looking into gettting some good car wax for my car, i want the wax job to last for as long as possible, i know some of the waxes can cost $100, but i just want something that will do the job and reasonable priced, does anybody have any recommendations? and how long should a good car waxing last? btw...my car stays outside, no garage

I would go with a sealant from Four Star (UPP) or Klasse. Some people are big fans of Zaino, but I really don't care for their stuff.

Get some Meguire's NXT Tech Wax. I've got a black car and after washing and waxing w/ the NXT Tech, I could eat off it.

Old thread, but I'd like to give a +1 to Klasse. Its good stuff, cheap, and easy to use.
nXt has also been great in my experience.

With regular washings, either should last till fall. Make sure you read at www.autopia.org to properly detail your car. This isn't as simple as wash then wax, especially if your car isn't newer.

ive had nothing but bad experiences with meguires and other cheap waxes. I have a friend who details who swears by a wax called collinite. He uses their fleetwax #885 http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/producte/10001/-1/10001/114228?ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=114228
He waxes his grand cherokee with it twice a year and it shines like nothing else ive seen. It looks like a mirror. Its heavy duty and doesnt wear off

Collinite is a decent wax. Not great, but better than pepboys meguiars.

I'm a big Zaino fan. Whatever you use, be sure to clay your paint before you wax!
