I WILL NOT EVER touch my computer again, after 'accidentally' erasing Windows...once. Man, I loved that computer.
I will now work mine to death and buy another. I can't do it any other way. I'm too scared!
I cried even!

The "hook & dump" plan the Desaware uses is read whenever you go to Windows updates or if employed by someone other than microsoft, whenever they have programmed the Desaware to report back. It may be every time you open a browser, or it may be a cyclic thing - like once a week & store up a list of sites visited until then.
I believe these sites are stored in an Index.dat file somewhere, maybe several, but they are there. I have read some of those Index.dat files and been amazed at how many places I wouldn't personally like anyone knowing I visited. .
For those interested in seeing just what is stored on some of those dat files, try this FREEWARE tool.

Incase you are not sure what is the document and Settings folder for your username etc, here are some shortcuts. Since you have The Address bar shown by following OP's directions, in the address bar or WINKEY+R or START_>Run type
%USERPROFILE% = Current username soc set folder
%APPDATA% = Current users Application Data folder .
%ALLUSERSPROFILE% = Doc Set for All users
%WINDIR% = Curren tWINDOWS directory (important if you installed an upgrade or another os.
there are other variables too, just type CMD at the run dialog (MSDOS PROMPT) and type SET. you will get all the %XXXXX% variables that are defined.
Hope this helps

|edwoodca||Is it necessary to search for these DW files or is it enough to just go into the Advanced tab in the Windows System Properties and choose the Error Reporting button, to disable error reporting?|
