Lots of times people post Freebies and it happens to link to a site that SH has censored.
I'm not sayign delete the censor, but I'm saying change what it replaces....
It replaces the domain to www.slickdeals.net/
so if it was www.censoredexample.com/examplelink
it would be www.slickdeals.net/examplelink
the confuses lots of people. Can't it be changed to something like **censored site**/example link
It doesn't affet me much but it affects lots of noobs and people who just havent seen SD censor a post

And that's why it;s been implimented, due to some of the new people who post their referral links & leave.
Personally, I think it's find that way. It makes you realize pretty quickly that we, SlickDeals.net, are on to you & know how to get away with you, a spammer, not being able to post your referral link.

Yea I'm not saying to allow them to post this, I'm just saying that what it censors with (www.slickdeals.net) is very confusing

Honestly, I get a chuckle sometimes when the spammers try their hardest to get around the censors. Oh, it's just too funny at times. Then they usually write something like - "This site won't let me post the link, so PM me!" Ha! Yeah, right, Cya! Buh-Bye
The only 2 that I have seen in the Freebie section is for Greenz@p and a poker site. And the post can usually tell you what site's being censored.
I really don't think it's confusing, just letting people know that that site isn't allowed & when you post it, it just goes back here, rather than some other random site.

Since it duznt cover the whole site only the domain I check google for the rest of the link just to see what it's censoring. And then I send a mod alert specifying the site it's censoring...but there arent many that i figure out

I'm slightly confused by what your stating/Asking, but if you see a post with a link of:
http://www.slickdeals.net/referral-name
or something like that, just Mod Alert it please, so that we can get rid of it & keep the forums spam free.

lets say the link looked like www.slickdeals.net/abdbpjrand
I was saying that b4 I mod alert I like doing a google search for the abdbpjrand and then send that it censored actualsite.com/abdbpjrand in the mod alert

I suggest you just mod alert it, regardless of what the link is suppose to go to:
"Censored Site being posted" is what I would put in the Mod Alert box.

See you don't have the hassle of sending mod alerts in the freebie forum.
So people like me have it hard we have to send mod alerts AND say why we're sending it. I'd like to downgrade my position to a mod. :lmao: :lmao:
