I don't know much about video cameras, but a quick froogle search resulted with this (http://www.slrexpress.com/proddetail.php?prod=1CA1191B001). I can't attest to the reputability of slrexpress, but their site seems pretty legit.

That looks like an awesome camera. If you do a search the lowest range from reputable sellers seems to be the low 3000s. You see some questionable dealers in the 2500 range and then pure slime in the 1500 range.
You might want to see if you can get a deal at CC. CC has it 3400 or so. However CC has been floating tons of coupons for various percent off like 10% over 250. They also have cashback through MS search live. If you can combine the two it might come out pretty low.

Ok try this J&R has it 3299 and MS LIVE claims to give you 12 percent cash back if you
open a cashback account and click through before buying.

Im assuming that 3299 is BEFORE any cashback discount. Ive never seen a merchant
actually list that. Also says free shipping. However its out of stock there and a lot of places so youll have to wait and hope the price doesnt go up.
Other less likely strategies --- DELL has it at the same cost as CC. Sometimes they have 15% off E&A coupons. I saw a code for 15 percent off listed at a site that ironically expired today. At the moment I dont see many coupons at all. You usually see a fair amount on Ebay. Slick Deals has a coupon forum too.

Jr.com let me buy it while it was out of stock.... Hopefully it's not on back order for months....
If this works out it was a pretty good deal since that's around the price they sell on ebay used if I get the cash back.

I dont see why you shouldnt unless you did something wrong like you forgot to click through or something like that.
I did the Ebay cashback thing and I got notices after a certain time of course, each step of the way for my cashback and now Im just waiting for the cash to transferred to Paypal so I can move it to my account.

Too late now. Cashback was 12% then it briefly shot up to 15% but now its I think 6% for J&R. You never know though it may shoot up again for Xmas or Halloween.
