They also have DC25 and DC23 for $279....it is hard to decide. I have 80% carpet and about 20% tiles in the house.

I have this vacuum, i got it back this winter when SD had a thread for Home Depot. This vacuum is base, not a ball and it works REALLY well.
So far I enjoy using it. The suction is probably the best out of the Dyson series. I have a toy Aussie who is shedding and it only takes 2 passes to pull all of the hair out of the carpet.
The only thing I dislike about it is having to unwind all of the chord to use the hose assembly.

NEW Dyson DC33 $259.99 w/ FS @ Ebay
First post so be gentle...
New Dyson DC 33 From
vacuumwarehouse ( 42704)
at Ebay.com. At $259.99 w/FS this is a good deal - ordinarily these bounce around $300-340 not including shipping (although Amazon had a FP deal this spring at $300 w/FS for Prime).
I just took a chance on a display model earlier this week (at $229 w/FS) but with this brand new in box from an authorized dealer, this is just as good of a deal. For my personal preferences this is the best Dyson at this range - longest chord and biggest canister, great for large open spaces. The 5 year warranty is supposedly the industry standard, and I've never met a person in real life dissatisfied with their purchase.
