The touchpad that was stolen by a UPS employee or someone with access to their facility was activated, so it wasn't "lost".
UPS was of no help, I just had to make many frustrating phone calls and wait eight business days for them to admit they f**d up.
HP SMB, however, was very nice. They actually sent me a replacement for the one that was stolen by UPS and I got that today. I was amazed since as we all know the item discontinued that they would be able to help me.
As noted above, the box has labels that clearly state HP touchpad inside. Not that that excuses the slime that stole it, but it sure took away the guesswork.
Yay HP SMB, Boo UPS and that is what happened to me in getting my touchpad.

|GaiaGeek||Heads up to check your credit card statements to make sure HP SMB charged you the proper amount with free shipping. My original order included ground shipping and despite their promise to give me free shipping, they charged me the extra $21 or so. A quick call to the HP SMB number listed with the charge sorted it out.|

I think it's better news than last week. HP is still in the hardware business, now. A lot can happen "in the next couple of months".

Anyone can help me with customer service number I need to call ..I had ordered 2 16 GB. One of them came fine. The other one has the charging terminal on the TP which is very loose and I can see some scratches on it.
Do you know if I can get a replacement ? or repaired ?
Please Help me !!!, this forum has been a big lifeline for the TP saga ....

my 2 (1 for me, 1 for family) arrived today; it shipped last thursday.
