In my experience about 2 weeks to one month. Sign up a few days before you are going (at least) because a lot of them don't send the coupons right away. They come in a day or two.

Thanks for the info- I love these email clubs! I have been on the bennigan's mail list for a while and they send coupons all the time, about 2 a month!! I also have been signed up with Chili's for a long time and have NEVER received anything from them. One other that has always been pretty good is Sam Selzter's Steakhouse, but they are only in Florida (Tampa Bay area). Thanks again!!

You should go create an e-mail account at one of the freebie mail sites (Yahoo, Gmail, etc.) and use that when you sign up. Everybody should have a "junk" e-mail account. Then, use that e-mail address whenever you sign up for things like this. You can go there periodically and check for deals when you feel like it, but won't get flooded with junk e-mail at your regular account. And the e-mail address is the only thing that you really need to worry about for these offers ... the accuracy of the other information isn't really enforced, so you can fill it out correctly with whatever you're comfortable with, but make up the rest. (Note that they may have some restrictions that won't let you enter garbage like letters in a number field ... and I'd also recommend not using a completely bogus name like Joe Blow, because the name is sometimes printed on the coupons.)

Just to add to this growing list, I ate at the TGI Friday's location in Antioch, TN and they have a promotion going where you buy a $25 gift card (which can be used immediately) and you receive an additional $5 gift card for "Bonus Bites." The catch is that the Bonus Bites can only be used between July 1 and August 31. However, dinner for 2 is $25+, so you may as well get the Bonus Bites. I'm sure they can be stacked, as I haven't seen anything saying otherwise.
