I can say, I have 2 of these - 120GB version and 240GB version (both thanks to slickdeals) I didn't update the firmware, not sure what version is but I can say they both work rock solid for months now. Can't be happier.
On the other note - i am not using them as OS drive though, i have Sniper SSD for OS. Bougth it long time ago and was too lazy to reinstall/mirror the OS to the faster Sandisk. So my Sandisk are used as gaming drives - all my games are installed on them and they are flying. Major cities in WOW load in seconds, COD, battlefield 3- all load extremely fast.

5.0.3 addresses the TRIM issue but Sandisk was supposedly waiting for 5.0.4 due to a minor bug. Even after Sandforce released 5.0.4, Sandisk wasn't in a hurry to get something out. Now 5.0.5 was released about a week ago and who knows what Sandisk will do if anything in the near future.

I would go with the Samsung 830 or Crucial M4, as they are rock solid and there are some great prices to be had. If the fastest performance is your thing, get the Force GS, but I doubt the typical user will ever notice a difference in daily use.

Not that 5.0.2 fixes the TRIM issue, though, apparently, according to TT.
