although I'm not Italian, I love to cook italian food. Here it is here if you want to try it. I make at least once a week. I don't eat it but my kids love it.
My easy chicken cacciatore recipe with onion, green pepper, stewed tomatoes, wine (optional) and oregano
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 medium cloves garlic minced
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cans (14.5 ounces each) stewed tomatoes
2 teaspoons dry oregano
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper, or to taste
4-6 chicken breasts cut up to bite size
3/4 cup dry red wine
PREPARATION:
Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet.
Brown chicken on all sides.
Remove chicken and drain off excess grease, leaving a tablespoon or two.
Add chopped onion, green pepper, and minced garlic to hot skillet; sauté until onion is tender.
Stir in tomatoes, wine, oregano, salt, pepper.
Add chicken back to sauce and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Serve with hot cooked wheat spaghetti or any other pasta you like.
It should serve about 6 or 4 very hungry people LOL
If you like it on the spicey side, you can substitute the
2 cans (14.5 ounces each) stewed tomatoes for
1 jar of Classico Spicey Tomato & Pesto pasta sauce and omitting the wine.
Bon Appetit. Hope you like it.
copied from old thread to this one
Omlets In A Bag
Ingredients:
One or Two or three Eggs
precooked Bacon pieces (canned, bottled, or from a previous meal)
ham (sliced lunch meat, cubed, or other)
precooked sausage pieces
shredded Cheese
onion - diced or minced
green or mixed peppers
salt
pepper
other seasonings
diced fresh tomatoes
sliced fresh mushrooms
other toppings you might like
Method:
In a sandwhich sized Ziploc bag, pour in one or two or three eggs (no shell!).
Add shredded cheese, bacon, onion, whatever you like and seal the bag removing as much air as possible.
Squish the ingredients to mix (milk or water not needed - use sparingly if you do).
"Burp" the air out.
Recommend that you double bag. Slips with names or pieces of packaging can be put in between the bags so you can tell whos is whos. Everyone can make their own - exactly as they like. This gives everyone something to do too.
Gently Drop in a pot of boiling water.
Boil 3 min-1 egg, 4 min. for 2 eggs. 5-6 minutes for 3 eggs.
"test" the baggie - the more toppings you add you may need more time. You can not over-cook them (generally) and they will not brown/burn unless the pot boils dry.
Open bag & roll omelet onto plate. YUM!.
You can top with more shredded cheese or toppings and serve.
Little clean up (if any).
Perfect fluffy omlets without over-cooking every time. It's the only way I make omlets now. At home or camping - very easy and it involves everyone. You can make/cook lots of them all at the same time too.
Taco Tot Casserole
1lb lean ground beef
1 - 1.25oz pkg taco seasoning mix (or more to taste)
minced onion if desired added to meat
1 - 15oz whole kernel corn, drained
1 - 11oz can nacho cheese soup, undiluted (or chedder or southwestern or other soup)
frozen tater tots (regular size, mini size, or popcorn potato)
shredded cheese (sharp cheddar, monteray peper jack, mexican blend, taco, or other(s))
salsa (opt)
sour cream (opt)
Preheat oven to 375.
In a skillet cook beef until brown. Drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix and add water, cook as directed on package of taco seasoning. Spoon meat mixture into an un-greased 2-quart casserole dish. Spread soup mixture undiluted over meant. Spread drained corn over beef. Spoon undiluted soup, if using two soups, over corn. Spinkle shredded cheese over top. Arrange tater tots in a single layer over this.
Bake for 40-50 minutes or until bubbly and potatoes are lightly browned. If desired, serve with salsa and sour cream.
Yield: 5-6 servings.
We like to mix up the soups and cheeses and often do. Onion flavored tater tots work great, the smaller ones are better than the larger.
Tonight I made it with McCains popcorn potato and it was great.

Good morning, everyone.
I had a nice evening yesterday after a stressful day at work. The heat wave continued and was still 83 at 11pm last night. The Heat Advisory was extended for yet another day and it's going back into the 90's today. At 5am this morning it was 77 (78 yesterday morning at the same time).
A friend and I went to a house party and were pleasantly surprised to find another friend of ours is done with his massage therapy course and starting a new career. He was giving away free 15 minute massages if we would take three business cards and hand two of them on to others in the next week. I must say that for only 15 minutes, it helped a lot. My lower back has been hurting since Saturday from all the kitchen work I did and the tossing and turning at night each night. I'm sure my stress at work isn't helping any either, but that's another story. He zeroed in on two massive knots on each side of my lower spine and I felt much better after the massage. It was very professional and nicely relaxing. During the night, I still tossed and turned but the pain was less than it's been and it did not hurt as much this morning when I got up. I can only imagine what a longer massage would have done for it.
As for the party, it was nice reconnecting with friends but there are so many other things to do in the summer that I'm not sure I will make it a weekly thing through the summer like it was in the winter. I have other things I want and need to do. I'm also thinking that the longer breaks between attendance will make the parties seem better/more special when I do go.
Wishing you all the very best that life has to offer, peace, love, comfort, compassion, better health, less concerns, and moments of pleasure.

Hi everyone... Well i'm scheduled for surgery next thursday. Does anyone know what's lymphoma?
:wave2:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lymphoma
Lymphoma is a cancer that begins in the lymphatic cells of the immune system and presents as a solid tumor of lymphoid cells. It is treatable with chemotherapy, and in some cases radiotherapy and/or bone marrow transplantation, and can be curable depending on the histology, type, and stage of the disease.[1] These malignant cells often originate in lymph nodes, presenting as an enlargement of the node (a tumor). Lymphomas are closely related to lymphoid leukemias, which also originate in lymphocytes but typically involve only circulating blood and the bone marrow (where blood cells are generated in a process termed haematopoesis) and do not usually form static tumors.[1] There are many types of lymphomas, and in turn, lymphomas are a part of the broad group of diseases called hematological neoplasms.

I have the regular codes, but with entering 120 points for the week I will be 44 points shy and this item has gone out of stock before. Without bonus points, it will need to wait a week and hopefully it does not sell out. I want the item, but the points for it seemed a bit steep until recently when I really looked for like items and realized that the points for the item with shipping are likely not so bad a rate. I was thinking about another IPOD, but my smartphone is doing a good job at anything the IPOD would do so I am rethinking NIKE GC's to get an IPOD.
If only something really, really good would come along.

I haven't gotten rid of my IPOD, but I don't think I will upgrade to a new one like I was planning to. I can play music, videos, wifi, camera, and the rest from my smartphone and don't see the need to upgrade or carry my IPOD. In fact, I can use my old phone for music two giving me an IPOD, a Zune, and two phones for that purpose. Getting NIKE GCs from MCR to upgrade to a newer IPOD doesn't seem like a good use of points anymore.

Dinner out with friends last night. I had some good fajitas of steak, chiken, and shrimp.
It was a leasurely meal with good conversation.
Then we headed out to a movie theater where we save $2.50 per ticket using an entertainment book coupon on each of our four tickets. At the concession stand we used two entertainement book coupons for free small popcorns and a $2.00 off coupon from entertainment for a large pop/popcorn combo pack. We saw the movie Change Up which was better than I expected and funny. Yes, on the surface it seems to be a remake of Disney's Freaky Friday but with a much higher level of adult themes, scenes, jokes, and language. The four of us enjoyed it.
Dinner coupons at $10 off each saved us $20 total.
Ticket coupon saved us $2.50 each for another $10 in savings.
Concession savings of $9.50 total
=== Total Saved last night was $39.50 making a $30 savings book a good deal in less than a day.
Rated R for pervasive strong crude sexual content and language, some graphic nudity and drug use.

Sounds nice Mich.
So, anyone make use of ShoeBuy.com?
I have a $10 cert (not from MCR). I kind of figured it's like the other "gift certificates", it's just a discount.
But, I got one from another place. I tried to use it. I just created an account. I found an online promotional code for 25% off.
So, $50-$12.50 (25%)-$10 (Cert) =$27.50... I thought. But, what the site shows is $50-$5(member)-$10 = $35. It was the oddest thing. The coupon worked, once signed in, the coupon was gone and there was a $4 coupon off. Then, I added the $10 cert, which made the member discount change to $5 off. BUt, the coupon was gone.
I tried to start over and I cleared out my cookies. I re did things and signed back in and the coupon just goes away. And the certificate, I couldn't even add, since it was still tied to the order which wasn't completed. Plus, I see no way of getting back to that order that wasn't completed. Blah! It doesn't seem to be a friendly site!
I was just looking for some input.

I find a lot of sites that don't seem to be very well written/coded.
One annoyance I find is having to register with all my personal information just to find out what the shipping charges will be. Some sites require a heck of a lot of information, you get the the shipping charges, and they charge so much that I won't complete the order because of the shipping charges. I like the sites where you can enter a zip or estimate shipping before shopping cart check-out.
I am finding more and more of these "gift cards" and "gift certificates" that, as you pointed out, are not really that. They are promotional/discount codes.
I was trying to get a good deal on labor day weekend motel and the discount codes I was trying to save with were actually higher room rates than I could get without a discount code.

yes - must be used in one visit and usually required spending more than the face value of the voucher.
Drinks included depends on the voucher and local laws. YMMV - read the fine print.
Near the end of each month they will begin to discount the purchase price of vouchers to as low as 80% off, but places sell out for the month and you may miss a voucher if you want to spend less than others are willing to spend for the place.
My experience has been positive and I have been given refund credits towards buying other vouchers if someplace goes out of business or will not accept the voucher provided the voucher has not yet expired.
Usually these can not be used with other offers like bogo, entertainment books, frends and family discounts, and so on.
Go for it - you may find someplace you really like.
If I give these as gifts, I usually provide the cash for the portion someone needs to spend.
So - if the voucher is $25 off $35 or more I will give the voucher and the $10 Cash.
I have used these as prices in bowling tournaments, raffles, and other fund raising events too. Bigger prize, less spent, and more profit to the charity.

Are the MCR redeem for point shirts up to par with the free school shirts? Those seem to be of nice quality. Now, the Dew labels ones, those were some heavy duty ones. Nice for winter, but, I'd like a little more of a discrete logo. But, it's a nice free shirt and they get free advertising.

The Barq's and Mello Yello shirts are the thinner weave/lighter weight (more synthetic?) then the Hanes quality level of the Coke Zero college t's but still very nice IMHO.
Hard to beat the Mt Dew stuff ... even if I didn't get near as many as the labels I mailed in (2 hoodies/2 t's) C'est la vie. Hell I still have my Hoodie from Transform Your Summer.
And a Dr Pepper T or two as well if I haven't taken all those on trips and didn't bring them back. Me thinks a few of those college t's are going to end up in Russia soon :winker:
Not sure about the 15% Live Nation codes working, might have to try that since I have another $40 to spend there.
Not too many concerts available in my immediate area so that'll likely be spent doing some creative preChristmas shopping.
I'll post the quality of any LN stuff when it arrives. I didn't get to play with the first batch of $40 winners so this is the first time I'm using them.
Unless someone happens to need a code and want's to trade something?!?

The free MCR T's are a very good quality, I think. I haven't spent any points on the other shirts since I have so many free shirts.
Mtn Dew shirts are nice, but as you mention the logo is HUGE and the black color does not always lend itself to what I may want to wear. When using them as undershirts, I need to make sure that any shirt's logos can't be seen through the material of the overshirt.
LN: Last time I tired, the discount and LNCash codes did not work together, but YMMV and it's worth trying. The shirts I have gotten from LN were good quality but at the cost of concert T's they better be. YMMV though from design to design and artist to artist.

Yeah, I saw they had the offer, I didn't see what the discount was. I'll go see if it was reveled. But, blah. I still have two from when I redeemed them in like 2009, when I thought the program was ending. At least they don't go away. Not to mention all the others from the texting. But, I have to try to get that computer back up and running. Since it's failed and I can't access the documents.
I did see someone complained on FB to Coke about the book not being free, since they had to pay for S&H. I don't know what Coke's response was for it. But, I saw other response for other issues of call such and such number.

In a worst case scenario, be prepared to flip your matress/box springs up to cover your windows if/when they break and use any other furniture to hold them in place.
Depending on the type of windows you have, type the X's on each pannel so that if they do crack/break you'll have little or at least less glass flying around.
Personally I'ld suggest going with the painters tape as it's sticky enough but easier to remove and clean the windows later rather then putting up something like Duct tape ... but it's better to have some tape then no tape at all SHOULD glass break.
And should you be going thru the major part of a hurricane rather then just being on the outlying edges, open a door/window on the OPPOSITE side of the wind so that the air pressure can equalize. Not sure how this is for a condo but it's very important for a house. Remember those pics from ... was it Dallas after one storm blew thru and sucked a bunch of the windows out of the sky scrapers? that was mainly from the pressure differential not just the wind.

I can't say what is right. But, isn't that a problem, to have a door open? I've heard for tornadoes (or was it hurricanes?), the part of the home that fails the most is the garage door. Then, once that fails/opens, that's when things break. But, that is a sudden change in pressure. So, if a door is open. I could see it being able to change/equalize slowly.
I've been threw a tornado and that was pretty spooky. To have the windows howling, because the air is being sucked out of the home. Luckily, it hadn't touched down. Otherwise, all trees and the home probable would of been gone. The home can be rebuilt, the trees take forever to replace.

The key word I had used was to have door's/window's open on the OPPOSITE side of the wind direction so you won't have wind/rain/debris blowing directly in.
It's the same with the sudden and dramatic lowering of the air pressure that occurs where you see a home's roof explode and then join in the debris rather then when it's the wind that RIPS the whole roof off.
x-ref the tsunami video of the farm where you look closely and see it's the pressure wave on the other end of the greenhouse that blows out the plastic sheathing (sp?) literally right before the water takes down the building.
And the storm surge from a hurricane is nothing to sneeze at either. I went thru one as a kid where one of the boats we had ripped the end of our dock off ('L' shaped) before blowing in and literally wrapping itself around a 3ft or so diameter pine tree 50 foot from the 'beach'. And this was the North end of Choctawhatchee bay, not like it was on the Gulf Coast.

Is your building brick? If so, there are brick clips that will hold plywood in place without making holes. If it does come down to having to put the wood up inside (it does protect you from flying glass and other objects, but only if it's put up with LOTS of the correct kind of screws) make sure that you get at least 3/4" plywood and screws long enough to go into the studs.

Lindy, nice find on the seafood code working for Omaha steaks. I wish I had known that, I would of gotten the code then, when it was a deal on MCR.
I'm considering sending down a dessert to a friend from OS. But, it's still $5. The last time I did it, through another company, it was free. I like free! Too bad the $10 codes for OS don't work on $9.99 items. Yet, another "gift" code that doesn't work like a gift card/cert.
Well, the free juice coupon arrived from MCR today. Same with my Dew coasters. I wonder if they have a second chance offer? That would be nice to get something else out of the shack contest. I had hoped to get at least the disc golf discs.
I'm thinking we'll have to wait till Monday to get the AMOE on the Coke Twist/Txt. I would think someone would have that in a digital calender as a note. Just, so they remember to turn it on. Or, just program it in while they get the contest going.

The Jazz concert was a lot of fun and the setting for it was so beautiful. The time went by way too fast though.
Yesterday it was up and out early in the morning for twelve hours at an amusement park. Lots of walking and a tad bit too much sun. Despite my neck being a bright pink, it doesn't hurt and didn't keep me away at night. A shower this morning felt so good; I was just too tired when I got home to shower before bed.
Busy day today. Change the sheets, breakfast with a group, visit a nursing home, a wine and food festival, dinner with a group, and some household chores. I need to get a good night's sleep to be ready to face the new week again.
I won tickets to another jazz concert next week, so that should be nice.
I hope eveyone is safe on the east coast. So many without power, and ten people deceased from Irene. It'll be so sad to hear of the property damage and losses too.
I hate to mention that our weather for the amusement park yesterday was simply perfect. Warm, sunny, clear blue sky, cool breeze, and low humidity. It made for a nice day. I did think a few times yesterday about how it was that we could be having such a good day while so many faced such bad weather to the east. Especially came to mind when you saw people with tshirts from locations in the path of the hurricane.
AIAW - so good to see you back here again. :hug2:

After dinner we stopped in to Office Depot to get my win from their text in game. I was in line and this man was in front of me that I recognized. Turns out, this guy and his wife were regulars that came in when I was working at the Olive Garden. They also came to my graduation open house. They are really super sweet people. I haven't seen them in six years. It is really cool to catch up like that. I mean, when I knew them I was just a teenager working as a waitress and living with my Grandmother. ok so you can buy these as many times as you want but not in the same transaction. You can't also use the RR from the 1st estroven to pay for the 2nd or 3rd estroven. It's not "rolling" as far as I know. Can you get your hands on the P&G insert? If so you can do a couple things. P&G is doing a promo that when you buy $30 dollars worth of their products you get $10rr back. I bought swiffer, bounty, gain, Tide & downy and used the $10rr from that to pay for one of my estroven. Another you can do is buy 2 crest which are 2/$5 & use 2 Q for from the P&G insert making them free and use that RR to buy another estroven. HTH

As for me, the last two days I didn't touch school work. So, now I must. I think I'll work my way up through each class. From the one with the least amount of stuff to the major one... CISCO...
Yesterday, I did get to go see the new Ape movie. That was pretty good. I went to use the tix from Coke. But, the theater wasn't on the list... how foolish! But, the ones from Tropicana came through! I have two more of those. I guess I could get more if I went and traversed the silver to gold level. The movie tickets are about the only good thing on there. I did miss out on the OJ glasses though. That would of been nice. Plus, the first round of them may of came with a coupon for free juice.

Great holiday weekend for me!
The weather where I was at was much better than the weather was at home. I went to see a Frank Lloyd Wright home, went to a winery, got some sleep, got some, drank, ate at some great restaurants, enjoyed a sunny and hot day poolside catching some end of the summer color, enjoyed some ice cold beverages, walked, shopped, had a tastey ice cream cone, sipped wine and enjoyed cheese and crackers at some Lake Michigan sand dunes, went bar hopping, attended a labor day festival, went through the Gerald R Ford Presidential Museum and paid my respects to President and Mrs Ford's gravesite, and enjoyed the company of some good friends. It was an amazing weekend and a great time.

Well, for starters, I wasn't there much as I was on the go most of the day. Second, it was a holiday weekend and vacancies were not plentiful. Thirdly, I couldn't get wifi to check around for another deal.
It didn't bother me to the point I wanted to check-out, but I will certainly write them and think very strongly about ever staying there again.
Reviews online were running 50/50 and some friends stated they stayed there before without any major issues so I was playing the odds.

If you don't feel your toaster was very good, try contacting them. They have returned points to people and allowed them to keep the items when problems with the quality of the item were reported. YMMV - good luck

I found some electronics in one today. But, yeah, nothing to shake a stick at. I scanned them to see if they were lower. Nope. So, I didn't bother. ONe was a Blu-ray from 2009. Nope, I don't need one yet. But, if I get an PS3. Then, I'll have a player and finally have something to stream for Netflix.
Ah, NF. My family complained before about that change in pricing. But, now he's decided to keep it for just streaming. It's just to convenient. I think many people are doing that.
Read through an amendment to the bank rules that came with the latest statement. They're charging $20+/day for when there's not enough funds. Yikes. That can add up quickly. I remember years ago. A friend telling me he got fee'd $5/day. I thought that was bad. Plus, that was a time it would take them a week or two to notify you.

:annoyed: I don't like the no price tag change here as its too easy for stores to bypass the scanner law now that they don't need to put prices on most items. The consumer really lost out on this now. Who can remember the price of everything and it will take too long to prove the scanner price isn't corrent. Then there are stores like Meijer that fills empty gaps in the shelves with whatever they have and the shelf tag may not even be for the item behind the tag.

As per new law, they just need the hang tag. But, stores, not just Meijer. Have such a huge problem with getting those placed correctly.
In talking with workers at Kroger. By now. I think all of the price stickers have to be rotated out w/in two weeks. They don't want anything marked. Which, yes, is such a huge loss. YEs, it's loss of man hours and yes, it's going to hurt jobs. Who ever said it won't, doesn't understand things, doesn't care, or got paid off by some company.
IT's hard deciphering the hang tags at times. You just don't know what product it's referring too.

As far as what I've been told. The scanner law still exsists. Just now with the hang tags.
There were a few times that I could of got the scan law. But, I didn't I just wanted out of the place and the difference was good enough. But, one place I finally complained the second time that there was issues and they didn't know how to apply the law or said it didn't apply. I was compensated for that. Which I thought was fair. I just hope the stores were notified to train the cashiers better.
Enjoy the evening's sleep.

I like getting all the MP3 from Sprite. That is nice. I still have to get music from LN.
But, geesh! That texting is insane for that game. Three text for one cap, plus, you have to send an email text each time, then, there's a 4th text in response, for one cap! At least I don't get charged for incoming. I guess I can't complain about nearly free music.
The newer tracfones seem to charge for both outgoing and incoming. I need to figure out how to replace mine w/ one that only charges for out going text. My speaker is toast. There has to be a loose connection inside it somewhere. Sure, I figured out there is actually a headset connection. But, I don't like using the ear piece. That just pushes all the sound into the ear. (I just don't get people listening to head phones and they're across the room. But, you can hear everything clearly, as if it were a regular radio.)
I may wait to redeem the new codes for music. Just so I can do it all at once, that way, I should be repeating my self. But, it will good to find out if the site warns you if you already downloaded something.
These free songs will make up for when I missed out on the Pepsi/iTunes the first time around. I had a stash of caps. But, my operating system needed to be upgraded to use iTunes. I upgraded after the promo ended. I delayed, since my disc drive ejection had failed. But, I figured out there was a way around it. It was slot loading and not tray. But, I found there is still a paper clip trick for the slot loading.

Yes, music, that's what I'll do for the most part. So the jacket is nice (decent), then?
S&H does tend to kill the deal.

I think so. Seems like it would last. It's a nylon jacket, not leather, but I think it will be good for fall and spring; perhaps even parts of the winter especially if worn with sweatshirt/hoodie/sweater. Too early in the season to know about winter wear IMHO.
Looks nice and modern with the designs on the jacket.
Perhaps Snavem can chime in as he suggested he would when it arrived. :look:

So I stopped at the local Kroger to get some items for a series of pinwheel snacks I'm making to take to a birthday party tomorrow. I bought some mixes at the labor fest on the grounds of the Gerald R Ford Museum in Grand Rapids that I would like to spead on wraps, roll, and slice into pin wheels.
Anyway, they are redoing the layout of the store and there were some corporate wonks walking around with one of the store managers. Good thing because I made use of that to make a point as I will get to in a moment.
History: For a long, long time I have been finding expired products for sale in this store. Everything from moldy and/or outdated produce, dairy, eggs, salsa, cold food products, boxed cereal, baking mixes, bread, meat, and on and on. The problem seems to be rampid at this store and from one end of the place to another. I really need to watch dates when I shop there.
So I grabbed the sour cream and low sodium taco seasoning, and went to the dairy section. I found a lot of items dated August 2011 still on the shelves. Some of the same items had no less than three price tags (prices) on the same item which made me look closer and thats when I notice that there is an entire range of dates on the various packages of cream cheeses (fat free, low fat, regular, etc) and many packages are past the dates. I called an employee over that was walking by and he told me just to leave the bad date items there and he "would tell someone" which did not sit right with me. I found good dated items and put them with my sour cream and taco seasoning.
I carried a bunch of the expired items up to the three managers (or rather the manager and two corporate wonks) and showed them to the group and mentioned that this happens all the time. I find expired items through out the store and I have reported it to the store service desk, employees, and managers but it keeps happening. I told them I shouldn't need to check the date on every item I plan to buy to make sure that they are doing their job to ensure they are not selling expired food. The two corporate wonks were very appologetic, agreed with me, and gave the store manage a look like "we will be discussing this later." I hope it makes a difference. Selling expired items is just not right. I'm not talking like a day past the date either. I found Dole fruit items weeks past the date, milk and juice a week past the date (there's no way the milk was still good), moldy produce, moldy bread, and the list goes on.
If I had more options near me I would stop spending my money there, but it's on my way to and from work, in walking distance of my home, and I would need to go out of my way to go to any other grocery options.

Good for you on the whole letting the higher ups know!
Yeah, to say the least, you made that managers day. They get all high strung and worked up, just because someone (higher up) is going to come in. It's even worse if it's a surprise visit. But, your input, needed to be heard. Your complaints over time went unheeded. So, corrective action was needed.
As for those pesky multi-price tags... those won't be a problem in a few weeks. Since, there will be none. If they can't keep hang tags correct. I will be emailing corporate. As a customer, I shouldn't have to guess or walk to find a price scanner. I want to know the price right there and then. If I don't know it, I will probable not even buy the product. It's a loss of a sale. Pure n' simple.

:thanks: I hate having to take my time, dig to find a good date, watch everything I buy, and sometimes go to another store to get something I need.
A week or two ago none, and I do mean none, of the yogurt there felt cold. It all felt room temp or warmer and I am not buying warm dairy products.
As for the manager I feel for him in some ways, but had they cleaned up their act at the store I wouldn't have had to do what I did. If nothing improves now, it's a letter to corporate.

I wish it was canvas and not nylon, but at $11 for an $80 jacket, I can live with it. And it should be fine for the two weeks of winter we have in Florida. And it is a nice design on the back, I'll give 'em that.
And the Steve Miller Joker t-shirt it quite nice but the Maroon 5 one that I got was er is one of the thin type of t's. Like the Coke (Coke/American Idol/London/Paris T's) - not like the Hanes for the freebie Coke Zero college ones.
But I've boxed those up for now as a friend gave me big bag of his old shirts. So even with the fact that I'll be doing the 'wear and toss' when I get to Russia, I'm still burried in clothes.

If it does reach the point of the letter. Hopefully, they won't just forward the email to the manager so he can follow up on it. Maybe if it goes to the district manager, that could have a better effect. OH well, hopefully, things get some what resolved.

A skunk and cat went at it in my driveway last night. :hide:
Luckily, the skunk didn't spray.
The neighbor accross the street was shining a flashlight on them in my driveway and they didn't run away when a friend pulled up into my driveway. My friend called me to tell me they couldn't/wouldn't get out of the car until they were gone. You could here to two animals screetching and hissing at one another.
Animal drama! :whee:

Wet morning :rain:
Scored $9 tickets to NHL hockey games and will be going to 5 games yet this year.
Birthday party afternoon and evening. I took sliced baggets and three cheese dip spreads I made, as well as corn tortia chips and a home made mexican dip. Everyone seemed to like them.
Lots of food. I had some wines and then switched to a ice water and diet caffeen free soda so I could drive home.
:sadbye: Pillows are calling me. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Can't wait! I won LiveNation tix from a BudLight contest and we are going to see Maroon5 and Train in two weeks. They are playing at an outdoor pavilion in Houston. You sit in lawn chairs under the stars. There is reserved seating, but my prize was for the lawn, which is fine by me!

Yes - good weekend for sports around these parts.
I would  to stay home from work today but if I did that I don't think I would get much done around here so I may as well go to the office.
