|MJLouise||The rebate form says you get a "debit card." Can you take it to the USPS for a postal money order? That would be depositable into a bank account.|

Look, someone who works for Bitdefender with a killer 1st post! Bitdefender Total Security 2012 and all other 2012 products are absolutely terrible products that slow down your internet speeds and make file sharing a nightmare. Just go check the Bitdefender forums for plenty of proof. I have Bitdefender Internet Security 2011 and tried to go the 2012 route . . . big, big mistake. I downgraded back to 2011, which is not a bad product. I would avoid all 2012 versions and at least wait for the reviews and feedback on the 2013. Norton and Kaspersky would be much better alternatives that any 2012 product from Bitdefender.

|r.a.p.||I am planning to get a few....It would be a problem with the rebate form? I read it and seems like the will send 1 rebate per address, I am not sure if in California you can do more than one with the same address..|

I have been using bitdefender for a very very long time on and off and no matter which other antivirus suite i try, i usually end up coming back to bitdefender.

|faalaalee||How reliable is the rebate from this company? Can I take advantage of every single offer or it sucks like Mcafee's?|

free is not cheap enough for this poduct
support is terrible. product is buggy as all get out. It also misses many viruses. You could not pay me to load this on my system.

I've been using their software for years, it's leagues better than Kaspersky, Norton, etc. It does have an automated setup now for those who don't know much about what they are doing, but for power users it is great.
Built in web scanning does work, and very well. I used to get viruses sometimes from visiting websites that had bad scripts in them with Kaspersky. This stops them every time.
Best part is that it doesn't kill your processor like other scanning packages (mainly Norton).
I don't use the email spam scanning, so I turn that off, but their firewall protection is very good as well. You'll have to setup holes for any ports you want coming back in, but that's with any software.
