|spets||A little disappointed that it didn't come with a DVI cable (just VGA), but pretty happy with the quality!|

-An HD tuner
-Typically more inputs (RCA, Component, which are never on a monitor since computers dont output with those)
Downside is that a TV may have lower response time, input delay, or overscan. Though those issues are rare these days as I use an 24" 1080P HDTV for a monitor myself and it works perfectly, but I also have a 5 year old 32" TV and with HDMI input from my PC, it has horrible overscan that I can't fix (no 1:1 mapping). Their resolution will either be 720p or 1080p, cheaper 32" are going to be 720P (1366x720p) which is far too low for a computer monitor.

i need hdmi for a lot of my devices, and i really can use the speakers.
i usually like to set up an extra monitor at the art studio i work at, and i don't want to buy speakers for the occasional music i would play, or if i wanted to hook up my smartphone to watch a movie while i worked, the hdmi would come in super handy.

|baphomet58||Hilarious. 2012, no HDMI and this is considered a 'slick deal' by 10 people. My LG I bought 3 years ago has HDMI.|

I'm also impressed by Samsung's LED backlighting. The Asus isn't LED backlit.
