I used the $3 of $10 Central Market coupon and bought some bruschetta, oranges and chicken. Now, that I have my $5.00 cat, I'll go back and stock up on oranges and stock up and stock up and stock up!! ISave coupon machine prints a coupon for betty crocker cake mix for .49. Frosting is 1.99. There's a coupon for $1.00 off when you buy one of each... use a doubler and the cost is just .48 for cake mix and frosting. Good deal!

He either misread it or got a different coupon, because the deal is advertised right inside the wraparound on the ad. Unless there is a weird regional thing going on.

Sweeter deal than I thought on the Ragu: It's the big 45-oz. plastic jars that are included in the Unilever deal, not the 26-oz. jars as pictured!

i did this deal a few times, except i added a $1 off 2 printable couon and used a doubler, so one brick was FREE and the other was only $1 :woot: we love free stuff. I don't know the answer to that, but recyclebank has a Big Y $10 off $60 for 100 pts. It is a "bricks" so can print twice with unique codes. Hurry and earn your points as this month recyclebank is celebrating Earth "month" and you can earn a LOT of points - probably ends in the next couple days if it for the month of April...not sure.

There are a lot of gas points incentives in my flyer, so I will be using it all! Get those gas cents while you can!!!

I haven't had a scanning problem, but they do need managers approval because they are over the $8 limit (at least at the store I use).

I haven'ttried, but I imagine not or if you do the person at the register their will still have to ring it to register it.

As for the managers approval I never have problems. I usually put the gift card I am buying in that order in my pocket before they get there and I use the cards on the swipy thing so they don't dsee what I am paying with.

Of course I am in the military and go in uniform...I find that no one will argue with me or accuse me when I am in uniform as I'm not in a military town.

I found out that you can buy prepaid cards at the self checkout. You just scan it and it rings up for $54.95. Also, if the cashier types in the numbers for the catalina instead of scanning it, it does not require approval.

I had a nice surprise savings tonight at the Chopper. I went in to do a quick trip with 6 triple coupons and of course planned on doing 2 transactions so that I could use all the triplers. I had a list of possibilities but wasn't sure how I was going to use all of them. I had 2 Grande tortilla chips $1.00 off 2 packages coupons. In the chip aisle, I was pleased to see the chips were on sale for 2 for $5. All right after the tripler the chips would be $1.00 each bag. Good enough deal for me. But wait, there was a coupon on each bag for buy 2 bags of chips and get $1.50 off hamburg. Hmmm, so off to the meat I went and lo and behold.. the 93% hamburg was on sale for $3.99 a pound but wait...there's a mark down coupon on the package! The total cost of the meat was $15 for the package with a $5.00 mark down coupon! Okay!! So, I got 2 bags of Grande tostitos and an almost 4 lb package of 93% hamburg for $8.50 with 2 more coupons that don't expire til June on $1.50 off hamburg with the purchase of 2 bags of Grande tostitos. Unfortuantely, it took a little time at the register as the $1.50 coupon gave the cashier a problem and he tried to tell me I couldn't use it because I had used the other Tostito coupon but I asked him to call someone over to check it out and the manager agreed that both coupons could be used and did an override. Course the bonus part too was that the cost of the meat automatically put me to the $15 threshhold for using 3 triplers..no worries there. I also got a free can of Pam and a free package of blonde oreo's - using triplers. And lastly - what I really went in for was Weight Watcher fudgsicles are B1G1F and using a $1.00 off 2 coupon with a tripler - two boxes of weight watcher fudgsicles cost just $2.78!
