Got anything you do use on a daily basis?
I like SkyMotion for my weather app. ShopSavvy ... because I'm a Slickdealer. And that flashlight app has come in handy more times than I care to admit.

My sister had to get a new Lumia though...only had her first one for 3 weeks. Her screen just went black and wouldn't turn on. (Turns out, you just have to push Volume Down + Power for ~5 seconds to break it out of that. She didn't tell me she had an issue until it was too late though, and she had returned it.) Restarting would be annoying.

So far, so good. Well, at least that's the case with mine and my son's phones. My husband is on his third Lumia 822. His first and second kept shutting themselves down randomly. Verizon replaced them but only with refurbs. Can't say we're happy about that but after wasting DAYS fighting them, we gave up and accepted the refurb. He has only had the third one for a week so we'll see how it goes.
There are apps out there I would like to have but they aren't available. No big deal, though I do hope they show up sometime in the next year.
We do use the family room for pictures and our schedules/appts. It's great for stuff like my youngest son's basketball games and letting me know my husband's flight schedule.
There's still a ton of stuff we haven't figured out with these phones but what we do know, we love. The camera takes pretty good pictures and great video.

You use the Rooms feature? I really wish I could use that feature more...but I do use it for a family calendar.

That's a bummer. Thanks for your response.

Cellphone - device to make calls, texts and take pictures, small and easy to carry.
Tablet - device to do simple stuff like surfing ,email and multimedia and easy to carry.
Laptop - do moderate stuff like a tablet plus word processing, some database etc, need to carry it really?
Desktop - do disappear as too power hungry and bulky but can do some heavy stuff like AutoCAD.
Server - run the cloud and make things available like run the Internet and banks.

I suppose certain OEMs might have disabled access to it for certain scenarios (e.g. in cases where the device is a tablet and thus lacks phone functionality) but I don't really consider that to mean Android is lacking the feature.

btw there are some android phones that don't have speed dial natively lol
Also wtf iphone, no speed dial either? my mom kept bugging me to show her how to set speed dial for her iphone5 when we got it for her at launch, i had to tell her she can only do favorites.
she's like "Why? Even my old Blackberry could speed dial"

I just want to tap the icon once and have my phone dial my wife.

As I said, comparing anecdotal evidence doesn't really accomplish anything, so I decided to do some research. The statistics clearly indicate that your personal observations are not in fact a true reflection of the iPhone consumer base. As for me, I have no loyalties to any company and will select the best phone for my current needs each and every time.
