I know you can see who is presently viewing the thread, but what about a way where you can see WHO has visited the thread in the past?

Would inspire a lot of people (me included) to switch to invisible mode, thus negating its usefulness.

I was just thinking if you make a post directed to a specfic individual, you can see if they check the thread... if you guys don't like this, then maybe an option to just check to see if a certain individual has checked it... Directed towards Alvus... For example, I wanted to see if you checked my previous suggestion... as you made an arguement, and I responded to it back, but you didn't have anything to say after that. I wasn't sure if you didn't have anything else to say, or didn't bother following up on it. I just thought it would be a nice feature.
1984 is an awesome book... ever saw the movie?

seems like an awful lot of records created for something not that useful IMO. order the posts in some of the deal forums. there are threads with 400k views. say only 50k are unique views, thats a lot of users to log and store.
IMO, if you want to know if someone looked at it, ask them

IMHO, most of the users interested in a confirmation like the one you request would not find the link on which to click. They'd go ahead and PM, anyway, and half of them would start their own threads requesting a confirmation of who has read what posts :eek:
