Anything less and I would expect them to be dangerous.

Apparently he came across a big supply of glow-in-the-dark aliens, which is a little odd...

Kit comes with nice brackets and instructions. Super easy to install yourself, took me less than an hour.

look for a guy name kassabian9898. he was recommended in one of the car forums and his HID works great. had them for about 2 years now and its still working fine. same with all my friends who bought it off him. go check out his feedbacks.

Do yourself a favor, and this is for other folks who are putting HID kits into their standard headlights as well - DON'T.

Yes, they give off more light and look cool, but they are illegal for a reason. Putting HID's into normal headlights that use reflectors do nothing more than blind everyone. Real HID lighting has a very sharp, very distinct cutoff line. If you're going to go HID, make sure you either have projector lenses suited for them or you retrofit projectors into your existing lights.

Just advocating public safety here.

Very true! I have a 05' Suzuki GSX-R 750 street bike and it came stock with projectors, but not HID's. Once I put the HIDs in, people would give me the one finger :wave: Oh well I'm just glad they see me on my bike!

This is true, and a good supporting argument that if you don't understand the difference, you probably shouldn't be putting them in your car as primary lighting.

Again not trying to be anal about it, just that people don't realize that 'plug-and-play' isn't always the case. I went through hell to do it the right way in my Grand Cherokee by retrofitting projectors (technically illegal since you're altering the lighting, but Ive never been questioned because they are aimed properly with a solid cutoff) because it was the right thing to do.

I am GLAD this is not on the front page. Last thing we need is more idiots driving around with improperly installed HIDs. And we both know that most people will half ass the install, making their cars much more dangerous and causing huge problems for oncoming traffic at night.

Yes, If you install HID's it is recommended to atleast get projector headlights with some kind of cut-off

i got 8k in my 01 oldsmobile aurora

got them from ebay from a US seller

paid 100$ shipped, COULDNT BE HAPPIER, buy off ebay, there fast and there good on there warranty, make sure you get a us seller/shipper, i got mine in 2 days install was a breeze
dont pay over 100$ for a bosch set or anything like that when a ebay cheapo kit will do the same and last just as long.

there mostly all plug and play, its just as easy as installing a replacement halogen bulb.
do it yourself

i guess i would order from that ddm tuning or whatever

there prices are super cheap i dont know if shipping kills the deal but there slim ballasts are nice and i might have to upgrade.

well i guess it's a good thing that I am not going to do a "half ass" job installing it.
I am sorry but I am not one of those guys that just does things cuz it looks cool. I will be doing a proper installation by lowering the beam and making sure the cut off line is not too high that it will blind other drivers. I too hate other drivers who does not align their headlights or even those who do not turn off their high beam when you drive by.
