Converse was bought by Nike a few years ago and I gotta say... the prices have gone up!!! So your price would be $38.25. Still not the same price they were 5 or 6 years ago though!!!! (let's not even discuss the 70's okay?!!!)

Hope that helps. I'll keep looking for a better deal on those as I'm a Converse freak and have like 8 pairs of them!

Thanks man. Yeah i go in an out of shoes. I own a pair of converse now but they are a bit old. However they were a gift. I bought some in like 2001 and i could swear they were $25 bux, and i got black laces and shoe cleaner free.

BTW i did not know nike bought converse out. I have been looking around the net myself a bit and your price is the cheapest ive seen. Everyone seems to have them for about $45. Only thing i did notice though is shipping is not free.

Yeah seems like $40 is the cheapest so far. Maybe i will just wait closer til the holidays and try to catch em on a sale somewhere.

You can catch a sale if you look hard enough, and if you can live with other colors, Marshalls, A.J. Wright, T.J. Maxx and similar discount stores usually sell Chuck Taylors for the max price of 19.99 a pair. The converse store in the outlet mall here sells various colors of converse 2 pairs for 35$, definitely a deal there if you can live with random colors.

I buy mine at the local swap meet, they're usually $25-$30. Waaaay cheaper than the mall.
