Black Friday 2008 Strike Teams

This all started with thekevmaster a few years back, and others have stepped in to take up the task since then. Looks like this year I'll start the thread, but all the real action happens in the wiki. Check there for people in your area.

What's a BF Strike Team?
The idea is this: you want doorbusters from 4 different stores in your area, but you know there's no way you can get to all 4 in time to get all your stuff. So what does an enterprising SDer do? He teams up with other SDers from his town! They decide what they want from where, and each goes to a single store and grabs everything from that store that anyone on the team wants. They meet up later to trade and settle up the money issue, and everybody gets what he or she wants, while only having to go to one store!

EDIT: Changed "Assault Teams" to "Strike Teams." There are already too many stories of BF violence every year. There's no need for us to be accused of contributing to it. :lol:

Check out last year's wiki for an idea of how this works. (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=627600) There's no requirement to keep it the same, though. Any better ideas are certainly welcome.

Please include your state, city or major metropolitan area, stores/products, and possibly your team name. Preferably color-coded. This will make it easier to sort and understand.

We're not allowed to purchase anything until the evening (by then, everything will have sold out), so we might as well make it worthwhile for our SD friends. I'm not going to tell you what store we're in, nor will I tell you who we are, or what department. We afterall, do value our jobs. You can find us by asking sales people or cashiers about the item you want and SD. If we have any left, we'll take care of you. EDIT: Scratch that entire thing. Riverhead is usually the quietest place on the Island to go.......less people.
I attempted Garden City area stores one BF when in college at CW Post and hated it with a passion. If any Long Islanders want to travel east hit me with a PM as I'm sure this thread is going to start getting bogged down.

Garden City/Westbury area stores are nuts for doorbusters. Macy's is okay at 6am. Microcenter and BB lines usually start the day before. Not sure about CC since the mall it is in has its own policy regarding overnight lines.

Unless they changed it, Best Buy's employee discount is the store's cost + 5%. So, if they are advertising something for $200, but the store paid $210 for it, you won't be getting an extra discount. If there's something you want that she can get cheaper than what it's advertised for, then it won't matter when you buy it.
