Even though the wonderful people of the Drugstore Forum have decided not to participate in Black Friday this year, I know people are still going to be looking for their ads (which you won't find in the BF forum). So I'll keep a listing here.

Looks like somebody else posted it (not in the Black Friday forum), and they combined the threads. I've fixed the link.

Thanks OP - subscribed.

Yeah, they always forget to turn on rep in the BF forum. Not sure why. Somebody always ends up having to go to the Site Issues/Suggestions board and post the problem there.

Whatever, though. I'm not in it for the reps, I'm in it for the deals.

Its not an official BF AD - its the Toys R Us Big Book - Valid dates are 10/26 - 11/22. And yes, BF is the friday after Thanksgiving. Many sites are posting this TRU ad as a BF ad, but its really not. - hope that helps a bit.

I guess all of the major retailers are in locked down mode with their bf ads this year. Last year by this time a lot of ads were leaked already.

not sure about that.. judging by the recent story on cnnmoney.com "Judging from what appears to be a leaked ad for day-after-Thanksgiving sales, major stores will tempt shoppers - whose help is desperately needed to bolster the economy - with huge discounts."

So I would assume many stores are trying to determine how bad their current financial state is before deciding on how deep to discount items. Read another article on CNN "Wal-Mart Stores Inc., with its emphasis on low prices and improved merchandise, is stealing market share from competitors and is well-positioned for the holiday season"

With all that said, we should see some huge discounts on BF.

Willing to do that in the South Eastern MA / Northern RI area if anyone wants to combine efforts... not sure what stores yet.

I was at the Swansea Mall Sears last BF & got a 46" Sharp 1080p there. Store was pretty much empty at 6am-ish. Everyone was at CircuitCity or Bestbuy in Seekonk. I left the CircuitCity in Seekonk after not getting the TV there & got it price matched at this Sears. No line. Went to a sales associate, asked if they would price match, and out in 5 minutes.

I don't know if I'll be out this BF, but will know once it gets closer.

$99 may not be that far awayy for an iPhone. If not at BF then soon after judging from this article by Tony Smith

]...]
The Jesus phone costs carriers a diabolic $666 on average, one Wall Street analyst has claimed. That figure brings Apple enough margin to hack prices and "take over the smartphone market".

So forecasts Needham & Co. analyst Charlie Wolf. “Our analysis indicates that the average price of an iPhone was $666 in the fourth quarter with close to a 50 per cent gross margin," a number of websites report.

That margin has filled Apple's coffers, making for what Wolf called an "astonishing increase in Apple’s revenues".

"Apple’s non-GAAP revenues were 48 per cent higher, its gross profits were 66 per cent higher and its net income was 114 per cent higher than the corresponding GAAP metrics," he said.

Kerching.

All of which allows Jobs and Co. to cut the cost of the iPhone 3G to carriers, who, in turn, can lower subsidised prices - perhaps to no more than $99 (£63) in the US.

Here in the UK, it's already available for nowt but a £45-a-month airtime subscription, though if you pay less, the handset's price tag rises to £99 ($155). If Apple cut its prices, O2 could give the thing away on any tariff.

ATT prices the phone at $199 (£127), so it's subsidising the phone to the tune of $467 (£298) if Wolf's $666 calculation is correct.

All this means "Apple has considerable flexibility to reduce the price of the phone in tandem with its subsidized price," said Wolf. "If Apple were to pursue this strategy, the iPhone could effectively take over the smartphone market."

Outselling RIM is only the start, it seems.

If for any reason anyone needs any of the black friday ads from last year send me a pm with what store you looking for, not sure why anyone would or why I kept them but I did!

Has anyone saved some of the old links from last year's Black Friday ads companies, like WM or BB, were using to view their ads online? I'm wondering if maybe they still use the same one for each year.

I know it's 6 pages long, but read the thread before you ask a question that's answered in the same thread. It only took me 5 minutes to get to page 3 and find this answer.

I almost gave the same answer you did, but then I realized that shelly was asking for the links (URLs) of last year's ads, not the ads themselves. I think she's hoping to catch a store who's posted theirs to their website early.

dasteve, on the other hand, was offering actual scans (most likely saved to his hard drive). So, yeah, they're close, but still very different things.

After reviewing the play, it would appear that I did misread shelly's original post and apologize for doing so. Benjie will not be charged a time-out.

However, dasteve may be a good person to check with.

Repped Benjie for challenging the ruling on the field and for his awesome signature.

Hang around enough, and you'll probably get your hands on it. I hear there's a bay full of pirates where they show up all the time, too.

I always recommend that everybody who's interested in an ad saves the PDF on their computer, just in case.

circuit city's ad was finalized and sent to printing on friday.... should see it online soon.

A list of items to be pulled off the sales floor was sent to stores on friday to ensure when the ad leaks people don't buy products in hopes of returning for a price match but only store directors had access to the list of items. Hoepfully Monday when the presses begin the printing process someone will nab one and scan it.

What does this post entitle? I don't have any reason to suck up to anyone. Especially on a message board.

I found this link for Toys R us http://www.black-friday.net/bf/toys-r-us-big-toy-book-black-friday.html

The "Big Book" is not the BF ad--a lot of those things are regular prices. This was released just under an hour ago. These are some of the BF doorbusters TRU will offer:

Toys “R” Us Black Friday door-buster deals this year include:

* Free Play Station 2 Deal – 6 FREE Games, FREE “21″ DVD and Free Play Station 2 DVD Remote with the purchase of the Play Station 2 System

*Free $50 Toys“R”Us Gift Card with the purchase of a Black 16GB iPod nano

*Free Nintendo DS accessory with the purchase of Nintendo DS Brain Age Bundle or Nintendo Super Mario Bros. Bundle DS

*More than 80 percent off Xbox 360 Wired Guitar Hero Game Controller

*60 percent off TOYMAX EyeClops from Jakks Pacific

* 60 percent off Disney High School Musical 2 Figures 3-Pack

* More than 50 percent off Littlest Pet Shop VIP Plush Pets from Hasbro

*Up to 50 percent off Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Bundle for Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360

Sorry- my first post and it's a question that maybe has an obvious answer.
I've tried to print out the spreadsheet with no luck. It printed like a breakdown/only one column per page-went thru tons of paper.......how do you print this out? Thanks so much! What a tremendous amount of work for all our benefit!

It depends what program you're using to view/print it through.

Generally speaking, look for either page setup or print options (where you can set the print area).

Through excel, you can either resize the columns, or copy paste it into word as a picture, then fumble around with the size there.

I've had a couple people request that kind of thing, so I've added a new feature. An * next to the name of the store means that they've been added within the past 48 hours (approximately). They're on the left hand side, so they should be easy to pick out.

It's in the Wiki, I believe.

Edit: Okay, it's in the post after the Wiki. I think it's because the members posted it in the drug-store forum, and didn't really want it to be part of the BF forum on it's own. Not completely sure, but you can still get to it, so don't guess it really matters :dontknow: :)

Instant cashback? That's the first I've heard of such a thing in relation to eBay.

You can now receive instant cashback into your paypal account. MSFT is testing this out, there have been a bunch of users (check threads) that it has worked for. But there are a lot of users that it hasn't work for either. So once this is the new standard, live.com cashback will be that much better than black friday.
