Hello,

Officially creating an "Official SurveySpot" thread. I see numerous threads about SS everyday and thought I might as well start an official one.

Link to join SurveySpot: http://www.surveyspot.com/

I personally have been a member there since early March and have already made more than $40 ($32 cashed out, $8 in acct and more waiting to be added to my account)

Got into a SP just now about "tv shows and movies". That was the title (didnt catch a number). You take a screener, and if you qualify, you download software called "PreCast". You watch unreleased movies, tv shows, and commercials. Then take a survey on it.

Anybody else who ran unto this one, PM me with the survey number and i'll edit this post.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, that error message means that your address listed does not match the one on your paypal. Change one of them so they both match, and it will go through. The same thing used to happen to me, but I realized my paypal had my old address on it, and then it instantly worked once changed. I would suggest maybe changing both and giving it a few days if they are the same? I originally emailed SS and they said that was the cause of that specific error code, so if yours is the same, idk.

Also to note, SS has been EXTREMELY buggy the past few days. It even started to send invites to an old email address I used to use on there before I changed it on the site to the current one. Also, half the time I click on 'take surveys', it doesn't record in my history of me taking them (so I have to check each time, as I'm not wasting my time for it to not show up at all).

How the mighty has fallen. I don't know whether to blame the survey companies or the people who do surveys for free. Actually that is a no-brainer. If I was a marketing research company, I would want to keep the most profits, therefore finding the cheapest help. I only hope that it is folks who can't earn more than that and really need to make $1/hr or so that are actually doing it.

I'm picky and have earned over $2600 so far this year doing surveys. If I was not picky, that number would be much higher, but I would have lost out on a lot of family time and free time (I'd rather watch tv than do a cheap survey - and, no, you really can't do both at the same time).

Sorry for the vent. :)

i try to be picky as well
i think SS saw what i
Isay is doing to their panelists and jumped on the band wagon.the number of people doing surveys has double since the economy took a dump.and foks are desperate for money these days. companies are taking advantage of that.
i for one never do surveys for less than .50 per 5 minutes of my time.
that still is low ,but i do like still taking surveys .i think to many people are sucked in but the idea they might win a sweeps for a bunch of money.i wonder if they realize the odds of winning are about the same as winning the state lottery.

Leads to an invoke for 1500 points.

I sat threw the 90 minutes of it, got to the end where the moderator thanked everyone and gave a link to complete the invoke. I click the damn thing and get flagged for a invalid link.

When i look on my survey history it says started but not completed. I also notice i can still do the invoke so i decided to do it AGAIN from start to finish. Then i get the same invalid link crap at the end. I also wanted to add that when i did the invoke again i was seeing my answers from the first time so they are obviously using the information i submitted. I sent a message to SS support to see if they can help... but honestly i am irritated of these last minute issues with surveys / invokes.

That's exactly what happened to me! I emailed them. Im getting really annoyed with SS lately. If anyone has paypal paying survey sites that are better...i'd love a PM. I checked the survey discussion but found it overwhelming. So many sites!! I think its time to make a switch.

PM sent, will try to think of some more later when I can get to my google docs.

On another note, did anyone notice that you can now go back to a survey via the dashboard if you had a problem with it or it is incomplete. I always disliked Surveyspot's lack of this. I was happily suprised to see if appear over the past couple days.

I will get around to sending you a PM of ones i have been using for awhile. The truth is over the 2+ years i have been doing these survey sites i have yet to really find a "good" site, but a couple of them are decent. As for the invoke the part that makes me mad is they are using the information we submitted over the coarse of an hour, and i am guessing SS will deny us credit because the invoke was incomplete from the invalid link at the end.

I was in the same Invoke this morning and had the same resulting invalid link and have the same status in my history file. It's a sad thing to spend time & effort only to be hit with a bad result. We'll see what SS has to say about it. This could be the make or break deal for me to decide to continue with SS or not.

It's really a shame, SS used to be my very favorite survey site but that was some time ago.

I had the same issue and also went back into the link. I send an email to invoke and to surveyspot. Still haven't heard from survey spot. I was told by invoke that not being able to complete the survey wouldn't effect my payment and for any fulfillment issues to contact surveyspot. Surveyspot doesn't show the survey as being completed, which is probably going to be a problem.

I just got an email back from SS after 5 days. It looks like i got the cookie cutter response with no real acknowledgment that the invoke had a invalid link.

Please note that diaries, interactive surveys, focus groups and studies consisting of several callbacks or parts, are run on a system whereby the points that you have been rewarded have to be manually uploaded. We advise that this takes approximately 6 weeks.

Please rest assured that if you completed the survey or all survey parts, the points will be added to your account.

I like this new scheme SS is doing. I noticed lately a few surveys labeled as 0 minutes for 50 points so you can't actually see the length of them. They are probably doing this to combat those of us that avoid the $1 per hour rates they like to give out. SS is the new sweat shop factory.

I just did survey ORD-26498-HRFB which was for 400 points and 1200 minutes (!). When the survey started, it said it would only take 30 minutes and after I took the entire survey, it gave me the page that said:

"Thank you for your interest in participating in our surveys. Unfortunately we are unable to record your participation in this survey due to one or more of the following reasons:
You or someone else using the same computer has already participated in this survey.
The country under which you are registered does not match the location of the computer you are currently using.
Sometimes, if interviews are rushed through they can't be used and you may not be eligible for the survey reward.
Our security system detected that someone using this computer engaged in irregular activity."

I didnt rush or anything like that, in fact it took longer than 30 minutes as I was doing paperwork at the same time.

Just a heads up fpr that survey. Its about cellphones btw

How do you get your points out of them in this instance? Kiss them goodbye? :(

I have a question regarding this survey. It was worth 350 points which i was credited (HU if you want to do it also). It was about banking and at the end it said i have earned a $10 incentive, then it asked if i would answer a few more questions for $15 total incentive... which i did. It said 3-4 weeks for delivery but it never asked for an address or email. Is this kind of odd since SS is a point based system or do you think they will just credit with 1500 points? First time i ever seen a survey like this.

GTM surveys are the worst by far. Taking surveys on many sites i have become familiar with the GTM survey layout so i just exit out if i see it. I joined their site a few weeks ago because i was bored. I get so much spam from them, about 10 surveys in my inbox per day. You spend 20-30 minutes on a survey and at the end they are like "yes we know you really completed the survey, but we are going to DQ you... but here is another survey to try enjoy!".

I posted a similar problem a few times, they are hiding the survey duration for me on many surveys. If they are starting to do it with rewards they are probably getting pissed off that we skip the 50 point per 25 minute surveys.

"Some of our projects, including the one that you have mentioned in your query, are run on a system whereby the points that you have been rewarded have to be manually uploaded.

I see a lot of Survey Spot surveys on the Opinion Outpost site. I had so much trouble with working very long surveys and when you go to submit them they disqualify you or give a technical error. I would also cashout with Paypal and the money wouldn't go in my account. It took weeks to get my money. The technical service is virtually non-existent it takes weeks for an answer. Even if you call them. I don't need this headache so I gave them up.:vomit: Good luck with this survey company. They get the double thumbs down from me.

I just finished up a Virgin Mobile survey which offered a $25 follow-up. I said I was interested and got this:

We're sorry, we’ve reached the number of interviews needed for this survey.
help
Thank you for taking part in this survey!

We received all the responses we needed for this particular study. If there were points attached to this survey you will not receive them because the survey was not completed. However, since we appreciate your willingness to participate in this study you will be rewarded with an entry in our quarterly prize draw!

There are more SurveySpot survey opportunities available for you. The more surveys you participate in, the more entries you will earn into our quarterly prize draw!

Since it was a random survey, I don't have the survey no., etc. to complain to SS about it!

It turns out that you were screened out of this particular survey. But please don't take it personally! Screen-outs are a normal part of the market research process. I took this survey about 9 weeks ago and was told at the end of the survey there was an additional $15 incentive. I have not gotten this credited to my account. I have sent 3 support tickets regarding this. The most recent response i gotten was "the project manager will investigate this". It has been a week and still no response... no points.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but chances are, they will steal your money, and never give you a true explanation of your "violation". They did this to me after many years of doing surveys for them. A web search will show you they do this to a LOT of people. Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones, and will be reinstated. I know there are many people who like SurveySpot, IMO, they and their parent company SSI are very shady.

My paypal option hasn't hasn't worked since I posted many days ago after at least 50 attempts. No response to the msg I left either. I decided to cash out out for something else and got the webshop voucher #, and now that won't work for Amazon. Tells me to try again in 72 hrs. Could someone please explain this? Am I doing something wrong or what? tia

cashed out a few days ago without any problem ,but they havent posted or sent me any invites since .
they certainly have their issues .it seems like last year we all had problems with them around the holidays as well.
you would think they would prepare better for the holiday season.

I think they are circling the drain...

They've been horrible for quite some time.

ORD-34945-Q1WR took less than 10 mins. Originally said it was worth 50 points, however, if you qualify (I made it to the end) its for a bulletin board for a few days for $150.

I just completed a survey and cashed out with Paypal no problem. Showed up in my Paypal account within 10 minutes or so. (We won't talk about how darn long it took me to get to the cashing out point...) So it's working for now.

I was wondering when we would receive payment as well.I got the following email from one of the moderators for the study:

Hello,

There was an error in the system of a third party vender we use to handle the mailing of compensation checks. The problem has been resolved. If you haven’t already received your compensation, we apologize. Your check will be processed and sent out by the end of day today.

Thank you, and again I apologize for the late compensation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if for some reason there are still any issues in regards to this.

Best,

Dave

For some reason a lot of people have to wait 72 hours to actually redeem the Amazon GC...it means your account has been flagged or something, I don't know. This has happened to me like six times, and I just wait exactly 72 hours and I'm able to redeem. I used to try earlier then the 72, but it was useless.

Check your SS account...
I got points in my Opinion Outpost account tonight, I don't recognize the survey number but I believe it's from the tablet project (OO routed to SS) because it's the same amount I was expecting from Kelton.

I believe that I received the 20,0000points for this study in my SS account if that's what was credited to my account today. I could have swore that the compensation for the 3 week study was $250.00 and not $200.00. Maybe I'm wrong. Would you happen to remember?:

Has anyone had any problems logging in? I haven't logged in for a few months and it says their is no account with my email address. Any ideas? I sent them a message, but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks in advance!

sounds like your account was deactivated..i would suggest trying to start a new account with the same e-mail and see if they let you register with it...they aren't that great in the way of responding to e-mails promptly or very well either

I cashed out the other day with no problems. Guess that you should keep trying or send the never ending emails to get a responce...
