I was just on the mIRC forums and they have a nice post delete feature. If you start a thread (accidently), you can edit your first post and delete it as long as no one else has replied to it. Thus, terminating the thread or your last post to another thread.

Also, after a specified amount of time or a reply from someone else a poster cannot edit a previous post

I would hate that part. I posted on another board (*gasp* I know - other??) and had a regret about something I said. I went to edit it and couldn't. I hate that.

:iagree: That part would not be good. But I do like the first part of the OP's idea. Deleting your own thread, so long as there are no replies, sounds good to me!

there is usually a mod online (barring late night). mod alert your post with "delete" and it'll be taken care of reasonably fast.

^^^ i agree. there's 15 of us and mod alerts are closed in pretty decent time.

posters should be able to edit their own post no matter how long of time..afterall, it's your post. i.e. offering a one time coupon code...you can always go back and add *gone* so others will know it's no longer available.
