Yes, their price match policy + 10%. Makes camping out at BB unncessary not that that's a doable option anyways and ensures you'll get the absolute lowest price on BF.

Well..finished looking it over..and I think....there's really nothing that says "I MUST GO"..at least last year they gave out gift cards...I might drop by later in the day and get a sweater or something, but really..no eye-openers..especially in electronics...

   Tell me..when the hell were you able to do that? 99.9999999999999999999% of stores nowadays move ALL their employees off from CS and onto registers and to help inventory and bring people to the front...I would NEVER count on pricematching on BF..I think I was able to do it ONCE 2 years ago..but they've gotten smarter and know that they can't take the risk of pricematching..not on BF only sales anyway...maybe the next day after..if you;re lucky..

Impressive work 90K5 !!!

I thought the HDTV's would be lower but let's see what BB, CC and Fry's come back with!

Edit: For example, I just compared Sear's current online price ($799.99) for the Samsung LN40A500T1FXZA with the Black Friday ad price for the Samsung LN40A500 ($799.99) and the prices are identical. I don't know if the ad simply chopped-off the last few ID's for the TV or if there is some significant difference. If anyone is waiting for this deal, I'd suggest going in before November 15th and getting an extra 10% off by using your Sears card. Hmmmm .... perhaps not such a wonderful Black Friday deal after all?

It's listed under Fine Jewelry. My personal Seiko was purchased in 2001, and running fine. My Dad bought his Seiko in 1972 on base in Vietnam, and it's still running. As for functionality, some styles will work in both formal and informal occasions. I'm not sure about your question - unisex/sporty watches tend to be the ones with the Alarms and other bells and whistles (They do have an Ironman sports watch). The watches shown appear to have date function and three additional watch hands... I guess you'll have to mosey on down to your Sears and see what styles they are carrying.

I'm really loving the Washer Dryer deal. We really are in need of both and that price can't be beat

I spent the same amount last April for a pair that was smaller in capacity, not front loader, and while highly rated on the energy efficiency scale, not Energy Star. Awesome deal IMHO.

Very dissappointed in the TV prices. Seems like the recent slick deals have been equal to or better than Sears' BF ad. Both have Samsung 32" for $500.

But a recent slick deal had the Samsung LN52A650 52" for $1678, while Sears' BF price is $2100.

Better to buy now from a slick deal than wait in line.

I was thinking the same thing on the reviews. I really have a hard time believing that a Kenmoore product is not good. If anyone thinks otherwise or has had experience with these please tell. Also, they are 599.99 if you get there before noon as a doorbuster item. I am pretty sure I can get at least $200 out of my current washer and dryer, they are still in good shape. So if these are any bit better, which I'm sure they are, that will be a really good deal in my mind.

Good Point as Kenmore isn't normally high end but fairly decent and reliable. My current washer and dryer are 10 years old and still fairly good (but dryer is taking longer to dry now) I also have a Kenmore range and fridge (trio) as well all roughly 8-10 years old as well so I guess not to bad. Was looking at the Samsung pair and don't mind spending the extra money if they'll last longer but one never knows.

I asked BE about the washer/dryer in the tech support forum.
He suggest getting models that start with 110 because they are whirlpool. Samsung he says to avoid because its foreign and will be difficult to get parts, and to avoid all new products that are less than 3 years old.

I am looking to get these for the new house.

Can I order the washer and dryer online for the same price if not cheaper? I remember last BF some stores allowed you to order online on thanksgiving.

Also in for the electric trimmer and weed wacker for $25 each.

I was not to impressed this year. I am looking into the roll around tool chest combo's. Any tool junkie have prefrences or suggestions on those. I am also looking into the 699 washer set, most likely just a pipe dream though.

I saw the Canon Powershot A590is 8 mp for something like 139. I paid 115 for mine + a MIR a few months ago from newegg. So that isn't such a great deal.

Does it seem odd that they have the Sony 350 cheaper than the Samsung 1500? The Sammy is Profile 1.1, which can be upgraded to 2.0. But the Sony is already 2.0. Though the Samsung is supposed to be $150 at other places.

Small print on pg. 10 of SE4pdf (second to last page of full ad) says that they will not price match if 1) a product is on sale for less than 6 hours or 2) the day after thanksgiving.

So no pricematch at Sears on BF unless you get a cool manager.

Okay after re-reading the add, in my opinion, there is no 10% for using Sears credit card. You get free delivery via mail-in rebate or no interest, no payment, for 12 months for using Sears credit card

25% off Kenmore Elite during door buster hours means that the price shown is 25% of their regular price or msrp. Not an additional 25% off ad price. 20% off during BF and Saturday on Kenmore appliances and 10% off all other brands.

One interesting thing is that the small print says that they will give rainchecks and it does not have any exclusions for when they give a raincheck. Therefore, if you go during door buster hours and they are out of an item. They have to give you a raincheck for the sale price. I am new to BF only my second time, sorry if you knew this already.

Everyone does this every year. Every year I've been looking ppl come back saying they got a price match. I got my Panny Camcorder last year for $139, it was a BB pricematch.

Incidentally that early morning I walked right up the to Customer Service rep who was playing with the camcorders and showed him the BB ad. He said "Sure, I'll pricematch that!" He then got swamped with about 3 other customers and instructed another Cust service Rep to help me. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so I live in a very competitive area.

If you keep your eyes open this year you'll see dozens and dozens of posts by people who successfully pricematched on BF if not Sears, then other company like Montgomery Ward.

Well, BB was $149 and I was supposed to get 10 percent of the different which would have been $15 but the cashier screwed up the math, but I didn't complain.

You must live on the East Coast because that's the only scenario where I can see attitudes like that prevailing.

AFAIK, the major national retailers, with the exception of Wal*Mart, normally will NOT do a PM on BF. Especially stores such as BB and CC. And I live in Southern California, thank you. I appreciate your kind and charming San Bruno attitude, must be the water or something. I wasn't trying to yell at you, I said what is fact. You got lucky, congratulations. I said the same, that I have been able to PM myself, but the rare occurrence is that DO NOT COUNT ON IT. And it's bad advice to tell others to PM on BF. Maybe it's your local area, I don't know. But generally every year, I see that people either
a.) fail at pricematching
b.) have a .001% chance of getting a new employee to do it for you.
c.) do it at Wal*Mart where many reports say they accept it.
d.) lie about it.
..okay? Don't need to get in a fight. I'm just trying to make aware that you should not count on PMing on BF as most of the time it is not possible.

I suggest if you can order it online on thanksgiving. I am not 100% sure that they will sell the appliances online for the same price (hopefully they will be cheaper online). I am most likely going to order a washer and dryer, so I don't need to go to the store since I have to get it delivered.

You have to physically pick up the machines and bring them to the register. Make sure you pick the right pair of machines because if you pick the wrong combo, they force you to put them both back and start your selection process over (that's a lot of lifting!). Or you could order online and let someone else do the heavy lifting. :P

You shouldn't buy a major appliance on BF, my personal advice at Sears. Sears will not last long in the business - after the first of the year. They continue to have special sales on appliances excepially Kenmore (manufactured by other, example whirlpool) where you are looking at 28-35% discounts. See previous threads on these sales. Very informative about buying appliances and in certain cases not buying certain ones - problems with refrigs. Whirlpool is also on the ropes.

You will want to research your possible appliance with consumer reports and any other agency out there where you can get reports. The sales staff at Sears in appliance are no longer knowledgable on those types of days (BF) to ask questions. Research before you go and know what you want to buy. Certain BF appliances are very bad to buy and note that Sears will no longer (haven't been lately) a good guarantee of their own products.

Again, read the previous Sears Days threads on appliances.

Kenmore washer and dryer front loaders for $699.99

Basically buy washer, get dryer free......that's a damn good deal.

Thanks OP.

Don't do it. I've had two sets of kenmore wash/dryers and both were crap. They eat apart your clothes and then you have to fight Sears to make them do the honorable thing by replacing them with store credit for a different purchase (they won't even take them back).

I've successfully PM'd on BF many times. Sears did call CC and BB to confirm if something was in stock. I pre-purchased a plasma a few days B4 BF, then went in on BF to PM CC. Not a problem at all. Since I didn't pick up the plasma, it was either Sears PM or I cancelled the sale. Been watching it all year and love it.

The black ball bearing tool storage chest is a great deal at $375. If anyone needs a tool chest, that's a nice one - and black is different than the normal red.

Thanks for the BF ad. We just moved to Colorado and needed a washer and dryer and noticed there is a good dealer on the Samsung for $999 for the pair. I went to a local appliance store and I asked them if they pricematch and said they would. I then asked what about on Black Friday and they said yes so I gave them a printout and told them I wanted the Samsung. They then said oh not sure if we can give that price. The store manager was right there and he said he would.

Sweet deal!!! and I don't have to deal with the headache of the crowd!!!

AFAIK, the major national retailers, with the exception of Wal*Mart, normally will NOT do a PM on BF. Especially stores such as BB and CC. And I live in Southern California, thank you. I appreciate your kind and charming San Bruno attitude, must be the water or something. But generally every year, I see that people either
a.) fail at pricematching
b.) have a .001% chance of getting a new employee to do it for you.
c.) do it at Wal*Mart where many reports say they accept it.
d.) lie about it.

The name of this thread is called "Best Buy Wouldn't Price Match" it's from 2007 archive, and if you think all these people are lying you're crazy. I can come up with lots more testimonials like this but I don't have time for all of it. I got all these people who pricematched and this is just from one thread! There's lots more threads where people pricematched, it just takes a long time to go through them because it's not that obvious most of the time. The stores they hit up ran the gamut from Target, CC, BB, Sears, etc. I tried to make sure I didn't include any Walmart posts since they are pretty good at PM'ing.

From: gwad_k: No problem in Columbus, OH at Polaris location. Target had a bunch of movies I wanted, but only in Full Screen. Took my chances with Best Buy and they matched all of them. Saved me about $20 off of what Best Buy was selling the movies for.

From: BeanMeScot: Mine price matched for me, as usual. A DVD and I got the Zelda Nintendo Special Edition with free accessory set and free game AND price mached to Fry's at $138.

From: Wiliocom: I was able to go to Best Buy this afternoon and get 2 of the Seagate externals pricematched to Circuit City for $79.99. The manager said you must be the only person we are letting get a price match.

From: Kdblev: was pleased with best buy up in Kentucky where we are visiting. matched target on a wii game with no problem at all. I didn't expect them to, but just asked in case. Was shocked with they said yes. Thank you BB!

From: P3R3: They PM'd NBA 2k8 for me today, no hassle! Why not buy at Target if you had a hassle?

From:smckdwn989: the bestbuy that I went to pricematched at customer service. I was able to get Gears of War pricematched down to 38 - 10dollar coupoon - 10 dollar credit... so I scored it for 19 dollars out of pocket... i was quite happy...

From: vlee99: Last year's BF, I got a price match on a Best Buy's secret internet ad 42" panny plasma at Circuit City for under a grand.

From: sachelee: i went to one Best Buy...they said it was policy not to price match.I went to the second one they let me price match a Zune and choose any color I wanted.Different stores, different managers, different attitudes.

From: Jalard123: At the sales yesterday, I tried to pricematch Guitar Hero 2 for 360, which CC was selling for $60. The person said they couldn't cuz it they don't pricematch BF sales. I then went to another checkout line and they pricematched 110% without any problem. Didn't even ask anything or get a manager.

From: Shabazi: Sears lets you price match the bf sale...
i got the 46" sharp aquos that was at cc for 1299.99 PM'ed to sears... but she wouldn't give me the 110% guarantee, she gave me 70 dollars off instead.. so the subtotal was 1239.99

Just wanted to clarify the post about Price Matching at Sears this year.

FYI: My hubby is a Sears department manager and has been with them for 10+ years.

Yes, most Sears locations have a good track record of price matching on BF in recent years (on non-doorbuster items). Not all locations have honored the policy, but those with good profitability and management would.

No, Sears will not "officially" be price matching on Black Friday this year. They got internal documentation on it just recently. I say officially, because a lot of department managers who have $$ goals to attain might be willing to keep the business. If you have a good relationship with a veteran sales person or department manager, then I would be asking them now about PM'ing.

The stores WILL price match, yes. However, they WILL NOT price match during the morning of BF, and NOT on the doorbuster items. Yes, there are some managers who are trying to get market-share from other stores competing near them(even if it's another BB when you're at BB), but most will not.

From what I saw in your quotes from that post last year, most were for DVD's, video games, and done in the afternoon. The few that involved more big ticket type items were from CC, who have been going downhill at a sprinter's pace over the past 3-4 years, so they NEED the sales. If you'll notice, CC is closing a ton of stores because of this, this year. It would have been foolish of them not to PM and lose a sale when they're hurting.

Yes you can use two guitars on the same game for multiplayer purposes(co-op or rock off against each other). Depending on which GH game it is, you should be able to sell it fairly easily online if you price it fairly.

linky (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=13793211&postcount=37)

Based on some of comments in the other thread, contract ratio is 20000:1 in 500 model and NOT 30000:1 as was posted on Sears site.

Just to hopefully help out on the mystery A500's, I believe the many comparisons to the A550's to be incorrect. This myth was propogated due to these models being mistakenly available online a couple weeks ago and their web specification sheet being identical to the A550. I haven't poured over the specs, but I believe the A500's to be more of a custom Sears A530 model. I only say that because of the 20,000:1 contrast ratio instead of the 30,000:1 on the A550. The internal widgets and connectors may be different, that's far from what I care to worry about. The bezel and speaker location my be different. Other differences noted in the previous link I believe are accurate. One noticeable customization is the absence of the side input panel.

Commenting on the quality of my sets is usless since it is highly subjective. A safe bet may be to go to a B&M store and view the A530 to get a ball-park idea on the picture quality.

I read bad things about the Kenmore on sears website too. However, BikerEric suggests going with Kenmore as it is easier to get repair parts than Samsung.

I found reviews for the Samsung on Lowes; good reviews. You may have to google the model number, but if you look I am sure you can find reviews.

Does it seem odd that they have the Sony 350 cheaper than the Samsung 1500? The Sammy is Profile 1.1, which can be upgraded to 2.0. But the Sony is already 2.0. Though the Samsung is supposed to be $150 at other places.

I'm in the market for a blu-ray DVD Player. I'm waiting for BF to get some good deals. What places will have the Samsung Blu-Ray player for $150?? BTW...which is better? The Sony or the Samsung?

I see that the Kenmore washer / dryer for 599 is 699 after 12pm on Friday. Does this mean that they stock on these will be fairly robust?

I plan to get there early, before the store opens. We need a new washer and dryer but how early I get there will depend on the stock. Any idea's on how many they will sell at one location? I know they are stored in a warehouse but didn't know if they set a limit on how many they can sell during the sale.

Sears Family and Friends VIP Night Discount 11/16 6PM-9PM

Usually this is the best time to pick up washers and dryers - especially if Kenmore is already discounted - if not then check what other brands have a discount/rebate going
Use sears.com/rebates and put the date in and see! I am hesitant to mention fridges as the quality seems to be dropping. Be sure and read previous threads on previous family nights postings. Very informative as to the "kenmore" brand and what to watch out for.

BF Sears night has interesting items, but this night give you a choice to be more informed on appliances/rebates cash back etc. It does work on-line also - but there have been some problems in the past!

It appears that on Friday 5am - Noon; and 7AM-12 Saturday - the pair is $699; afterwards each is priced serately at 479 & 599 (if I read correctly, you should). I would research the reports on each 48102; 88042. They do not appear to be Kenmore elite? I haven't look yet. The price of the Samsung below is also interesting.

Usually they back order stock and I do not see any limited to stock on hand. Is there any disclaimer in there?

No, they aren't elite. I was really thinking about getting these but now I'm not so sure on them. I looked at them yesterday and they seem somewhat on the small end and not as good of quality. I did some research on the Kenmores. About 25% of the reviewers had low opinions of both the washer & dryer - especially of breakdowns even in the dryer. Sears IS going out of business, the CEO is trying to run a K-mart style operation in a slowing (stopped) economy and was already in SERIOUS trouble before the economy went south. As Kenmore is specificaly Sears - warranty (or extended warranty) - may not be any good. As a soothsayer - after the first of the year - Sears is gone! Really, it is that bad! I would stay away from the Kenmore deal - even at that price.

I looked up the Samsung on Sears site, no review. I will take the word of the tjbany and also hold off - I really think I did need a new washer & dryer; but, I am not willing to take the chance. Come to think of it - the pair I got (GE) over 10+ years ago came from Cousins and really no problems at all so far - that long(?)!

Kenmore brand is a Sears (made for brand) - they subcontract the work out to different makers every few years - including and to Whirlpool. Who is going to stand behind the Kenmore warranties WHEN sears goes - I honestly thought there is no one - am I wrong?
I had been thinking of a kenmore dishwasher (made by Whirlpool); I think I just talked myself out of that buy. I just recently bought a Sears Kenmore stove because I had problems with the previous Kenmore stove which went south, out 1 year after buying.
Who is going to stand by the warranty?

I just called my local Sears and asked about price matching/protection on Black Friday. I was told they will price match Black Friday deals. Was wondering if I should get the Sharp 46" LCD now, and get it price matched during the sale? Has anyone done this and do they give you a hard time about it? I dont wanna take the word of someone at Customer Service only to get there that day and they wont do it.

Naza - I would get that statement in writing. I think someone is playing a joke on you - the cs are paid very low wages. Sears has made statement after statement that they will no longer PM BF deals (one day, limited quanity sale items). If Price Matched store is having a two day sale and it is not limited quanity items - then Sears will PM. Busy as they are they will probably call the store in question and they must have their manager sign off the deal! There are people who work and have worked for Sears who back my statement and I belive in these threads!

I went in to look at the Kenmore washer / dryer set and the sales person said that they are made by Frigidaire. The manufacture warranty is for 1 year, hopefully Sears will be around for another year then after that you are on your own. The good thing is that Frigidaire should have plenty of parts since a lot of them are re-used in other units. (I spoke with my brother in law, he has a friend that is in the business of appliance repairs)

I thought the washer drum looked very small... but evidently it's bigger than my current 3.2 cubic ft washer.... I'm assuming it just looks smaller in the store, I'll find out once I get them installed and try to throw a king size comforter in it. No fear! The sales person said they can handle a queen but I'm going to give a go with a king size. We put it in our current "super capacity" 3.2 cubic ft washer. :)

Sorry, I should've been more clear as to what I meant. I mean I want to buy the TV that Sears will have on sale. So I just want to get the price protection which says within 30 days they will honor a lower price if the item goes on sale. So if I buy the TV today, and its on sale on Friday, I'll go in with my receipt and get a price adjustment.
***just copied this from sears website, think I'll bring it with me tonight***
Price Protection Policy
Buy with confidence from Sears. If an item you have purchased from Sears goes on sale for a lower price within 30 days of your purchase, Sears will refund the difference.
To claim a Price Protection Policy adjustment, go to your original Sears store where the purchase was made with your receipt. You will be given a refund for the difference of the original selling price and the current advertised/reduced price.
Apparel clearance merchandise does not qualify for Price Protection Policy adjustments.
Unless otherwise stated, promotions with a specific time window such as early open specials and one -day sales will be honored under the Price Protection policy only if the receipt is presented during the promotional time window. Deferred interest financing is not a price, and is not subject to the Price Protection Policy.

Ha! So you go back to the same Sears and present the receipt asking for a refund of the difference.
A standard BF slick deal! Should work. Usually they start yanking those models and putting them in the back room. Good luck to you.

Shane - I really mean it when I say Sears will be gone within six months! If frigadare makes them you have to prove that frigadare was at fault (good luck). A class action suit? Kemore (the responsible manufacture) a unit of Sears goes with its parent company - To check with my statement I will consult my next door lawyer; but, I suspect I am totally right. I am sure there are a number of lawyers out there.
Am I right?

I guess what I'm saying is that I'll chance the units lasting a year (warranty length) then after that I would attempt to get parts from Frigidaire if / when they fail somewhere down the road. If Sears goes under in 6 months like you say, then I'll have to depend on Frigidaire and the bro in law for repairs. The nice thing is that these units aren't new models, so parts should be available from many sources.

OR...!!!

Another life lesson learned for Shane if things go to shift. :bounce:

Compared to the units that we have now, the kenmore washer/dryer is like stepping up to a Lexus from a Vega. So I am interested in finding out more about the price matching after buying now. any more info would be welcome.

The W&D... they are on sale for $560 and $480 respectively and then if you buy the pair they end up $600 after a rebate? The sale/final wording is throwing me off...

I was going to pick up the tool set last year that was in the plastic box with the drawers, thought that one seemed like an awesome deal. Was waiting to pick it up this year, but the 260 piece one they have listed does not look like the same one they had last year. Only going to be 30 bucks off what it is selling for now. Doesn't seem like nearly as good of a deal.

Anyone pick this up last year? Is this the same one? What did you pay then?

hey guys, I cant believe nobody has said a thing about the tire deals theyre doing.

Ex. - michelin weatherwise II are going for 114.99 right now at my sears, and are on sale for 54.99 on black friday. Buy 4 and you get 60 dollar gc.

54.99 x 4 = 219.96
-60.00
159.96

Thats less than what I paid a year ago for 2 tires only at sears.

It's funny. I talked to someone from Penn who has tried to get parts from Frigdare to fix a fridge. It just cannot be done was his comment. Not like parts for a GE brand which are readily available.

And for tires, a lot more reliable; but, with a guarantee, right? Will that guarantee be honored if they go under. I am trying to say that you must take this under consideration.
I have had only one tire in my lifetime go prematurely bad - and I just wrote if off (not sears). Tires are a lot easier to deal with then a frig or washer.

It seems odd that you can only get the rebate for the delivery if you don't choose the interest free financing. We were thinking of signing up for a Sear's card, but having to pay a $75 Delivery fee as a trade for no interest doesn't really sound that great. You'd think they would have something extra for card holders rather than making them choose.

So I checked out the Sharp 46" LCD at Sears that will be $899 on BF. The pic quality wasn't good to me. The saleman said that a tv of that size usually has 3x's the amount of pixel ratio. (ok dont ask me what it means I saw it on the info tag too, it was way less than the other tv's lol) Anyways, I ended up buying the 50" Panasonic Plasma
TH50PX80U, which is on sale for $999 right now, but 10% off w/Sears card. HOWEVER, I went to Circuit City because I dont have a Sears cc, and the 3yr Service plan was $100 more at Sears AND I get a AAA discount at CC. So at Circuit City I ended up paying $1220.36 ttl w/tax and 3yr SP. Over $100 LESS than I would've payed with the 10% discount at Sears. Yay! lol Thanks everyone for making me realize I get a AAA discount thats useful to me for once!

Definitely check out the Samsung washer/dryer thread - it appears that you should at least consider trying to do a PM on the 16th. They appear to be selling them for under the BF price, especially through Lowes. To up above - circuit city filed Officially two days ago; check the details of the extended warranty you bought and the company.

To the opinion of the Kenmore - please read previous comments - go to sears and look up the comments submitted on these items. They are your best and probably only comments available; except, for some forums out there.

Posting this here (did elsewhere too) to ensure folks are careful with efforts when trying to pricematch with Sears. They don't always follow their own policies (see below)... I've run into this with trying to get them to pricematch with Frys today. Good luck to everyone on finding the deals this year.

"Thank you for again contacting Sears regarding your price match request with www.frys.com. We appreciate your interest in purchasing from Sears.
We apologize that our previous response did not correctly address your inquiry.
In researching prior requests we found the Fry's local stores do not consistently support the www.frys.com pricing and therefore cannot be considered fully affiliated local retail stores. Unfortunately, we cannot match pricing from the retailer you found since it did not meet the criteria set forth below. In order for us to match another retailer's price on an item, the retailer must be local, sell the identical branded item (with the same features, including a valid US warranty), and have the item currently available for sale and delivery in your area.

Sears Pricing Policy states:
Retail Competitors
If you find a lower price on an identical branded item with the same features currently available for sale at another local competitor's retail store, Sears will match that price plus, give you 10% of the difference. Just bring in the original advertisement to a sales associate at the time of or within 30 days after, your purchase.

Online Retail Competitors
If you find a lower price (including shipping, handling and delivery) on an identical branded item with the same features currently available for sale and delivery in your area from a local competitor's retail store's online site, Sears will match that total price Plus, give you 10% of the difference. Just print the ordering page, including shipping, handling and delivery, and bring it to your Sears store at the time of, or within 30 days after, your purchase. Just print the ordering page, including shipping, handling and delivery, and bring it to your Sears store at the time of, or within 30 days after, your purchase. If you are purchasing the item from Sears.com, fax your request to 1-515-334-9225.

Sears Holdings
If you find a lower price on an identical branded item with the same features currently available for sale and delivery in your area from another Sears Holdings retail format or website; including Sears, Essentials, Grand, Hardware, Outlet, Dealer, The Great Indoors, Kmart, Lands' End, Sears.com, Kmart.com, LandsEnd.com, TheGreatIndoors.com; Sears will match that price. However, the price match will be for the difference only, and does not qualify for the additional 10%. All other rules for qualification apply.

Exclusions
Sears will not price match competitors' bonus or free offers, special offers, rebates, financing offers, coupons, clearance or closeout prices, or prices on used, damaged, returned, open box or display merchandise, service contracts or automotive services, or installation, delivery, or assembly services. Sears will not match typographical errors or competitors' prices that result from a price match. Sears Price Match Plus Policy does not apply to parts, Sears licensed partner websites, digital services, "Sears Presents" and Shop At Home catalogs. Stores in Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii will not match any online prices. An additional 10% will not apply to price matches within Sears Holdings formats. Photo copies of advertisements or receipts will not be accepted as verification of competitor pricing.

I'm sure layaway is bound to be real popular with the trailer park crowd  , but I'm not sure how that's going to increase sales since there are these neat things called credit card that let you pay for things in "installments" and have it now as opposed to putting it in the back room of the store and having it sit there while you pay it off in installments.

Some people would rather pay for something without the risk of interest piling up and in cash installments. I don't think that it only applies to the "trailer park" crowd. I'd prefer layaway and I hardly live in a trailer park. Credit might be fine for some, but I prefer not to add things to my credit whenever possible.

You're also implying that everyone using layaway will wait until the last possible minute to get the item.

I've used layaway before simply to get the sale price on an item and keep it hidden for a month for my DH's birthday. There was no credit involved on the purchase. It's just hard to hide a recliner for a month in my car or living room without my DH seeing it. Sooooo....if you don't like layaway that's fine, but there are quite a few people who might just be using layaway to stowaway Christmas gifts for others.

From Kmart's layaway terms, just in case you were wondering:

• The Service Fee on all new Layaway contracts is $5.

I'm sure Sears will do something similar. Better than paying off the interest on a credit card, if you're going to let it run a couple of months, but still something to keep in mind.

I don't know if anyone knows this or not, but on the washer and dryer deal, you have to buy a stand for each one. I think they are about $200 each.

Just a heads up, I work at Sears for the in store signing dept. and we are early activating the ad at 3pm today so that we can put up our sale signs tonight for Fridays ad. This is for the clothing and housewares depts, I can't confirm the other depts in the store.

I just got our local ad, and it has the samsung washer and dryer, in it but it is missing alot of the other things. I think it is because it is locally owned and operated store. We don't get any deals on cameras, and the like, our ad is only 4 pages. I guess we will be heading to the big city for our BF sears shopping.

Does this apply to the Kenmore Elite Appliances as well? If so, that would mean I could get the 25% off this evening instead of fighting the crowd on Friday :shake:

Weather boy - Yes, when calculating the Kenmore % off in one F&F, it came to about 38% - there was also a sears card rebate concerning buying more then 1 appliance at a time. **FOR washer & dryer samsung - Lowes has undercut Sears it appears by advertising this special at $999** Do not even need to try and PM - see thread.

Very pissed off concerning the Pansonic Blue Ray sale($about 150), went on-line at 6 AM, found they were out-of- stock. Sent an email in to be notifed and got notification today - now $250. Sears keeps shooting itself!

do you have to buy the washer and dryer at the sears closest to your home? or can you buy it from any sears?

The pedestals are optional. You just have to get down on one knee.

Went yesterday and bought a very large tool set, some organizers, and another rolling tool chest and they went ahead and gave me the BF Prices. Very nice guy offered, I didn't even have to ask.

Is it possible to get the F&F price tomorrow at Sears? The refrigerator we wanted was a lot cheaper during the F&F sale but we wasn't able to get it. We saw the BF ad and it is $100 more. TIA

What's the F&F price? I'm looking for a refrigerator as well and the non-Kenmores are only 10% off.

I'm eyeing the 46" Sharp unit listed at $899, however when I go to Sears' site to check availability, all the stores in my area show it'll ship within 8-10 business days. Is there any way to check proper stock on these before I camp out?

Frustrating...

Confirmed today the price of the Kenmore front-loading washer dryer set. $599.99 before noon, $699.99 after noon. I ordered the set to have guaranteed availability today through a sales agent and he is going to price adjust Friday morning. I think he gets commission on the original sales amount so I bet he is happy. With tax this set came to $1476 (7.75% tax rate) without the BF savings.

He had a copy of the BF ad with him so get in there and bug them!
I did the exact same thing. I went in last night at 8pm and bought the set for $699 and was told to come in on BF before Noon and they would adjust to the $599 price....

Thanks!!

I'm thinking the same thing. a couple hours ago there were already 5 or so tents at best buy, but no one at sears. I wonder how many the store will have for one, and for two, how many people will get in line for them. It's a great deal, but it's a washer/dryer, not a computer or tv. I will however be in line for the Samsung 40" 1080p as it is, and will try to get the washer/dryer as well. My sister and I plan on being there by 3. Hopefully the line wont be bad, as we are in a town of about 35,000-40,000.

I'm usually at best buy, so I dont know how Sears handles their doorbusters......do they give out tickets or what. Anyone with past Sears BF experiences?

I noticed that most of the deals are available online now, but I want the $60 GC for buying 4 tires and that is not up yet.

Does anyone know what time the online deals will start? Will it be 5am? If so, in what time zone. I did some research and found that Sears Corporate is in Illinois, in the Central time zone. So will that deal start then?

So, I bought a $250 sears e-gift card right after my last message (5 and a half hours ago) and I still have not received it. Do you think there's any chance I will get it before the deals start? (the tire one is the only one I'm interested in)

Hate SEARS...bastards opened early. I pulled into the lot at 4:45am. Supposed to open at 5am. They had already been open for 45min which destroyed the chances of me getting ANY of the doorbusters they advertised. (well at least not today) The items I wanted of course were not there so they took my money anyway and I have to wait a few days...they said the 2nd so I figure I'll be lucky if I get mine before Christmas.

what a bunch of BS. never again.

Thank god for SlickDeals or I wouldnt ever get a break!!
