Ive gotten this with both SS and OO, and turned down the opportunity, I'd personally rather not have some company tracking my online moves. LOL!
Thanks for your opinion, I was kind of feeling the same way lol

damn surveyspot is so sneaky..... i just completed two very lengthy surveys and was about to take my screenshot of the final page (because we all know they LOVE to block us out at the end of the survey and tell us that we are disqualified)..... well, the site redirected faster than i could take the screenshot and BAM! there i am staring at a disqualification page with no insurance. UGH!

Survey Spot sucks, as I have never seen so many surveys that have prize entries. 48 out of 50 surveys with no point value at all. I for one don't do surveys for worthless prize entries and for the life of me don't know why anybody else would lets these scammers get away without paying for the surveys. Must be some really stupid people to do these for free when Survey Spot is getting paid for them. I have seen the same surveys on other sites paying $4.00 for 45 minutes but they are getting them done for free.
Wise up people stop doing the worthless prize entry surveys. Which nobody knows for sure if they are paying the prize at all.

Will it state if a survey has product testing? I never get any surveys from that that indicate it, am I doing something wrong? I've been a member for years.

Nope. You find out after going thru the surveys. Usually you can get a feeling of a possible PT due to nature on the questions.

i second you both and add that i've always come across PTs just from the description of the survey itself. if i get the survey code (ORD-xxx-xxx-xxx or whatever it looks like) and then a length of less than 10 minutes to complete, i perk up and chances are good it's a screener to participate in a study or PT.

That really sucks. Come to think of it, I actually end up not doing most of they surveys I keep due to a lack of time. I have $47 with them, but its been in the 40s for about a year now. But I figure I would wait to cash out when I want to quit them

there are some companies i leave in there all year then cash out for the holidays and for extra winter money

IMO, it's never a good idea to let your money accumulate too high with any survey company, especially SurveySpot, and any of the other panels that their parent company SSI operates. They are notorious for disabling accounts, and keeping the money you have accumulated, with no recourse. They often wait until you attempt to cash out, and then claim you have violated their terms, and refuse to give you any further information. Check out their Facebook page, or do a search, and you will see how many people they do this to. It seems they have been doing this more & more frequently over the past year or two, even to long term members.

They terminated my accounts with both SurveySpot and Opinion Outpost, claiming I had violated their terms. I asked what terms I had violated and, much to my surprise, someone wrote back saying that I had one account with OO, but two accounts with SS. This was a surprise to me, since I've only ever had one account with each company. Then it dawned on me that at one point a year or two ago, I was having problems cashing out with PayPal, so I changed my e-mail address with SS. Once the surveys started coming to that account, I no longer had problems with PayPal.
I wrote to the account manager and explained the situation. She wrote back within a day saying that I was correct and that the problem stemmed from an error in their system that flagged my account and others. Both accounts have been reinstated. Fortunately, I cashed out a couple of weeks before they were terminated, so I don't have a problem trying to get them to reinstate any points. If anyone switched e-mail addresses with either company and then had the account terminated after SSI bought OO, you might want to try contacting them.

I have a definite TD for SS tonight!! I completed ORD-49442-0RLJ all the way through, and got the dreaded "blank screen." Didn't know what else to do, so I hit refresh and got the flag  Went back to my account to see what the status was...and guess what? I was rewarded a whole sweeps entry

Way longer than the 45 minutes they claimed. Took 90 minutes and at the end I got a server error and I wasn't awarded the points... contacted customer service and told them about it but they didn't care, thus I didn't get the points...
