Sears Posting (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=28946&t=978637): having PS3 and WII deals, both on Console and games.
If you don't mind waiting for the Live.com Cash back, you can purchase from buy.com on ebay for 25% off with free shipping and tax free for most of us.
Sears offering $100 off Blu Ray Players with TV Purchase.... I Assume PS3 would be included

Rank ordering "best" 360 deals
By far[debatable], the Circuit City deal for the Arcade is the best deal. You're essentially getting a Pro Xbox[wrong] with a slightly smaller HD[60 vs 20gb is slightly smaller???] and an extra controller for $200.
You can now get 25% MS Live cashback for buy.com purchases at ebay. Xbox 360 Arcade holiday bundle is 199.99 with FS and you get $50 CB. No tax can make this a better deal than CC.
Target - $60 gift card with the purchase of a Pro system. Depending on how you use your gift cards, this could be as good as cash, particularly if you've got a Super Target nearby. The key to making this one worthwhile is to use the $60 only on essentials. You know, smart shopping.
Radio Shack - $50 prepaid card. I put this one below the Target deal because you have to mail off for it and it's $10 less. Sure, it's closer to cash than a Target gift card, but if you're a smart shopper, $10 is $10.
Kmart - The Gold membership is really essential to making an Xbox worthwhile, so you should consider it a necessary cost to the system. Ordinarily, it runs $50, but it's not hard to find it for $35 or so. Since you get a free month of Gold with your Xbox anyway, you've got time to shop around. And who wants to spend time in a Kmart, anyway?
The rest are essentially a wash. One or 2 games you may or may not want. Not much to get excited about, at any rate.
PS3:
PlayStation 3 Package with FREE Blu-Ray and Game - $399.99 at Best Buy
Playstation 3 Console w/ Free Shipping and No Tax - $399.99 at Amazon
Playstation 3 80GB Bundled with Farcry 2 - $399.99 Dell.com (Thanksgiving Day only)
Playstation 3 Thanksgiving Package ( Playstation 3 - 80GB Hardware, Motorstorm, Resistance, Warhawk, Blu Ray Remote, Casino Royale, Spiderman 3) - $449.99 at Frys.com
Nintendo WII:
Nintendo Wii Console w/ Free Shipping and No Tax - $249.99 at Amazon
Nintendo Wii Console - $249.99 at Kmart Thursday
Nintendo Wii Console - $249.00 at Navy Exchange

Expect average priced bundles and not too much else really. You probably won't be able to beat the deals now (i.e. the Dell deal atm).

In all seriousness, in the past 5 or 6 BFs, I don't really recall any noteworthy deals as it relates to console gaming. Usually the buzz during those times were just when new systems were coming out and that was about it.

There are usually some good deals on actual games, don't know about the consoles though. I remember last year there were deals on Guitar Hero III bundles, and I got Resident Evil 4 for Wii, which then was normally $30 in stores for $12.50 shipped through circuit city.

What are the thoughts about deals on Wii equipment? Ive already resigned myself to the fact that the console itself wont be discounted but what about peripherals? I am deciding whether or not I should just buy one now for a present for the fam or wait a while and see what happens.
I just don't want to get caught without one come Christmas.

I just bought a ps3 on Amazon using my Sony Style card ($150 off first purchase of one item over $299.00) and the Amazon coupon of $100 off purchase of 80gb PS3 and 4 Blu-Ray DVDs. Once the $150 goes through the total comes to $227. You are not going to beat that with ANY black Friday deal.

The only reason I like BF's is that they are great if you like watching TV series, for the past 5-6 BF's I've collected 24 season1-4, X-files, and Smallville each season set is like the price of 1 dvd. But for console gaming, yep, it's the pits. For some reason or other I always head out to EBgames around that time and it's always the same, no BF sale:( .

I went through live.com when it was at 30% off and bought a wii bundle off ebay. I got the Wii (reg. $249), Mario Kart (reg. $49.99), Dreamcast 7 in 1 Wii play (reg. $79), and the Wii fit (reg. $140). After discounts it came out to $380 shipped. Not too shabby IMO. That deal can probably be beat, but it worked for me!

Target is offering a 360 pro 60gb with a $60 giftcard for $299, and there is currently a $1000 tv with free xbox on FP
Does anyone know if Circuit City's Xbox 360 deal (Xbox 360 Arcade Holiday Bundle w/ Extra Controller & 20GB HD - $199.99) comes with a refurbished hard drive or a new hard drive?
I'm trying to decide between Circuit City's 360 Arcade + Controller + 20GB (not sure if new or used hdd) or Target's 360 Premium 60GB + $60 gift card.

CC's deal comes with a refurbed HD: link (http://bfads.net/XBox-360-Arcade-Holiday-Bundle-w-FREE-Wireless-Controller-and-Refurbished-20GB-Hard-Drive-at-Circuit-City)
IMO, Dell has a better deal, $200 for an arcade without an HD but it has 7 games including Rock Band 2, likely game only not kit bundle. This deal works out for me since I have a stratocaster and wired controller that I use on my PC. link (http://bfads.net/Xbox-360-Arcade-with-7-Games-Total-Including-Rock-Band-2-at-Dell-Home)
For storage options either (applies to all elligible Arcade/Core owners):
~Refurbished 20gb + 3 months of XBL gold for $30 straight from Microsoft -> link (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/hddoffer/default.htm)
~Choice of free 512mb memory card or refurbed 20gb for $20 through Microsoft's storage upgrade program -> link (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=389033&t=956139&highlight=arcade+upgrade)
getting a used hard drive doesn't sound like a good idea to me...
also I don't want Rock Band 2 really
I want a 360 with a new hdd, call of duty 4, 12months xbox live gold, and an extra controller
what will be my best way to get these things at a good price?
I think it would be best if I got the 360 60gb at target with free $60 gift card, get xbox live from newegg, but where is the best price for cod4 and a controller? (I prefer official microsoft controller)

Circuit City is offering an extra controller and the 20gb HD. That is way better than just a Rockband 2 game since the controller goes for 50$ + the 20gb HD. I am personally looking for a 360 on black friday and circuit city has the best deal on the arcade with the free controller and the 20gb HD. You can then just pawn off the 20gb HD for like 40-50$ on craigslist then order one through microsofts program for 30$ with an extra 3 months of xbox live.
I probably wouldn't sell the hdd on craigslist or somewhere, I would probably just keep it. My only concern is how long the warranty is on the hdd, and who the warranty is through. Is the warranty through Circuit City or Microsoft? I wouldn't want it to be through Circuit City since their stores are going bankrupt.

Please don't flame for this cause it's just an opinion.
Ok, I'd hold off buying the PS3+BR movie+remote for $399. Last year after BF but about every week after that there was some special that was as good or better than this deal.
The best one a friend of mine got.
There was a deal at Walmart where you got an 80GB PS3 + ANY 10 bluray movies for $399. Then many of the people who participated in that event were lucky enough to return those movies back to Walmart w/o a receipt for a Walmart GC. Since many of the BluRay movies were movies like Sopranos season 6 (bout $100) they ended up getting more than $400 back in GC's.
I'm not saying anything like this will happen this year but if last year was any indication I'd keep my eyes open.
At least if you buy one of these BF deals I'd keep your receipt and not open it until X-mas so you ccan return it if a better deal comes along.

need advice on xbox 360 purchase, please. trying to decide if the arcade version will work for my needs.
i'm buying it to play games, mostly (madden, rockband/guitar hero, halo, etc). i'm not interested in playing online and i'm not interested in playing old xbox games.
considering my usage needs, do i really need an HD? will i be able to save madden seasons and game progress on halo on the 256mb built in card? is the card removable and upgradeable? what format is it (SD, memory stick, etc)?
thanks.

last year, they bundled the ps3 with 10 free bluray titles...5 mail-in.

The CC BF ad is very vague, it says 2 free game and the 2 holiday bundle games, but it's also 2 games PLUS holiday bundle, which comes with 2 games.

If Best Buy has a good promo I am going to go there, just for their warranty. They will replace ANYTHING that goes wrong with it for 2 years, including headsets, main console, even controllers. With my kids using them, its paid for itself already a couple times. (we have two sets and I need to buy one more). The warranty is only 39 bucks. Kids the other day had a problem with the headset, took back the whole system in the box as they are required to do, and they got a totally new set including the 60g hd...for free.

HOTTER THAN BLACK FRIDAY!
Dell Home has the Microsoft Xbox 360 Pro Holiday Bundle (includes Kung Fu Panda and LEGO Indiana Jones Games along with a 60GB hard-drive) for $255 when you use the 15% Off coupon: 8BM53TB8R1DXC0
This deal compares favorably with the Xbox 360 Pro bundles being offered on Black Friday you can see in the OP that the absolute best price you can get a Xbox 360 Pro Bundle for is $300 w/ a $50 gift-card. With the Dell Coupon, you aren't tied down with a $50 gift card, you just pay $50 less!
The 8BM53TB8R1DXC0 coupon is technically for 15% Off All Software at Dell but apparently works for video games and video game consoles!
Thus you can also get the Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle (includes Kung Fu Panda and LEGO Indiana Jones Games along with a 120GB Hard-Drive) for $339.99 too.
15% Off All Video Game titles and consoles, this is the best 15% Off Coupon we've seen yet. As always, these deals don't last long so you'll have to act quick to take advantage of this deal!

At walmart you're only getting Guitar Hero 3 with guitar in addition to Arcade Holiday bundle. You're not getting any extra controllers or games.
At circuitcity you are getting extra controller and refurbished hdd.
So it is GH3 with guitar vs controller with hdd.

It's on the list of computer accessories and parts. They have the DVI video thing to convert that jap monitor to work with your other computer. Just about any other kind of wire adaptor, usb connectors, monitor extension wires, ps2 extention wires, and all kinds of female and male swap connectors and things that I think would help your shop. If that above link don't work then goto www.lducompany.com and click on computer accessories. Let me know if that is what you need and give me your email address again.

The arcade bundle itself comes with a wireless controller, 3 arcade games and tennis. So both circuit city and walmart have that. The CC deal was going to be it for me I was going to try to get it online, but the walmart deal just trumped it by far for me. LOOK AT THE MATCH UP
Here is the Walmart Deal:
$199 Xbox 360 Arcade Console with Bonus While Supplies Last
Comes with wireless controller and A/V cable
* Includes Sega Superstar Tennis and 5 arcade games
Bonus: Guitar Hero III and wireless guitar - a $79 value!
This item will be available in stores and online beginning Friday, November 28. Please check back then or visit your store
Here is the CC Deal:
Xbox 360 Arcade Holiday Bundle w/ Extra Controller & 20GB HD - $199.99 at Circuity City
So cancel out the Superstar Tennis and the Wireless controller. Thats the same for both. Note Controller is refurbished at CC view the adscan fine print. So CC now has a refurb 20GB HDD value = $20 - $30. Walmart still has 5 Arcade Games (no clue on the value of that), and The Wireless Guitar & Guitar Hero III which has a modest value of $54.99 (could get more $$$ easily).
So if you don't want to wait to get a refurb 20GB HDD mail to you, then get the CC deal if not Walmart Deal is certainly better. Most kids want the Guitar Hero Game anyway...Or you can sell it off with the guitar and make an even slicker deal for your self.
CC Deal comes with the same arcade games as the WM one...it's part of the bundle. CC gives you an extra controller (~$35 as a refurb) and the HD (about ~$30). A 360 without a HD is about useless in many respects, so you'll still need to buy a HD for the WM one. CC is the better deal no matter how you cut it.

I initally thought walmart included an added controller I was looking at it and realized it didn't. If you resell the Guitar Hero and Wireless Guitar and use the moneyto purchase a controller and HDD you can still save 20 bucks or so if you really want to pinch some money. Also, if your kids really wanted Guitar Hero's you can get the walmart deal and then hit ebay for the extra remote $20 (I prefer wired the wireless loses battery too quick), and get the HDD for $20 to $30 and save money as well.
Again it depends on what you want. I'll be selling the guitar and game on ebay and getting my own controller and HDD giving me a final cost of e/t to be about $170. I wish I didn't miss the FYE deal, because none of this would be relevant then LOL.

What are you smoking? You would be lucky to get 50-55$ or less for the Guitar Hero 3 + guitar. New controllers are 40$ and getting a refurb hard drive from microsoft with 3months of live is 30$. Best deal is circuit city then sell hard drive on craigslist for 30$ and buy microsofts hard drive + 3months of live for 30$. So you walk out with the arcade, extra controller, 3months of live, and a refurb hard drive straight from MS.

Well, actually, I'm pretty sure that Circuit City is including 2 extra games in their $299 Pro Bundle system. Just like Best Buy, but Circuit City has actually yet to say exactly what the two games are. If BB is any indication, I'm going with Lego Batman and NBA 2K9 as well. Plus you get a $30 GC, which I would use to get Dead Rising and something else on the spot (the next day CC will probably be out of business). You won't need the hard drive, so put it towards another controller (let's be honest, wireless is overkill. save your money you little slick dealers you). Boo yah! You just paid $300, got a new 360, at least 2 playable games (NBA and Dead Rising) and if you chipped in a little more, you've also got another controller. For even more money and time, prance on over to Gamestop and get Left 4 Dead for $49.99. Then you and a buddy can get down with that extra controller.

 Obviously im not smoking or sniffing the same stuff as you. Go to ebay your self and type XBOX 360 Controller. Plenty come up for $24.99 (used same as the one CC will offer USED). Also go to ebay and type Guitar Hero III, after the search is done on the left click new and xbox 360. Folks are consitantly selling theirs for $84.99 and up. How can you tell look at the folks selling for high amounts click there name and look at the feedback it will show how many they were able to sell at that amount (probaly more than whats listed there because everybody doesn't leave feedback). Whats left $30(HDD) + $24.99(Controller) =$54.99 and $54.99 < $84.99
Here is a tip though If you really want the CC deal so bad make sure you go to ebay and get a $$$ off coupon o %off coupon.
However, to take it another step further. If you are in the market for Guitar Hero. Then CC is DEFINATELY best for you. You can get the CC deal and if you want a guitar hero deal they have guitar hero Aerosmith on sale for $59.99 ($5 more then if you had the same componets with the Walmart Deal)

Yea for $159.99 you can get a xbox arcade with sega tennis, and the 5 arcade games. You would miss out on the refurbished 20GB Hard Drive ($29.99) and refurb controller ($24.99) but still a decent deal if you miss out on the black friday discounts.
I just found out that some stores might not honor it for bundled items. The fine print on the bottom of the coupon says it excludes bundled items. Although a few have said they have had it work in the past. I'm asking around for receipt scans to confirm.

Xbox 360 Elite + Gears of War 2 + Amazon's Lancer replica for $400
I added a wireless controller and it came to 385 total for some reason
edit: looks like it's awfully close to being out of stock

act quick; it's likely to disappear soon
I imagine I can sell the Lancer to make it even better. Not much of a GoW fan myself. Haven't even played the first one

If it's the same as this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/Gears-of-War-2-Lancer-Limited-Edition-Sold-Out_W0QQitemZ260320667872QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Def aultDomain_0?hash=item260320667872&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318), about a hundred bucks or more depending on the buyers.
I hadn't actually looked at it before, but that's more than I had figured

yeah i actually just checked ebay too as i asked you haha.
Well I guess that sweetens the deal considerably, since I was waiting around for the bundle to drop to ~315 like the dell deal a couple months back.
Thanks MrDelish. Repped.

A last minute change of plans and lack of checking up on facts led me to a Target at 4:55AM this morning (much earlier than it would've been other wise).
Was first to arrive at the XBOX cabinet for the PRO + $60 GC deal and was shocked to learn they only had 2 in stock at this Target. Some slight disorganization on the Target team led to a line formation in the games aisle as no one apparently had keys to unlock any of the cabinets. Waited paitiently directly in front of the consoles for the associates to come by (about 5 minutes after doors open) and once the cabinets were open people were getting a bit unruly. I had to chase off one woman who tried to reach around me to grab one. A firm but calm excuse me and she backed off, as I picked up the first unit and she bug-eyed and all grabbed the second. There were about 10 people by this point waiting to get the console.
If I had stuck with my original plan; no XBOX for me on this deal. What's up with stocking up on 2?!?? I read somewhere else on SD that someone's Target had 3. I thought they usually planned for 6-10 units of these kinds of deals.

I'd have to say the office depot deal is till up there for me. If you can get it (i managed to).
You get a 20gb xbox 360, with hdmi, from what i see they are all Benq drives (so moddable). You also get an extra controller (new). And Bioshock (a game you might actually play..instead of the subpar "holiday bundle"). All for $199

Happy hunting! :)
I called about that, phone rep told me deal was dead and nothing they can do about it.
