I used that site about 4 years ago when he signed up at the webhost I worked for to get hosting for it. Once his site was suspended by our abuse department for overloading SQL he disabled my account on the website, blamed me for his site being suspended etc.

I've been using DVDSpot for a few years now and really like it. The database is much more complete than when I joined and is updated much faster with new releases. It's hard to beat, especially for the price. :-)

My DVDSpot page is linked in my sig if anyone wants to check out a sample of what you can do with it.

(bumping old thread) Site is going down on October 15

On Wednesday October 15th DVDSpot will be closed permanently. This decision was made to allow us to focus on other great web properties. We sincerely appreciate everyone's contribution to the DVDSpot community and hope you enjoyed the free services it provided. We understand many people will not want to lose their personal collection data, so we remind you that you can export that data to file by going to Membership Tools while logged in and clicking the Export to File button. This will create a file with all movies in your Owned and Watched lists. Also keep in mind the editor system for approving DVD additions and edits has been disabled, so no new or edited DVDs will be added.

Yeah, looks nice, maybe I'll try it out. Currently I use Movienizer (http://www.movienizer.com/). It has great search tools like searching by different categories - name, genre, country, year, rating etc., alphabetical search, quick search. Plus movies and persons are two different categories, which I find to be a more user-friendly approach.

Maybe if you would have clicked the link for it or actually read this thread you would have found that THE SITE HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR OVER 6 MONTHS!!! It doesnt even load if you click on it.

Try again.
