt get paid too much....but even the most average sales person where I work makes 50k/yr ......

Hello!

For starters, the Touring only seats 7...not 8....so you can disregard the Touring model if you want an 8 passenger Van.

Go for the EXL ....and try to find an 05 or newer...(the 05 is when the body style changed...not 06) and I would think one with around 45-60k Miles Certified Used would hit right where you want to be in Price.

Try using the Google Honda Certified Used Cars Search or Autotrader.com or Cars.com for specifics in your area.

Here is a good link for you ....just type in a ZIP Code close to you and search 05 to 08 Odysseys....

Chris,
I'm looking at 2003-2004 Civic SIs with the hatchback style... what's going rates for those on the East Coast? I saw about 10k for a 2003 SI, and as I understand, there weren't many available options on those model years (just side air bags?)
What's the usual mileage on a car like that, and are there any faults/flaws that I should check for?
Also, what did they change between 2003 and 2004? Was it just the styling?
Thanks!

The EP3 Si's are actually a Very popular little car....but not until AFTER they stopped making them....lol

You can do a lot to them to get a lot out of them....and they are basically bulletproof when it comes to the motor.

I had one a while back that I swapped an Integra motor into.....was a very fun little car.

I would think depending on milage and condition...you should shop for anywhere from 10k to 13k...and there really wasnt much different between those 2 year models.

HI, Chris

I am in Cleveland and now looking for a 2008 Honda Civic LX. I ask price quote on the Internet, and it goes to $18000 the lowest. It is this price good? It seems there is a great demand of civic so the price is really close to MSRP.

For any Civic, considering it is one of if not the most-sold vehicle in america right now, no matter where you are expect very few discounts on civics.

For Accords on the other Hand....supply is much greater, and there are some pretty attractive Specials in the way of Financing going on, plus they dont get too much lower MPG's....so you may want to maximize your money for car by going with the Accord right now.

Thats what I did...and I absolutely love mine!

I am going to buy a new HONDA ODYSSEY EXL 2008.
Has anyone made a recent purchase ?
What is the Lowest price u got?
One local dealer told me he could get me 27,089 yesterday and once I get there they added up destintion charge etc.and added 1500 more. I was pissed off as he told differently on the phone. I have called 10 Dealers (upto 300 miles) and got 27,099 with
HONDA FINANCING. Some dealers tell me CASH or FiNANCING doesnt matter it will be same price. Some go lower price for CASH instead of Honda financing. So it seems tricky.
I am worried if they are going to change and increase the price after i drive 300 miles. I want to make sure it is reasonable price and it is possible with no surprises.
27,099+tax+doc+title=more than 30,000
But before tax, title including all destination charges etc is 27,099 a reasonable price and possible price I can shoot for?
I see some poeple get for 25,605 written in the forums on edmunds in May last week.I saw 4-5 posts around 27,000. Everyone didnot mention about HOW THEY PAID for the odyssey
Any suggestions woudl be appreciated.

Hi Chris,

I am interested in purchasing a 2008 Honda Accord EX.

I got the following quote:

MSRP: 24530
Invoice: 22291
Price I pay: 22691 (Invoice + 400) I got this price as soon as I sat down to talk with the salesperson. Also, if you could give tips on how to continue negotiating.

The final out-the-door price I was quoted was 24836.28 [22691 + 150 + 15 + 143 (title) + 1827.28 (tax)]

I am located in Chicago, Illinois.

Thanks a lot!

EDIT: I also wanted to add that I'm a college student. Are there any discounts for college students. I went to look at a few Jeeps and they have a college program where they sell the car for 1% below invoice.

Im interested in purchasing a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe LX-S what i got from the honda dealer was 23669 out the door for the car. The dealer said he was giving me the car for $300 above invoice. The dealer lived in the same building as us so he was straight forward about the pricing.

zdazzle my friend in nyc got an accord coupe ex for 24500 otd thats how much he bought his for..

Can the lx-s be had for around 22000 or less in the NYC area? Looking for a tafetta white one you think the beige interior will get dirty fast? Wish they offered a black interior for the tafetta white. Also lemme see how much you can get the ex pricing for also thanks!

No issues....and no hard feelings....

Its just that I have done a lot to help people here and build a solid online rep with this and many other sites I am on, so I would rather not have other salespeople post in my thread because in all honesty, the way you and your dealership does business is not the way I and my dealership does...plus I post things here that are approved by Honda...and I dont want something you post to reflect badly on those approvals, wether it is something intentionally done or not!

The CR-V for sure....has close to Civic Milage, Little bit more Space, and is available in an AWD Format...or you could go with the Element as long as a 4 Passenger model is ok for your situation!

Hi CBondHonda,

I really appreciate you answering questions for people, and hopefully you'll be able to help me as well.

I live in Northern Virginia, DC Metro area. I'm currently looking for a new 2008 Civic LX Sedan with Automatic Transmission. I've sent out inquiries to various dealerships in the area. So far, I've received quotes around $19,000 OTD. Is that reasonable? Or should I be able to negotiate more?

Also, a dealer 2 hours away from me offered $17,800 OTD. Is it risky? I don't want to drive 2 hours to find out that they're not going to honor their quote in the email.

Should I try to see if any dealerships in the area would match or come close to the $17,800 quote?

What should my strategy be? Thanks in advance!

Well in all honesty I think that 17.8K OTD a little low(Edited)....namely because not many dealers have many of them, and secondly....they (we) dont have to.

My best advice is look for a good low milage Certified used for about 1.5 to 2k Less than a New...and go with that...otherwise depending on you tax rate the 19K OTD is about as good as I think it will or can get.

Well in all honesty I think that 17.8K OTD is BS...no one is selling Civics that much off of MSRP....namely because not many dealers have many of them, and secondly....they (we) dont have to.

Depending on what you tax rate is that may be pretty good...

CBondHonda,

I have a question that I never really understood nor found an answer to. Once, I went to a Honda dealership with a friend. My friend was looking to buy a honda accord coupe. Unfortunately, the color combo he was looking for is all sold out everywhere except this dealership that we went to. The vehicle already had about 300 miles on it.

1) Can that vehicle be considered as a new vehicle still?

2) How did the vehicle end up with 300 miles on it? The test-drive can't possibly put 300 miles on the vehicle. Though, it's possible, but highly unlikely, in my opinion.

3) I'm looking for a new Honda Civic LX Sedan w/ Automatic Transmission. What mileage should I be expecting on a new vehicle when I pick up the vehicle, 5-10 miles, 30-50 miles?

Thanks in advance for helping me answer some of these questions!

To answer in order of Questions Asked:

1) A vehicle is considered New until it has been titled in a Buyers name...regardless of how many miles are on it...(Thats why demos are sold as new, but can have up to 4k or so miles on them)

2) There can be a lot of reasons, Like one of a few cars that were Test Driven many times (our test drives are an average of 10 Miles...so 30 People drive it over the course of a month and there you go) or Maybe it was Sold...but something happened and they backed out of the deal, or they could not get financed...so the car had to be returned.

3) EVERY Honda Vehicle should have at LEAST 10-12 Miles on it before it is sold as part of the PDI Process...so if it has 1-8 miles...that means it probably was not inspected properly...and you should be wary of taking it home....any miles over 10-12 is all test drive/demo drive miles usually.

Hello,

I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am looking for a New 2008 Honda Fit, the tag on the car was around 14k-15k. What do you think is the lowest price i can get on this car?? If its a good enough deal i wouldn't mind paying all of it in cash, would that help in getting me a better deal??

I wouldn't mind getting a used white 2007 honda fit either, but they're hard to find, any recommendations? and what do you think the lowest i can get a used 2007 fit for?

thank you in advance!

Hello Mr. Bond,
I read all 336 posts in this thread about various questions and seems like you doing a great job for helping new/old car buyers. You're repped for that :)

Here's my question:
I have 2007 Honda Accord EX 4-cylinder sedan bought last year and have put 8.5K miles on it upto date. How much would be the resell value for this machine as of today? I would PM you if you have any questions to answer my query. Thanks in advance!

Hello Mr.Bond,

I read through the whole thread and was quite impressed the way you are helping people out. I am looking for a Honda Odyssey 2008 EX-L/NAV and RES. Got a quote for 29990 + TTL on Honda Odyssey 2008 EX-L/NAV and RES. Also 0.9% financing with Honda. Is this a good deal? I live in the burbs of Chicago. I have a 2004 Lancer Ralli Art with 20000 miles and was offered 8k for the trade-in. The kbb value of this is 10,100 for excellent, 9500 for good and 8500 for fair. Except for a light scratch in the back bumper and some 3 scratches by the rear door, the car is in very good condition. Is this a good deal?

Please let me know.
Thanks

When it comes to the Fit...MSRP is the Norm (Destination Included of Course).

Dont expect any discount at all...EDITED

Used are in some cases the same price or higher than a new...depnding on the milage it has...and if it is Certified or not.

You may want to wait for an 09...redesign model...should hit by October!

I would say you should be able to get somewhere in the 17-18k range for it....maybe a little less...

We have some we are selling for 18.9k to 19.9k that have almost the same miles...

hi, Mr. Bond,

I went to a Chicago surb. Honda dealer for Odyssey 2008 LX. The dealer gave me $22500 OTD and tried to sell me extra protection plan cost $1000 and $1000 more if I use 0.9 APR. The dealer told me I should pay Chicago tax 9.25%. Is it true? What price should be a good deal?

Thanks a lot!

Everything you posted seems like what it should be...

The APR Is an either /or type of deal...and the warranty ...well just make sure you get one through Honda....not the third party thing.

One more question about the Civic Si... for the 2005 model with 25k miles and the HFP package, what should be the price? Also, what does the HFP (Honda Factory Performance) package entail? Can I send you a link to the one I'm looking at (or is that against some sort of rule?)

But they didn't have the model, so for the quote above, would they be a good deal for LX model or both LX and EX?

You can send the Link....thats the older Hatchback EP3 Body style...so deffinately not as much as an 06 or newer....

This will be all relative to your area....but as I said before...somewhere between 16 and 17k is Realistic...

They are either overcharging for the LX of either....or they are good deals on an EX (Civic) and LX-P (Accord)

Honda Civic LX 2008, $17700
Toyota Corolla LE 2009, $15700

Hey Chris,

I wondering what the official word was as to whether dealers could specify orders on the 09 Fit yet. I'm looking to get a Tafetta White Sport model w/o Nav in Central Florida, and it seems on FitFreak there is some debate about whether or not these orders can actually be filled and if Honda is actually taking them. Someone called Honda Corp. and they had no idea what any dealer had taken a deposit already.

Thanks!

We couldn't find any dealers willing to go a little less on the Fit. We went through every link, Sam's Club, Costco, Upromise etc and they all said the same thing. They could do the discount on virtually every other car except the Fit. Not even the 2008's.

Yeah, which is what I'm expecting.

My gripe is that some dealers feel the need to charge more than MSRP and are willing to lie about the possiblity of ordering a car for me.

I e-mail Courtesy Honda in Sanford Florida, as they are the easiest for me to get to, but if they don't bite I'll e-mail some other locals.

I just wish the car was in my driveway even at MSRP, I just hate the damn process...

Keep in mind, it isnt the act of buying a car that is the aggravating part...its usually all dependant on who you are buying it from that makes for problems.

So do some internet searches through Google and the like and find the Dealer in your area with the best online reputation...that should make the process easier for you and for the person selling the vehicle to you.

Thats why I practice and preach the reputation that I as well as the Store I work for have....its makes the process enjoyable for me and my customers rather than something they or I have to dread!

Absolutely, if I wasn't so far away I'd drive out to Texas. I thought about it with my father living in Dallas, but it just isn't feasible with fuel prices these days....

We just got a new 2008 honda accord coupe ex-l v6 with navi (auto). We wanted the red with black leather seats but there are none in our area (well there was one but they cannot beat the price quote we obtained online)

MSRP is $30,510 and invoice was $27, 630 for our area in Boston, MA

We found a couple price quotes from edmunds.com and the lowest we got was $26, 738 and we got a black on black.

I wonder if this price is ok?

Part 2 to the question was we wanted to make use of the 60 months 3.9% promo but we can only do it when we purchase a 7 year extended warranty + wheel&rim protection promo, if not the rate will become 7.95%apr. the difference between a 7.95% excluding all packages and 3.9% with the care packages is just $5 difference... Honestly the financing part sounded a little fishy but the finance guy said for the extended warranty u can get it refunded within the first 3 years if you decided not to keep it.

That first part is great...thats a great price and one of the best I have seen on that car....for the second part...that is a complete LIE....

If you qualify for the rate per your credit score...you can get that rate regardless...they just want to make some extra $$$ off of you and are telling you that.

One of the oldest tricks in the book, but is really not "leagal" to say!

2009 Honda Ridgeline
The Honda Ridgeline has proven itself as one of the most innovative members of the half-ton pickup truck segment with its In-Bed Trunk™ and fully-independent suspension. As part of its confident truck credentials, the Ridgeline is one of only a few half-ton trucks with four-wheel drive that are recommended to haul a half-ton of cargo in the bed with two passengers inside. Plus, its refined suspension design and highly-rigid unit body construction contribute to comfortable and engaging road dynamics – a rarity in the pickup world. For 2009, the Ridgeline undergoes a significant makeover with bolder exterior styling, new and updated interior features, and an enhanced engine design. The 250 horsepower 3.5-liter VTEC V-6 engine receives three more horsepower and a broader torque band at lower RPMs primarily through the addition of a new camshaft profile and higher-flowing dual-stage intake manifold. Revised transmission gear ratios are engineered to take advantage of the additional engine torque for more responsive acceleration during normal driving or while towing. A tow hitch becomes standard equipment on every 2009 model to accommodate the pickup’s 5,000-pound towing capability and includes a 7-pin wiring harness on the Ridgeline RTS and RTL. Inside styling updates include revised three-dimensional-style gauges, a new steering wheel design, and enhanced HVAC, audio, cruise and headlight controls. New technology-friendly features include the addition of Bluetooth HandsFreeLink on the Ridgeline RTL equipped with the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, a 115-volt power outlet on the Ridgeline RTL, MP3/auxiliary input jack on the Ridgeline RTS and above, and the audio systems become MP3/WMA compatible. New safety features include active front seat head restraints and daytime running lights.

Chris

So I am assuming that they are trying to make some money out of us from that package then? Any suggestions how to get away from it? The finance guy said if we didn't like the extended warranty for 7 years in the first 3 years we can get a refund for that, and that's a $1600 value. But we may keep the tires and rim (like $500?) because of the pot holes conditions here and we are just afraid that the tires and rim will get busted with the roads we are driving on during winter times.

Thanks to your reply. After coming back to the dealership, we also feel like the Part 2 was not making sense at all. (they pointed out a very fine print **All incentives & rebates to dealer. Customer must qualify. Taxes and fees are additional.
Subject to availability. See dealer for details.**)

We wanted to back out on the spot yesterday at the finance guy's office but then he started saying the dealership paid $250 for trading in the car (black that we want) tolls, fee and the dealership has already paid $500 for the car alone)

This whole thing just sounded fishy to me...

Perhaps it's a bit too late to ask if this is a good deal or not, because I JUST financed a new 2008 Civic LX last night.

Can you tell me if I got a decent deal? I'm sure it's not the best I can get, but seeing as how I have barely any credit and recently graduated, I'm hoping it's good enough.

I think Chris will give his thoughts on this. But one of my friend purchased civic recently in florida and she got 4.9% interest. she also had the same credit record as you have, because she bought when she recently graduated from a university.

Hey CBondHonda,

I am looking into a base model CRV. I went to a dealer a couple of days ago and they said that there weren't any deals on the CRV. I know I have a credit score above 720 and that I can get a 4.9% rate from my credit union. What kind of prices should I be looking for and will it be possible to get a rate better than that from Honda. Also, I would take any suggestions on dealers in the area if you have them. :bounce:

Thanks in advance!

Honestly...thats not your problem!

LOL

Warranties are not required to get any certain rate that may be available...and the sob story has nothing to do with what you finance the car for.

Although I completely agree with getting warranties...they should be sold under the right pretences...and it sounds like to me they are lowballing the car price just to turn around and hit you higher on the rate to profit.

So ask very simply where it says in writing that a warranty is required to qualify for the rate (they wont be able to because no such print exists.)

Seems ok to me....but every person is different and every deal is different regardless of the grad part...

I have had grads come here that had 0 scores and some with better credit than myself...as well as everything in between....

So it really is all relative to your situation...but from your numbers it seems like a legit deal!

Hey CBondHonda,

I wonder if I got a good deal for my honda accord LX 08 sedan that I financed a few days ago. Out the door at $21,262.91 including taxes/fees. The price itself without taxes/fees was $19,749. They were listing it for $22,950. The manager was saying how he was already losing a couple hundred dollars off this deal, wonder if its true. thanks in advance :)

That 22,950 is more expensive than an LX-P model....so are you sure it was an LX and not LX-P?
(alloy wheels is the easiest difference to tell)

and the monthly payment you are quoting doesnt work....the math is wrong unless you put some money down you are not mentioning here or they gave you a longer term than what you think...

(21,262 / 36 Months is 590.00 per month with 0 % interest....right at 610.00 a month at 1.9%)

forgot to mention I put 8,000 down payment, I'm sure its a LX says it on the listing sheet that was on the side window. They added the mud guard that was around 300 dollars and added this paint protection package thing to the exterior and it cost around 700+ dollars. Without the extra stuff it was $21,810.

By my math with your $$ Down at that rate...looks like Im about 15 to 20.00 Dollars lower (386/Mo) than what you have there...but overall sounds ok I guess.

Splash Gaurds are not 300.00.....they are around 140.00 Installed...and the paint and fab thing...well Im sure you can estimate my opinion on that....but overall it seems like you got a good deal...so congrats!

That's true splash gaurds are not $300. I checked my local shop and they said it's gonna cost about $150 including taxes. I remember when I was out buying my new Accord, I went to one Honda dealership in Florida (sorry shouldn't disclose the name :) ) and they said they are giving me this mudguards installed for free. but their quote was almost $900 higher than I got from other dealership. I had a long debate with sales person at that time :) Eventually they couldn't get a business from me and I ended up buying at other dealership. The interesting thing was when that sales person found that I bought from somewhere else.... they called me 3 times (including sales manager) within an hour to find the price I paid to other dealership to buy a new Accord. I am not a sales expert :) but I know there are many dealerships I have seen who tries to get some more money by adding low cost accessories which are not mandatory for a daily use.

I'm in the market for a Civic EX 4 door w/ auto. It seems that the 2009's will be out in a few weeks, so this brings up whether to buy the 2008 or 2009. I have a quote for $300 over invoice plus tax, title, dmv, etc. for a 2008. Is this a good price? Will it be cheaper once the 2009's come out? Would the 2009 models cost more than this simply because they are newer? Thanks!

don't know about the fees, but the tax rate is your state tax rate. they charge the same sale tax rate as you would buy any other thing from stores and such.

Thanks for replying to my questions many months ago. I'm still at the same dilemna of picking a vehicle to purchase. I believe I'm going to go with a Civic Hybrid rather than an Accord. Feel free to question my logic here, but I feel that a hybrid might just be a better option in the long run. That being said, the following out-the-door prices have been received and I'm unsure if the timing is right to purchase.

I should note that the new 2009 Civic Hybrids are coming out in September and I would be curious to know if I should wait on one of those or if the difference is so slight, that it wouldn't really matter. Also, I'm not sure what they will be priced at, but I've heard they come out on the high side (which would make sense).

So, the same story holds true for all dealerships I've checked. The hybrids are in high demand and low supply, thus, the prices are a bit above MSRP. I decided against the navigation system because I felt that it would be more economical to purchase a handheld device, rather than dish out the $2000 for the indash.

Offers: ranged from $27,670.65 - $31,610 (out the door)

I'm going to go with Honda financing if I can for "well qualified buyers" and I believe the intest rate was quoted at 5.24%. I want to register the vehicle in my home town rather than where I currently live (northern California), thus my sales tax would change from 8.25% to 7.25%. Hopefully that works too.

Soo, advice time.

Are those out the door prices reasonable? Will I be laughed at if I ask for extra things to be added for free (ie tint, mask, etc.)? Do you agree with the navigation system not being necessary, also due to the depreciation of this feature through time? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, as this is my first time purchasing a car on my own.

Thanks in advance!

Chris,

I've got a friend who is in the immediate market for a 2008 CR-V. He's paying in full cash, and wants a 4wd model in either LX or EX trim. He would like the upgraded wheels, but is not picky on things like sunroof. He was about to walk into the dealership today and plop down 24k on an LX model, but I immediately advised him against it as I was suggesting he set a firm price on 22 OTD on 4wd LX models, and approximately 24k OTD on the EX. Our zip code is 60706. I would highly appreciate it if you could PM/e-mail me a good range to shoot for the LX/EX models of the CRV (OTD).

Additionally,

I am looking to buy any manual 03-05 Accords. I am curious how much buying power I have with a dealership if I were to pay in cash for these cars (max 12k). I don't know how much manual accords are in demand, and if going through a dealer would be a good way to get one. I would very much so like to find myself a V6 6speed model, but there are a very few amount of those going around, and I am willing to travel to pick up a model. In fact, if you find any on your lot- please save my username as I would fly down (from Chicago) were the price/condition ideal.

I greatly appreciate it, thanks.

Hi Chris,

I hope you see this message before you leave for vacation.
I'm looking to buy a Accord 2008/2009 (if comes out soon) LX, LX-P or EX. I would like to have one with cloth seats and would like to stay in a budget so I'm cosidering LX too if the EX is more expensive.

I'm interested in Silver color. Could you please give me your best price for Accord LX/ LX-P/ EX if I buy from your dealership? I'm Atlanta, GA (6% tax) so I would add the $700 or so shipping to it. Please include all fees and give me a drive out price from your dealership (not including shipping, I may choose to drive back). I'm interested in the purchase in about 10 days.

I would be arranging the financing myself, but if you can provide a good deal in that then it would be great too.

Thank you soo much.

Car price info I will PM to you.....

I have no idea what your local taxes and fees are....but it is easy to calculate:

Car Price x State tax rate is Taxes
DMV Fees are usually around 200-250.00
Any Dealer or Prep fees should stay under 50.00 to 100.00

Add those things together and there you have it...

TO EVERYONE: ALSO MAKE SURE THE QUOTES YOU GET INCLUDE DESTINATION IN THEM EVERYTIME FOR COMPARISSONS!!!

The pricing you have there is rediculous....

Drive out on a Hybrid no matter where you are should be around 25 to 26k at MOST for a Non Navi model....

So if that is the best offer you can get....look further away from where you are or wait....or do what I did and what I keep telling everyone else to do and go with the Accord or a normal Civic.

(the reg. civic doesnt get too much less in MPG's than the hybrid....and for 3k or so ...maybe a lot more in your case...lol....less than the hybrid.)

I cant tell you what to like....all I can tell you is what makes since when you do the math.

With the wheels added....those numbers arent to easy to come by...

Without the wheels and yes your numbers look pretty good..

I havent seen an 03 - 05 Manual Accord in a LONG time and have plenty of people that want one in this area....so to be honest if you told me that you werent going to pay over 12k for one....I might smile a little and say that I probably couldnt help you.

The last one I sold was an 04 with 108k Miles (EXL) and it sold at 11.5k......so it is possible...but expect high miles.

PM'd u I did...

In regards to the 08 CRV- How much can I expect the alloys to add to the price? I've bought new Acura TL OEM tires + wheels for $500, so personally it would seem anything above that for the CRV would be too much.

Is it safe to shoot for 22,500 OTD with upgraded wheels, awd, in LX trim for a 2008 CRV OTD, and just wait it out until someone bites?

Wheels are going to be close to 1700 / 1800 Installed at the least....

The problem is that you are wanting a Drive out price equal ( or at least very close to) what the car price will be with wheels added....and thats with the avg discount going on right now (at least so far as what I have seen) for all CRV's....

Accord LX Sedan, new
Automatic, Gray
1.9% for 36 months at $406/month
Includes mud guards
I'm located in North-west Florida

I'm not sure if the price go up but last 2 month we bought a Honda Accord LX + splash guards + 4 season floor mate for $19,300 out of the door (included DMV) with 4.99 % interest for 5 years with $4000 down payment

I came back last month and I want the same deal but they refuse to sell the car for that price unless I pay $19,700 for it , we bought a LX-P for $20,775 Out of the door (included DMV). 2.99 % interest for 3 years with $4000 down payment

Hi Chris,

I'm really looking to close down a deal this weekend because one of my cars is crapping out. I'm a bit tight on budget and looking to finalize a Honda for probably 20K and max I can go is 21K. (drive out, Sales tax 7%, tag/title: $20 in my place, Atlanta, GA).

Do you have ANY of these demo cars on your lot (Accord LX, LX-P, EX, Honda CR-V LX)??? Any of these cars which have been demo model is fine with me as long as you can get me a good price. Please advice me what is the best option for me as I dont mind getting hurt by a couple MPG if i get Honda CR-V as I already own one 2007 model.

Thank you for your help!! (I know I have bothered you earlier too, but this time i think I'm done with the patience and looking to close a deal as i get one).

I got an offer of invoice price on the Odyssey EX-L minus the 2500 (rebate). So I believe its 29,166 -2500 = ~$26600. I'm located in CT.

it was an over the phone thing..the sales manager at acura is a good friend of ours..i guess he knows the sales manager at a different honda dealership so they called us saying the deal he could give us is invoice minus the 2500. he never did a credit check. credit is near perfect though so it shouldnt be an issue. maybe he was trying to say that he give 2500 without the "special" financing. in any case i went to another honda dealer today and got a quote for 271xx with destination charge which is invoice minus 2500. they essentially matched the other dealer, but i think i can work off another couple hundred bucks. looks like agni got a pretty good deal, maybe i should shoot for 26500.

Hi CBondHonda,

I am looking for a 2008 Honda Odyssey EX-L with DVD Rear Entertainment System + Navigation. I am located in Bay Area, California and has gotten several quotes.
The best one I have is:
$30,000 excluding tax & others (this is the price with the 0.9 % Financing for 36 months)
Includes all season floor mats, full gas tank (which I think is standard among all dealers). Still working to see if I can get a free cargo mat
OTD price is $33,649

Is this a good deal or should I wait?

Hi Chris,

I am in the market for an Element EX. I'm looking for either FWD or AWD with an automatic transmission (I don't really care that much for the AWD because I live in San Francisco and wouldn't really need the AWD for anything). The best quote over the net I've received so far is $20,800 for an AWD EX. How's this looking to you?

Also, I would actually prefer a used one (possibly 2006) in the mid teen price range. But every dealer's asking price for even the 2006's is in the high 17k's out here. Is it unrealistic to think they would come down anywhere in the neighborhood of 2K for a used model?

Thanks.

Well before I answer...are you sure they want an 08, or would they want to wait for the Mid-Model Change of the 09?

The Fit, regardless of trim / color etc...will be MSRP (total with Dest. Included) no matter who you go to.

Those who try to go over MSRP are the ones to look out for...or those that add a bunchj of unwanted stuff to them to make you pay for it.

Sure there is...probably another 300 to 500...

I got an offer for $22,558 OTD for the 09 Accord LX-P without options or accessories and feel like it's too high.

Could anyone share their OTD for this trim or give me some recommendations how much I can go? I wish to pay $21,000 OTD, but am not sure if that's possible.

Thanks,

21 OTD on the LX-P is not possible for an 09....

Your Drive Out actually looks pretty good...

Hi Chris,

I am in Raleigh NC. I got a quote from one of the Honda dealers for 2008 Honda Odyssey EXL w/o navigation and DVD player. The price is $25,000 before tax and documentation fee. Is it a good price? Is there any room to bring it down further.

Thank you for your help.

Looks good but drive out is what matters....

I was just surprised how many people on Honda Forum on Edmund's carspace townhall told that they paid $21,000 OTD for their 09 Accord LX-P auto.

I've been negotiating prices over tons of emails and a bunch of phone calls with Internet manager of 4-5 dealerships around the city in order to have them beat prices. It did not work out well coz they did not believe that 22,299 OTD I got was real although I forward email with that quote to them.

I am very tired of this negotiation process, but do not want to get ripped off.

Any good strategy? Would walk-in to talk with Internet manager work better?

Thanks for your help!

For starters.....do what I did long ago and take the Edmunds forums as 20% reality, 20% Mis-Information, and the other 60% as just pure BS.

I stopped posting there over a year ago because most of what gets posted is either a blatant lie...especially about pricing....or is someone who does not give the whole story or imbelishes just a little too much.....
( I know because I get to see what cars ACTUALLY get sold for all over the nation)

Then do all that you can by email or phone and go with the lowest your area will offer!

Thank you for your information. That helps me a lot! I'll go to check the final price with the dealership next weekend. I think it is possible that I can get $22,000 finally.

By the way, could you tell me how much it would cost me for an oil change? A 20-minute-away dealership offers $22,500 with lifetime free oil change while the 10-minute-away dealership offers $22,299 without the free oil change program. So, I'm not sure which one is worth paying.

They both are good in after-sales services, according to my friends.

Thanks again. I really appreciate it.

On the Accord....you will only be getting oil changes about every 5-8k Miles because of the Maintenance Minder Sysytem ( it judges when to get Oil Changes, Tire Rotations, etc...by how the car is driven, not by milage)

So think about how many miles you drive per year, divide that by 7k...and that will tell you how many oil changes a year you will probably need.

Then multiply that number by how long you plan to keep this car...and that will tell you how many oil changes you will probably need over the "Life" of the car...

Lastly...multiply that number times 35.00 (Avg Oil Change price) and this tells you how much money the "Lifetime Oilchange" offer would save you over the course of the life of the car.

By my math....if you drive 15 k Miles per year....and keep the car 5 years...its the same price either way you go....LOL
(higher milage, or longer term on keeping the car means the Lifetime Oil change will work out better in the long run....)

Thank you, Chris. That makes a lot of sense!!

I'll need this car for only five years which is the duration I expect myself to graduate and be in the US. As to the mileage, I don't even think I'll drive more than 6k miles a year.

Now I know where to buy my car. I'll keep you posted the final deal I get.

Hi Chris,

I am just curious if the price of the 09 Accord will drop next month. I will see the dealer on Sept 27 and I don't think they will have the car ready for me until next month. As far as I check, they don't have a white LX-P in their lot right now and need to get one from their networks.

By the way, is that a good idea to buy a car that I have not seen it before? How much should I pay for the deposit on my credit card until I see the car?

Thanks so much for your suggestions. I greatly appreciate it.

Hey Chris,

I have a 2007 odyssey touring w/DVD &RES with the PAX and about 20k miles on it.

PAX is being high maintenance.

Got a nail on the side wall and had to replace the one of the tire. Since it was running on run flat for about 40 miles before I could get someone to look at it, they also had to replace some rim lining (dont even understand what it is). cost me $480 ish total for 1 tire.

My other 3 tires are almost worn out. THey will pass inspection (due this month- van was bought oct 31, 2007) this year but in a couple of months i might have to replace them. I also have a small crack on one of the fog lamps and dealers are quoting $450 to replace one (van will not pass VA inspection witha crack in the fog lamp, even though it works- stupid VA laws)

Taking into account the cost of replacing the other 3 tires at approx $1000 total (actual cost per tire is working out to $330+taxes), considering trading it for a 2008 touring Non-PAX.

Having already spent $480 ish for the 1 tire and looking at $500 for the fog lamp and another $1000 expenditure in a couple of months to get the other 3 tires, makes me think trading it for a 2008 Non-PAX would make some sense (i could be wrong)

I'm being quoted
2008 Odyssey Touring $34,279.00
Freight 670.00
Processing 399.00
VA Taxes 1,102.86
Tags $ 59.50
Total $36,510.36 OTD

all their vehicles include - wheel locks, mats, door edge guards, wheel edge guards, splash guards and honda pin stripe at no additional cost

I guess this price would be applicable with the APR of 0.9%

Is this a good deal or could I do better.

How much can i expect for the trade. )paid $33000 + taxes and fee Oct 31 last year from the same dealership with the above accessories included

The vehicle is in excellent condition, no scratches and well maintained and was on BG44K every 7500 miles.

Your input is appreciated and thanks for being there for so many of us.

I think you are right on the Money for vehicle cost....however the Processing is a little high in my opinion, and the car price should be that with dest. INCLUDED...not plus that...

The PAX tires all have the be completely replaced...so yeah they do cost a lot of money when it comes time to get new tires...

Over all the deal looks good pending on what they give you for trade value...and if your state offers the Tax Credit on trade ins, as we do here in Texas

I got the following quotes, wondering if I should go ahead:

Hi Chris!

I knew when I found this thread a few months back that I would take you up on your offer of advice. So I will get straight to it..
Looking to buy a new Toyota Yaris.
I actually found a used one in my area with only 5000 miles on it.
2008 Toyota Yaris Sedan 4 door
Red-(not my favorite color), auto, power windows, doors, cruise etc. No auto key lock though (damn it!)

Test drove it today, drove just like the brand new ones I had driven at another dealer a few months ago when starting my search.
Clean car fax
dealers asking price SALE 15495.

I lowballed them with an offer in the 12's. they gave me the runaround. I came back with something in the low 13's. They came back at 14200. I wouldn't budge above 14000. Not including tax, title, plates etc..

Said I needed to go outside and make a phone call. Did this. went back in said I will take your 14200 offer if you pay my last lease payment on my dodge caliber.
Offer accepted.
Here's how it breaks down. (BTW it's not final yet, I got financing through other means and would need to close with them tomorrow most likely)
Would pick up the car on sat at 10 if I decide this is a go ahead.
I was told today that I should have had the dealer pay my turn in fee's for the lease. Chyrsler as you may know charges this fee which I did not know about when leasing my vehicle. The fee is around 450. What do u think?
Put down 150.00 deposit which is refundable according to dealer.
Price of vehicle 14113.90
Doc fee 180.00
CVr electronic filing 24.00
sales tax 859
license 8
title 15
delivered price 15200

They said they will issue me the check for 249.95 on Sat when I pick up the vehicle plus refund my deposit.
Is this a good deal or not. More negoitating?
I also got something from my eye doctor today that says I can have tinted windows. It was brought to my attention that the dealer could throw this in for free..???

Help?

Then respectfully, start your own thread....I have permission from Honda Compliance and the guys who run this site to post here and do what I do...plus we do business as a dealer a lot different than you do Im sure...so I would like to keep what I do and what you may do seperate!

Thanks!

C.Bond

It's included destination.
I knew one guy got this 20700 OTD around August.
But I am still not sure if better go to this one or new 2009 model (the different around 800 OTD)

Then get it!

And just because someone says they got one that low doesn't mean they really did....LOL

Hi guys,

New to this site as well as USA, just touched down at Seattle last Sunday. :) I am now on a company rental car and looking around for a permanent car for at least 1-2 years...

I have been eyeing either the 2006 onwards Honda hybrids or Toyota Prius with budget of 15-16k cash... but it seems to be above that budget...

I saw this on vehix a 2007 honda civic sedan (auto) for close to 17k with 18k miles on it... is it worth it? It is a dealer actually...

Or should I just get a brand new civic?

You can actually purchase a 2008 and maybe even a 2009 model for close to that same price....so it deffinately is not what I would consider a good deal....

Try this website....and look for a Certified Used Honda that matches what you want and in your area:

Thanks for the link but there seems to be none when I search using my zip code.

I did manage to find this 2007 honda civic hybrid... for close to 18k from a dealer... I think that is close to a good deal as a 2009 would set me back 24-25k

Are Prius more in demand over the Civic Hybrid? The Prius I see are all pretty high priced. Is the fuel consumption the reason for this? The difference in the FC seems to be quite a gap too...

The real world fuel econmoy on the prius (actual Reported Driving MPG's) are only 2-3 MPG's higher than the Civic...but with a much higher initial car cost...

Its more of a mindset now that people "think " the prius gets better MPG's than what it really does...and Toyota is playing on that by charging a premium...

And I would agree that the Hybrid you have there looks pretty good...just make sure it is a certified used honda...(Honda Certified)

I too am looking for a civic but am in no hurry. Should I wait for the end of the year or look for deals now. I have been offered 18.5k with 1.9% finance for honda civic LX AT sedan in the bay area. Can you please comment on the deal and whether I should go for it or wait a month or so?

I would hope that 18.5K is Drive Out...otherwise its a horrible deal...

As long as that is drive out...I would say go for it....because there is only so low these can go....and Car prices for 09 Civics are pretty low right now!

Well....

If you want a NEW Honda....your options would be pretty narrow...and if you are stuck on looking at Trucks / SUV's...then there are none for New 2008 / 2009 Honda's that would work.

EDITED

For used vehicles....Honda-wise....the best thing to do is look at this link:
http://www.honda.com/google/index.aspx

Should be plenty of Certified Slightly used Honda's available for you....and if you can help it...stay away from anything that the big 3 are making right now...the values of those plummett further and further by the day....

If you can bump that to 20k....you can get a Ridgeline for that all day long....or a CRV even...otherwise you need to look at Civics and Fits.

Thanks, I want a good deal... I live on sd's so I am use to getting great deals! I will take a used 2006+ But no one here will budge on there profit.. 2000.00+ They dont have to spend time getting me to buy. just do the paper work and i am out the door. But it seems they will Die if they dont go through the 4 hour haggling crap. Why cant they settle for 500.00 in there pocket for a hours worth of time? Why is it that they greed and want that 2000.00+ I would be happy for 500.00 an hour and move on to the next person.

Anyway thanks for the links I will check them out. If I fly to texas will you make a great deal and I will drive back? :)
