I don't know if this has been disussed or not but my suggestion is SD should provide more select on rep point. :bulb:

I mean, like if one has +4 rep points and want to rep a so-so deal with 1 point but he can't do that since once he "rep" whole 4 points will go toward the OP/helper

Sometimes you don't want to rep a little helper for all point available :shake:

SD should add some selection like a list after click on "the rep little box", choose the level or rep point you want to give and leave a comment.

This way people won't hesistate to rep a medium deal but useful to them. SDers become more and more stingy about rep points once their reps go up :bounce: (sorry, no offense)

OOT: Does Selma really rep anyone once??? :D

I honestly think reputation on this site is blown out of proportion. I think it's a nice way to say "thank you" to someone, and let other people on the forum know that they were helpful. But I can honestly say having 1,000 rep points or 20,000 rep points make no difference to me. Actually I think those with the most rep points are usually the ones who spam the forums with "non-slickdeals" to gain rep points. But think for a moment, what is the difference in someone that has 10 points vs someone that has 30,000 points? From what I've read here, nothing: http://forums.slickdeals.net/faq.php?faq=sd_faq_item#faq_reputation_faq_item

It's people like selma on here who are obviously having a race on the forums to see who can get the most rep points. 95 percent of the s##t selma posts, is s##t. Usually the only deals I look through are on the front page, because I'm so sick of shuffling through garbage on this site.

I really like this idea. I am worth 4, but sometimes I might only want to give two.

I approve this idea

Theres little SD cliques that make sure they rep each other every day. So people with 10,000 reps by looking at their previous posts did nothing of value to earn those reps.
