I'm looking for some used skis with bindings and really have no clue where to start. I'm male, 5'11, 180 lbs, and probably an intermediate skier. I can do blacks (in the east at least) but like to stay in control by turning a lot (parallel, not wedge turning) and not going extremely fast. Guess I need a ski with a good turn radius and can carve easily so I don't go flying down the mountain b/c that's really not my style.
Anyways, found this site called Galactic Snow Sports (http://galacticsnowsports.com/winterused-ski-adult-170-179.html). Don't really know much about it but they are offering some super cheap deals on skis and bindings. So cheap I'm kind of skeptical so I decided to ask you guys. If anybody can help me out with this merchant or point me in the direction of the right kind of skis, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
Oh, forgot to mention I'll be working at a resort in Montana this winter. Should I wait to get up there and see if I can find a deal on last year's models? I'll be heading up there at the end of November.

You may want to head over to www.epicski.com, which is a forum for skiers and gear nuts. They will all tell you to get fitted for a good pair of boots first and worry about skis later. The best deals for skis are generally on ebay and on some of the sites mentioned above. My advice is to get boots, have them properly fitted (for most of us this is a must) and then demo a bunch of skis when you get to the mountain. Everyone has a different preference as to the ski dampness, carving ability, length, stiffness and width. It also makes a difference where you are skiing. If you are skiing in powder a wider ski is preferable. If the snow is icy, a carving ski would be better. Hope this helps:cool:
